If there is a plan on adding stuff like what we had in Helldivers 1, I can understand the lack luster state of most guns/stratagems. HD2 is not even in it's final form, I for one hold out on some critical feedback. If what we have now is all there is, then the hate is fair, but if they plan on upgrades that make stuff more powerful then it's understandable.
Which is not a good sign no matter from which angle you look at it. 1- He lies about agreeing with community in public and does the opposite on our backs; 2 - He agrees with the community but he doesn't really have any control over the development team and everyone does as they please; We have these options. Both are bad
@PrimeRicci We cant be super pessimistic, but we also cant forget that this isnt the first time weve heard similar sentiment from the devs before big nerfs. It shows a fundamental lack of understanding in the state of the game and its enemies.

Yeah, don't care about the talks anymore in the slightest He can promise anything just to "damage control". F these devs. They should stop yapping already, stop these Q&A and start working ffs
He has been saying that he's listening for a while. First few times it worked, but there is only so many times you can repeat same bs before everyone catches up on it
It could one shot chargers. The nerf has made it too weak against small/medium enemies, but that is simply not something a primary is supposed to do. Their solution wasnt great, but I fully agree they couldnt leave it in that state.
@2MeterLP That was a bug. Just like railgun two shotting bile titans was a bug and they still nerfed those weapons into the ground instead of fixing the actual problem.
@@2MeterLP Key word there is "could." It was rather hard to pull off and doing it consistently was almost impossible. You were better off just shooting the caboose 2-3 times and going about your day. It has also been stated many times that its ability to do so was a bug... you know just like the railgun and arc thrower doing absurd damage to heavies? The amount of willing ignorance in the "we shouldn't have OP weapons crowd" is astounding.
To be fair, they did release one good buff patch after he joined the force and held some workshops. It just snapped back to nerf stick after that, and the technical debt wasn't helping at all, probably why it took 8 years in the first place.
@@RepublicofODLUMthey needed fire damage before release a fire theme warbond bro….it’s the principle of the action….that’s like they release a new warbond with 2 new jet back stratagems and then nerf the cooldown of the jet back and how high it goes…it’s literally a spit in the face to players. ur jus another meat rider who can’t understand how poorly this game is being managed and balanced considering its a PVE hoard shooter.

The state of solo play in this game feels so dependent on what unlucky random enemy generation you get. if you get unlucky and get swarms of hunters or god forbid extra chargers, the solo experience becomes absolutely frustrating. All it takes is adding an extra part of mission briefing that tells you ahead of time for instance that there will be bile terminids here, or pouncers and tons of hunters, or jetpack bots, etc. it will help you make more informed choices on your build that mission.
I wish they wouldn’t tie enemy type spawns to map seeds. Instead get distribution of enemy type spawns equally (spewers and give guards guarding big holes, hunters acting as patrols, warriors being the backbone of the terminid fodder, etc). They’ve got enemy diversity down but I drop in with a sickle and EATs, then get swarmed by bile spewers with medium armor on them and I’m not packing medium pen and I didn’t want to bring a blitzer because I want more range in my primary.
You'd already be shooting yourself in the foot playing solo, but it's a lot to ask them to make balance changes that work while also giving solo players enough kit to ignore the forced teamplay. Even if they make some type of generation summary per mission, it's just gonna surface some kind of "mission spawn meta" for optimal farming, etc, and players will probably manage to wrap back around to thinking it's too restricting..
@@ghostlygeralt1996Except cracked up people can still solo even dif 10. This isn't a matter of cartering to solo players, it's about not going out of your way to discourage it. If you're good enough, you will manage. Just don't balance to go in a way of "good but not great" players
Hell yeah dude. I’m always maxxed on samples, but I’m even more maxxed on req slips. Another huge change I would love to see would be making the mutated egg give you 10 super credits. I would actually want to get it then.

Super credits have no cap, buy warbonds and random armours from the store so they're a good loot drop. But req slips? Fuck them lol
Strongest hd2 weapon: can maybe kill a single tank, with very long reload time and requires a backpack Weakest hd1 weapon: Easily destroys hordes of chargers, fully reloadable without a backpack and can get ammo from supplies
Not only that but TikTok edits and Yt Shorts made this game appear way better then it turned out to be. it was a trend on TikTok for like a month and a half that’s why it got those 420k players now it at less then 10% of that….not even a year later game came out in feb so 6 months later the game is already almost dead

