    "It's diff 10, it's meant to be hard!"
    It's only really hard because you are not in control of your character 85% of the time. Make Diff 11 just disable your keyboard when a bot sees you for the REAL challenge.

      Pretty much, most my deaths were out of my control throughout many attempts. Getting ragdolled from a rocket that didn't even hit me at the start of the vid sums up the experience

      @@OhDoughI feel it’s also important to know that since this is a team game, they balanced not around one player, and I’m not talking about how many enemies spawn, although that’s an obvious factor, the main reason for so many ragdolls is that since your one player, ALL enemies focus on you, as opposed to 4 people, so you get hit with everything they’ve got, the amount of ragdoll deaths with a full group are far less in my experience

      ​@Rocket_Devastator if it takes this long for a reason to add or not to change something then it is not a PVE change or add because you really need to make sure ONE side to be happy and right now the Ai gets more buff while the side that make the game alive gets more weaker and almost every new weapon and others like armor 80% off the times are useless. I'm sorry, but you are defending people who use *realistic* changes only to make things harder for a PVE GAME

      Same, just returned to the game after like a month, just to land in my first mission next to an Impaler that proceeded to play volleyball with my body for 5 minutes straight. Stims kept my body alive, but my spirit didn't survive.

      @@Rocket_Devastator if they don't want people to play SP, make it impossible to do so. Since they support it, and indeed have specially lowered spawns, it needs to work well.

    I love how, during Snow and Sand storms, they can perfectly see and aim at you from 200m away if you agro them, but you can't see anything past 10m.

      Are you sure? Usually during storms the bot AI is messed up and the immediately lose agro after locking on.

      @@user-tt6oe2th6b No, they barely miss or hit you 60% of the time or more during these heavy fog storms and what not, the visual clutter does not effect NPCs but it does against the player, "realism" I'm sure AH devs would say.

      It's significantly harder for enemies to spot you when they're not agro tho. It's still stupid that rocket devs can see you as if the storm wasn't there while in combat

      @@hawk9mm In my experience, the storms make it way easier to fight bots because they barely fight back during storms. Their accuracy stays the same, but they lose agro very easily.

      its so mindblowing to me they havent nerfed autocannon but just nerfed the inc breaker bc a lot of people used it. I promise second on the list was autocannon. They literally just say whatever😭

    I’ve been one hit killed by the striders with their new rockets while wearing heavy armor with the 50% reduction to explosives passive. Keep in mind that the rockets miss me by a few meters, it’s not even a direct hit.
    The problems with striders is they don’t telegraph when they launch their missiles and the missiles itself deal way too much damage. Ironically, the AT-AT cannons deal less damage than a striders rocket. The strider is one of the most dangerous enemies now.

      And, not for nothing, but they are "immune to explosives" on like half their body because that's how explosives and concussion works I guess lol. I wish they gave them more fire power but no extra armor. Fighting a hundred glass cannons is fun. Fighting something that can one me & can take a full mag to the hip joint and still not die, & it's 100 Brothers who can also one shot me is fun for a little bit, but it just feels like another change that promotes avoidance. I don't mind getting one shotted, but if they can take 10 shots and bring tons of back up, it's a losing gamble more often than not. Is that the move? To make us fight less and run more?

    New bugs I've found:
    The game is now forcing you to go ads for some reason.
    Other divers show as failed to extract even though they didn't fail.
    Other divers showing as level 0 consistently on extract.
    Reinforcement budget going to 0 as soon as someone gets on the pelican.
    Someone leaving the game just show as died for a few minutes.
    The spaghetti code is real.

    I love all the people in the comments trying to be "helpful" or say OhDough is wrong for playing solo... My brother in Crest Toothpaste he fucking soloed super helldive with 20 min to spare after completing all main objectives... The game is not hard, even solo, it is just annoying because the player is not given decent tools to combat the challenge presented.
    Every time players figure out a decent way to deal with the latest bullshit, AH nerfs it and ramps up the annoyance factor without adding any real challenge. I completed a full helldive operation (all three missions) using nothing but the incendiary breaker and supply backpack in medic armor with the stim buff. Literally only shot my gun enough to keep hunters off me while just running past everything else and stimming through all the hits I took. There is literally no point in stopping to fight because you cannot bring enough dakka to deal with the hordes after the last major patch buffing spawns into the stratosphere. And I mean this as a group... I play with a 4 man team... they all just run around causing chaos and trying to stay alive and I complete objectives. Time was, we could actually roll around as a squad and clear a path, but those days are long gone.
    I'm sure some AH apologist will think to respond with some way that we are playing the game wrong or some excuse for why things should be as shitty as they are. Do yourself, and everyone else, a favor and remain seemingly smart by remaining silent rather than removing any doubt by speaking.

