I’ve got to be honest about your comment. Personally, I can do without every other thing in the list other than savings/investments and real estate and book collection. That said, not including having a mortgage as ‘owning your own home’, this is pretty hard for many to attain these days in our modern day climate. Not saying it’s completely out of reach, but a vast majority of folk are locked into mortgage deals and they’re over 40. Maybe even the same folk would say they own their own home🤷♂️
Real talk, I think theres a subtopic that could be had here cuz trust me, going up the ladders of life can be brutal. Then you see a list like this and feel even worse if you might not have certain things. Literally its just keep pushing man.
The book collection seems to serve only to suggest to guests that you read. Why keep books around after you've read them? Whenever I see someone with a substantial book collection, I wonder. Did he read these? If so, why doesn't give them to someone else? Usually, such people are posers. Pseudo intellectuals.
It's so crazy that you dropped these videos before I turned 40, right before my 39th birthday. Jeff, you are dropping that content right on time. I'm glad I got the time to grab your latest videos.
Great video. I think another important thing of reaching 40, is finding a network of successful men around you. Of course you can’t „own“ this, but I think it is an essential as well.
@The Style O.G: Lords will ill be 40 later this year, and a few of these important things you mentioned I must step my game up with like Life insurance/Health insurance/Tool set/better travel luggage/savings acct. Iam looking into a better bed, and a few other amenities. Keep up the great work brotha! Peace!
32 years old and still going strong. I heard these tips before from someone else and it's always great to watch this video for a great reminder. Thank you and I have subbed
Land ownership is real wealth. Because it's your own piece of the world, and land ownership was a sign of real wealth that was passed down from our ancestors. You also have the ability to create your own community and foster your culture on your own land. Get out of these concrete jungles, and own some land.
@@thescepterofjudah12 as a person who owns land its not for everyone. we have to stop saying blanket statements about certain investments. I own a small farm and things come along with that. Its a responsibly everyone doesn't need. Even when I owned just a plot of land in the city its time consuming.
Passport thing def hits me more I’ve traveled to my fathers country seen so much know I came back in a sense trying ways to make money probably in ways to invest thanks for video style og it’s good to be back watching your videos
Love this video sir, although i am over 40 single not married and childless , this just reconfirmed what i ve known innately, there are few things on the list I need to bring myself up to speed on
I'll be real with you. Im not getting a passport. I am a trucker and I travel for a living and i dont want to travel in my free time. I with yoh on everything else
Great content as always. Reassuring to know that I’ve most of them from the list. Need to look into health insurance since I turned 40 couple of years back.
Thank you for a great video! The main thing I took away from having the things you mentioned is they all show evidence of growth and maturity. Your points on having a passport are very key. I’ve been an international traveler since I was a child. And I can tell you the world experiences have been helpful in my growth. Fellas - and ladies too - get that passport early in life. I know a few people who do not have a passport and they are really missing out on truly understanding other cultures.
Great video, i agree with all the points. Your one of the top channels i watch and have actively started transitioning my style of clothing. Along with other things, appreciate the info. Keep pushing it definitely needed for us 40+ smooth gents out here!
A timeless watch. How refreshing to allow your viewers to find the product that fits them. I had feared you would say buy a Rolex. Great list and very reflective of where a man should be by 40.
I've been to 10 countries, most without even owning a passport. I really don't have any interest in seeing any more of the world. Most of the world sucks and it sucks more and worse than wherever you are now.
One could argue the Marlin is a classic. Or an Orient Bambino. Both of which are well under $500. Price doesn’t matter when it comes to being classic. Cl
I just turn 36 and it’s only 3-4 items on this list that don’t have, but ironically they’re on my list of goals for the year. I guess I’m headed in the right direction
Salute Sir 10 years ago this list was quite manageable. I was fortunate to purchase a home in 2011 when it was a buyers market.. With the insanse cost of living, unprecedented inflation, and record high home values... These measureables you've outlined are going to be quite difficult for most.
Turned 40 a month and four days ago. This video is right on time. 😫😂🙏🏾💯 I also wanna add that I have very little gray hair. And the little I have isn't really visible, except the few in my beard. Thank you baby Jesus. 🙏🏾😂