      And you see, that's a major problem for me, I to could also probably solo super helldive, HOWEVER, the way I personally like to play horde shooters is oh I don't know; KILLING THINGS! If the only tangible way to beat the higher levels is to simply "run away like a bitch" then the devs can go fuck themselves. I bought this game to kill godless aliens and bots, not run away like a pussy.

      An update to this rant. Ran super helldives with my buds yesterday. Since we knew we were going into utter bullshit we decided to try meme builds and even attempted using the buddy back pack system. I ran a quesodilla canon and a crowd clear primary while taking teammate 1's AC back pack to load him. TM1 took the AC and the guard dog rover so he had a little extra add clear while mowing down medium armored enemies. TM2 brought a supply back pack to keep us stocked.
      We could not move from our drop location until we STOPPED trying to play as a team. We wracked up tons of kills and only heavies could get near us, but there was such a continuous wave of enemies that we just didn't have the fire power to punch through without scattering like rats.
      I'll say it louder for those in the back. AN AUTOCANNON WITH NEAR CONTINUOUS FIRE could not PUNCH THROUGH ENOUGH BUGS FOR US TO MOVE ANYWHERE!?!
      In the course of fighting off a single bug breach we went though nearly ALL of our ammo. Including the resupplies from the supply backpack...
      Yet, even after all of this fucking around and bringing VERY suboptimal builds once we started soloing as a group we still managed to complete all the objectives and one helldiver even managed to evac. >.>
      PS: We are only middle of the road players in terms of skill and we fuck around too much with blanket, team killing calldowns to even hold our game play to that level. I again state, AH only makes the game more annoying with their changes... not harder.

      Fully agree. I like playing stealthy/scout builds, just running around doing optional and main objectives while having the smallest amount of time with enemy aggro to do my thing. But just because I enjoy doing that doesn't mean that it's fun for everyone else whose fantasy is mowing down waves and waves of enemies, big and small. Consistently when playing in higher difficulties it seems to me it becomes less worthwhile to engage the enemies and better to just run because you'll either be quickly outnumbered or ragdolled and subsequently killed because you couldn't fight back in any way to save yourself. This is a horder shooter, not temple run

    I kinda hate the fact that just running around and not fighting breaches is the best way to go, like all the cinematic stuff of fighting the swarm or an army of bugs is lost cause fleeing and returning once they respawn is just outright the best move. Even with randoms everyone end up running separatedly and not fighting anything.

      @@nagatodan you can and it is fairly easy (at least on pc) but there's no point in doing so. Hoped difficulty 10 would bring harder breaches and something to force the team into sticking together but it simply did not.

    Bots already have too many ranged attackers with knockdown effects and yet Arrowhead in their infinite wisdom decides to add more enemies.
    Fighting bots is like being in a shed with someone throwing a bees nest inside and then whacking you around with a bat.

      @@zelbinian Difficulty doesn't have to be about adding more annoying knock down / knock back effects.
      Bug Breaches could include multiple mini breaches around the main breach that spawns little enemies.
      Dropships could have jet pack bots blast off before the dropship deploys the rest.
      You can add more RNG events like Elite versions of enemies that home in on you and you get a warning about their presence. Like mini bosses (not the big bosses from HD1).
      Heck you could literally add neutral enemies from the planets to attack Helldivers or bots / bugs if you wanted to.

      Truthfully, there is no empirical evidence proving it is EXACTLY this. It's the best explanation we have at the time. Sadly this game is hard to test with how inconsistent it is.
      If you're curious, there's plenty of anecdotal evidence that suggests SOMETHING is at play here. In my experience, I started noticing inconsistent enemy movement after the general enemy movement speed increase months ago. I would share the goog/redd post for convenience but yew tube would annihilate my comment.

      @Cosmis5 I doubt there is rubber banding. Enemies will increase their speed if they want to close the distance with you, and you can be looking at them. It's easy to notice with Striders, Hunters, troopers etc.

    I feel like Arrowhead is just trying way too hard to be From Software. People see FromSoft getting respect for making high-difficulty, high-skill-curve games and they think “if we make games that are difficult, people will think we’re a big boy studio too!”
    I just want to play a game that is fun; games that are too hard to play aren’t fun, they’re just a grind

      @@aldintv7687 lol, if primaries need half their mag to kill one basic enemy, the primaries are too weak. They don’t kill basic enemies, they don’t kill heavies, what are primaries even for? Your stratagems should deal with heavies, your primary weapon should deal with the smaller swarms.

These new pl3bs coming in here thinking that you can make the game difficult by some other "fun" way other than endlessly stunlocking them, having enemies ragdol them out of 1 meter thick solid cover by shooting a rocket on the opposite side of said cover. One bullet headshot only gets you down to 20hp, and the basic chaff only shoots in 3 bullet bursts. Just stick your head in cover and be skillful enough to invoke good luck in the form of that random rocket wielding enemy that is around every corner not to blast you out of it, even if he misses. If you get rocket combo'd across the map by rocket guys continuously ragdolling you over and over before you even get the chance to stand up from the initial ragdol is really just a skill issue. Only 50% of enemies have rockets, and only 100% of them stunlock you if they even hit the same continent you are on. Also imagine thinking your primary should be able to dispatch tier 1 enemies like ROFL!!!

At this point arrowhead should just copy paste hd1 weapons with the upgrade system instead of 2 mediocre guns and a shitty perk coming every warbond.

      @@321Isotope The thing is, in HD1 it was just like that, take the hd1 brood commander for example you could very well magdump him and you probably wouldn't even pop his head with something like a ARL-justice, this is so non at support weapons shinned, mg, flamer etc.
      tbh the moment primaries can take all medium enemies easily all non high pen support weapons go to shit, and that's just how the game seems to be designed, primaries in helldivers 1 and 2 are JUST guns just spawn in with to partially cover a niche that a support weapon does better.

      @@kato093 It's a team based extraction shooter where sometimes the best method for accomplishing objectives is for the team to break away in 4 different directions so that the whole team isn't bogged down in a positive feedback loop of patrols spawning patrols for 15 minutes when each round has a finite time limit. It's design sometimes encourages the opposite of it's supposed creators intent and they don't seem to understand that. Hence the near constant change to weapons and stratagems to enforce some theoretical game that the community doesn't actually play.

    The worst part is watching the community split we have discord/HD2 reddit sucking AH off as if they've improved the game tenfold and then we have youtube/hd reddit which are just SHREDDING the game balance usually with videos to accompany it. To me it makes no sense seeing all this "git gud" nonsense if the top 10% of gamers(Dough is probably in here) desperately struggle in solo without abusing weird game mechanics like luring breaches. Also the new flamethrower visual offends me who approved this?!

      Bro, doesn't make sense playing this game solo, you can go solo in a team. It is Dough problem ifnhe wants to go with no team at all, I can perfectly play as lonewolf with a team. From like 15 games of lvl 10 diff, I have won like 12 I think, you all complainingmfor nothing.

    I couldn't believe it unless I had not seen it. For a game to go from the top to the bottom in less than a month is insane. we are talking this game was a mine made of solid gold and the developers and Sony decided to seal the mine up and go looking for another gold mine that is less profitable. It's pathetic in terms of being competent or intelligent with decisions.

    Its a huge issue in a HORDE SHOOTER, to make engaging the horde something to be avoided. You should want to engage the horde and have the tools to do it, as long as you are playing decently well and using some tactics. The mission is secondary to blasting bots and bugs. Keep the goal, and what is fun for players, in fucking FOCUS Arrowhead!

    6:19 My man got baited destroying his own bomb. For context, patchnotes says you can detonate hellbomb by shooting if it's armed, but apparently this new feature doesn't work. Now I have to deal with my face being red cause I've never facepalmed so hard .

      If I recall correctly, ballistic shield already gets dropped during some ragdolls. And from picking up artillery shells, SSSD drives.

    I love how absurd 10 is but the one big issue I have is the lack of standard units. 10 just feels like they replaced every warrior with alphas which makes a lot of weapons utterly useless. Only weapons that are designed for medium units seem to excel. I was hoping the difficulty was gonna be hundreds of warriors, and hunters, supplemented with a few more medium and heavy units. But that's really not the case. I see more commanders than warriors or hoppers on 10.

    i'd LOVE to have the dark-matter backpack again, that thing was fun AF, it made the inadequacies of the mainline jump-pack all too apparent.
    Also, the "hellpods can't pass these invisible walls surrounding objectives so 95% of the time your landing is on-rails" while enemies can crawl out of the ground underneath the extraction shuttle or on that removed base-defence/survivor-extractor mission is a classic AH example of "rules for thee, but not for your enemies, they get to do EVERYTHING they want" BS.

      You can't hit it directly with the autocannon because it does impact damage first, then explosive.

    The Autocannon and AMR are the only viable support weapons left in the game. Even then, the AC is pretty exclusive to the bot front, while also requiring a backpack slot and the AMR is exclusively for the bot front.
    On the bug front, there isn't a single support weapon that can handle the new speed, armor, and aggression of the enemies and justify it's place in a load out over an Eagle or Orbital.
    Personally, I have found much more success running breaker incendiary with supply pack, stuns, and 3 strats because mobility is key and airial suppression of bug breaches is the only way to prevent being overwhelmed (and even then you need to be on point).
    Currently, I am running the orbital gatling, OPS, and cluster bombs and I'm willing to bet this load out will become the new meta (which means the supply pack will be nerfed next).
    It's become painfully clear that AH has no idea what they are doing with weapon balance and it has become indefensible. In their attempt to deversify the play styles of divers (in a PVE game which is insane to begin with) they went the nerf route without understanding why the upper tier players in the community were using certain weapons (hint: they were the ONLY viable ones).
    Instead of taking a long hard look at why most weapons are not viable on levels 9 and 10 (where most players are playing) they simply look at data metrics, nerf, and test things on level 6 (rofl).
    You can really tell how disconnected they are when you watch the dev team attempt to play their own game - so painful. They are spreadsheet balancing, everyone knows it, and it will kill their game.
    Don't even get me started with how they thought 2 super samples and 4 rare samples was a "huge reward" for taking out a mega nest... I'm a day one, level 150 helldiver who has been here through every update and it has gotten to the point where I don't expect a single thing from the warbonds and actively dread their new updates. Sad

      @@roar104 The problem with the auto cannon on the bug front is it is too ammo starved. It isn't viable on level 10 unless you are being carried by teammates. Supply pack is significantly better than Autocannon for bugs. Supply+Breaker Incendiary is the new Mets. Trust

AH doesnt care, and is gonna do what they want. literally doesnt matter what we say theyre gonna do what they want, and have proven that time and time again. The nade pistol “buff” is a joke and we shouldnt be like “at least we got this” thats such a bad way to look at it. Game has issues purely because the devs go out of their way to make the game straight up unfun. They know what theyre doing, its been months. they dont deserve anymore excuses. GG hd2, even if they fix it all they did this for no reason other then they wanted, knowing we would hate it. Im good.

      I've experience far worse for the sake of content. I do enjoy the challenge I just wish it wasn't so arbitrary. I like to have these video's as proof that I know what I'm talking about even if they don't reach the people that need convincing. it took me like an hour to beat this mission, I've spent far longer trying to beat other missions

The community is somewhat fragmented, with some people claiming even now that the game is boring because it is too easy please make harder and others complaining that it is impossible to win due to nerfs and all the weapons need a massive damage boost, like buff everything its all not good enough. So, as a developer, who do you listen to? Some people love stealth others want to shoot their way to victory. Which way do you balance? I think arrowhead is shooting themselves in the foot by trying to do both sides at once.

    3:25 This is because the reticle shows where the shot will hit in the world. It doesn't show the direction the bullet goes. In first person games where the shot origin is inside the camera, this is the same thing, but not in a 3rd person game. Some 3rd person games don't do this, but they might use autoconvergence (bullets come out of your barrel at an angle) to make shots hit where the reticle is. A 3rd person game might also not preview where the shot will hit in the world, and also not use autoconvergence. In that case you need to aim to the side of things to hit them. They could make a setting so players can opt in to that behavior.

    1:22 Exactly. I avoid combat as much as I can vs both factions. Prioritize the bugs and bots that can call breach/drop the best I can. Vs Bugs at least in any planet with light armor and popping stims, we can run away across the map if necessary to loose aggro and despawn an entire bug breach. Vs Bots is tricky because they have super mega long range and precision with blaster and rockets, specially when we are in "open" planets that have almost no cover to hide from the rain of rockets and BS of the bots. After every patch, AH is making the Eravin play style (stealth) the most effective and viable way to play the game. Unfortunately we all (i bet the majority) players want to fight hordes and kill a lot of bugs/bots, not keep running and running and hiding and crawling....

    I'm with you when you say you should be able to fight them if you're smart and not just run/disengage. Personally I've always wanted on all difficulties it to be possible to completely eliminate the enemy and stop them spawning *at all* if you fight smart. On the higher difficulties that absolutely *should* mean you have to play really smart and pick objectives carefully at the beginning and it should follow the basic phases of destroying their support, destroying their reinforcement mechanisms and then mopping up as the 'reward' at the end. I don't mind them calling in tons and tons of reinforcements for difficulty so long as it's possible to deal with them and possible to prevent more spawns once you've met whatever requirements they set.

    6:30 So what I think happens here. (I've run into this too) You broke the hellbomb yourself. It is just that shots do both direct and explosive damage. And if the direct damage kills the hellbomb it doesn't set it off. I haven't tried shooting the floor next to a hellbomb with an explosive but that might work.

    the problem being ragdolled and not being able to stand up and in the time you can stand up you can get killed
    my proposal? buff the sturdy talent to get you a quicker get up animation
    and make the missile droids explode when you fire at their rockets like with the missile walkers

    AH is the supreme example of a bad DM in what is otherwise a great game. "Yes, I know I let you do that for 4 months with your character..but I'm changing that now." Real bad dissociation between them and the players as well as what higher level play in the game is like. I guarantee if you let a few people in the community change some numbers on primary weapons they would have the entire game better balanced in 2 hours.

      It can get broken from damage, which doesn't make sense in lore but it seems as a intended mechanics. Happens in bugs too if it takes too much damage.

      I'm usually use heavy armor but wit the current state of ragdolls I don't see the point. 10% damage reduction won't cut it.

      @@OhDoughheavy armor with explosive resistance has let me survive some genuinely insane things in the past, especially if you have stun booster plus ammo backpack, your practically immortal. ( I end games with like 45 stims used)

    The biggest annoying is that it wasn’t game'a design. It is half of the community that still tried to defend developers' trash garbage choice of nerfing the weapons and making enemies annoyed to the point that it is no longer "fun" and telling us to "get good"
    No matter how many good points you had about Helldiver 2's downfall, they won't listen and laugh at your "skill issue." SMH...

    I like to infill at the extract point. Usually it's clear of enemies so you'll have time to drop your support items, and I like to drop a resupply so one is waiting for me when I return (typically, there are no grenades at extract points). I'll scan the map, assault what is immediately surrounding the extract point, then sweep the map clearing objectives and strongholds.

      Also, I don't ignore enemies that are swarming me. Either I engage them and thin their numbers, or "tactically retreat" until I can replenish and reapproach.

    The ragdoll is absolutely fucking busted. I was being chased by a hulk and 2 scout striders, the striders knocked me on my ass about 1m back with 1 rocket, and the second one missed me, hit straight in front of me and hit me with an ultra instinct straight back into the infested outpost. Couldn't move for like a minute and I wasn't even playing solo. It was actually traumatizing.

    I think at this point, the need to be able to rapidly jettison away from danger has made the jump pack more underappreciated than ever. Say you're pinned behind a tiny-ass rock with 5 devastators, 8 grunts, a hulk, 2 berserkers coming at you, and a factory strider in the distance. The jump pack lets you rapidly fly between cover points where you would've otherwise been stunlocked to death. I couldn't imagine just running from place to place anymore completely exposed. Further, if you use the light medic armor (though it's aggressively ugly), you can stim between flights and it has the highest rating of any light armor (though this doesn't reflect in the in-game menus). Autocannon alone simply cannot get you from point A to point B without getting stunlocked to death (*and* precludes you from carrying any kind of support backpack).

    My advice, Medium to Heavy armor (Fortified or Extra Padding) with any explosive primary and the railgun or auto cannon.

    honestly they need to either decrease the length of the stim animation or add a ship module that just gives us the ability to stim instantly when we press the key, it's so frustrating to be spamming the stim button but it never actually working because of being ragdolled

    I think Arrowhead hates UA-camrs playing hardest difficulty and saying "Easy".
    However I find playing with randoms is even worse and sadly all 4 HD2 discords I played on are empty.

    I can handle difficulty 10 with the Terminids since it's a faction whose gameplay is based on swarms, but with the Automatons, it's just too much. Their gameplay is supposed to force you to be more tactical, but at this difficulty level, it's useless if you're constantly bombarded by huge hordes firing rockets in every direction, making it impossible to move. There should be more high-level enemies appearing, not a constant barrage of rockets at all times. I can rarely finish a campaign at that difficulty, and most of the time, you simply can't clear the map or extract because so many enemies block the objective that 40 minutes isn't enough. Even before the update, I always thought that to enjoy this faction, it's better to play on difficulty 7 or 8, and with this update and the new enemies, I couldn't be more right.

    they did a poll in the discord 27% that like the update 33% that don't like it and 40% that just don't care (remember they kick/ban anyone that don't agree with the mods, and no not just being toxic stop this lie now) and yet some how muppets convened themselves 27% it a bigger number than 33%. The mental gymnastic people are doing have standers dropped this low.

    The worst part is, I've lived to see people defend ragdolling with "but it's funny" unironically, when I said it needed to be addressed as soon as I could. It's funny, maybe up to the 5th time in the first 2 hours. After that point, it's a complete removal of player agency and stuff like this is why I even wanna see buffs to stims
    (As in, buff the time it takes to kick from when your diver pulls the stim out to when the stim touches their neck and the moment the sound queue starts. And if somehow that's not enough, I don't care how goofy it sounds, allow a diver to be uninterruptible once they begin a stim.)
    Even then, I believe we need stuff like this because there's just far too much thrown at a diver when they lack control to fight it.

    I don't mind them making helldivers 2 feel more like helldivers 1 but at least give us the tools we had in hd1 like the distractor beacon and UAV drone. Bonus points if they can make the Armor look like hd1.

      hd1 had like 1/4 of the heavy spawn rates if that at all. the worst I have seen on diff 9 in HD1 was 3 chargers at once. in HD2 I have sen up to 5 spawn from the same bugbreach and patrols with 3+ normal and 1-2 special all converging on your location at once. 13+ chargers and 1-3 titans is not an uncommon sight in 9+.

    I love how the expendable anti tank can pass through a scavenger or between a bots legs....wtf
    and it doesn't actually explode, if you shoot a group of ticks hugging each other, it'll only kill one of them.

    How are you guys dealing with the new rocket striders (fortified scout striders with rockets)?
    Apart from using lasercannon and railgun, which I don't want to take at high difficulty anyways, I've been struggling to kill them with anything else. I know how to deal with them (crotch, legs, side rockets), but I just feel that I can't clean them fast enough when they come from the front, and that's the biggest challenge I've been having with this update. I generally fight them with the autocannon, trying to hit the legs or the crotch, but as it shows in the video, autocannon's shitty autoaim (PC) aims between the legs or the frontplate, so I find myself missing too many shots, and you can't afford that in helldive... It's super frustrating. Also, exploding the rockets is nice, but I rarely have the side angle (and shooting them from the front is kinda bugged), and manytimes from a distance you can't tell if it has the rocket or just the used guide... Help.

    When this game came out I said it had a shelf life of about 3 months. Primarily because the balance philosophy is counter intuitive, the game is about as complex as a kiddy pool and it has to remain that way to sell more warbonds. The game resist any features that would allow it to safely introduce different playstyles without breaking the difficulty by insisting that the game is essentially 1v200 call of duty lobby in space.