problem with Johan and the CEO is...they agree with community but barely take action to change based on feedback. just because 1 time they make 1 good big update on weapon balance but doesnt meant we are forgetting about the rest that are bad (3 or 4 times at least)
Yet it wasn't even THAT good, plus they nerfed a bunch of weapons and stratagems with that same "good" patch, so even their best attempt is mudded by their constant drive to nerf the player.
@@hawk9mm yeah even there is good patch there are still some nerfs but u can't deny that good patch did make u switch alot of build for testing....but those nerf patches just make you dont want to test any build or play further by any mean...what is the point of playing if they gonna keep nerfing the "most used" weapons anyway?
There needs to be a way to know ahead of time, what types of bug enemies will be in the map before dropping in. There’s times when I’ve wanted to use my flame load out, and this has been suicidal against the endless waves of bile spewers.
NOT SURE IF THIS FEATURE WILL GIVE US THE ABILITY BUT MOST LIKELY WILL! Your sample container by the belt has a PDA next to it, that is your intel pda where you can extract information from it and risk at times during missions which helps you in the campaign you're in
I know this only works for higher difficulties with multiple missions per operation, but I kind of like that part of the first mission is always gathering intel about what enemies are in the area.
Isn't the whole point of the game that you get down there -not knowing what to expect' so players are required to actually cooperate? If two people take identical load outs, shouldn't they reconsider that maybe, just maybe one of them should switch it up and take something that can deal with bile spewers in case they spawn? And then its that persons job to deal with bile spewers while the rest of the group deals with other threats? At least that sort of gameplay is why I personally bought the game. In my recent run with a buddy I took an autocannon which, well arguably isnt 'the best' weapon for bugs. But would you imagine, we had a lot of bile spewers and my buddy was so glad I was able to take them out quite reliably from a distance before they even became a problem.
@@siriusgreyhound your idea just makes it so much worse for the player who is taking the bile spewer loadout if there are none. ALso, rn, autocannon is one of the better support weapons for bugs

He loves this game. The problem is the devs over at AH and sometimes the community are the ones that created the problem and he's wondering wth is happening now.
It’s hard not to believe this game was sabotaged. At launch it broke the gaming industry gravy train formula for live service micro transactions while not costing $70 and only for $40. I can’t shake the feeling who was balancing the game on the inside made sure this game sank like a rock for breaking the industry income curve.
Yes, I think the same thing. It was done so it could pave the way to Space Marines 2. Now that HD devs put their entire player base on a platter for SM2, hopefully, SM2 don't fuck up like AH did.
Alexus put his all into sinking it. Same as Hello Neighbor 2. Arrowhead let a snake into the hen house, then refused to fire him. They can't be failing by accident. You would at least succeed sometimes if your goal was to succeed.
@selectionn your thought process is cancer. They hate gamers and their products, they work making products gamers use, yet they wouldnt actively sabotoge said gamers for what? Reasons? OP is right. Their dev teams and mods hate games and gamers and now they're crashing the thing they hate, simple as that. Wake up or go home.
They have no trust. Show the positive changes. We shouldn't be here in this place of repeating promises over a quarter after he became CCO. There is a patch every month. Why multiple 'bad' patches since the change? We shouldn't see patches that he himself expresses disagreement with. When he does that he is either throwing his own team under a bus in a rather terrible way for the good of the studio and the game, or he is lying to the community.
PIles made a comment once where it was that he would only more aggressively monetize the game to pay for his warhammer hobby. He's the JK Rowling of videogames. Set for life but too much of a self aggrandizing ass to let go and let be. He has to meddle. He has the power to tell the devs how it's going to be and he doesn't.
People are excited about weapons upgrade systems, rightfully, but I am concerned that they will pull bullshit. What I mean is that they might drop ALL guns to have incredibly low stats when that launches, and then the maxed out upgrade is just the guns we're using right now, not stronger variations of current guns. I have seen it happen in Destiny on multiple occasions, so I wouldn't be shocked. Especially with how much the AH devs hate their players.
@@Prime_content That's cute, you act like they work the weekends or have any sort of crunch time at all, look at the percentage of work they've done compared to their vacation time. Hell they get more time off than I do!
it's frustrating that the entire studio just changes directions immediately as soon as the leadership changes temporarily. look how much damage did that do.
For the auto reload idea, its pretty simple just make it count one extra mag/rocket if your mag is empty so you just need to reload but you get the normal amount of ammo.
Agreed. When your design calls for tradeoffs you must always err on the side of the player, even if that means a temporary boon. This is a design rule that goes all the way back to old 8bit platformers and their "coyote time".
The most frustrating part is they hear us, acknowledge and agree with our opinions. Then do the total opposite and rinse and repeat. We are tired of it. As soon as they get our hopes up they stomp us into the ground like a bile titan. Considering how the enemies are now why don’t they just give us the old weapons values like launch because our arsenal is underpowered, our equipment just can’t keep up with the current system.
You can barely even kill a charger form the back with the flamer since the hotfix - only the very tip of the tail takes damage now, the large unarmored butt section is just a ghost zone.
It kind of seems like that was the original intent, but they ran out of time so they just used the weapon mod/attachment art assets they had to make variants. Given how variants usually have non-functional cosmetic features like different foregrips and stocks and whatnot.
21:26 This part is funny to me. Piles doesn't even realize that (all other things being as they are now) his idea would actually make the game significantly easier in the vast majority of cases, because it would basically automatically disengage you from the fight and despawn all the enemies involved (If the distance is significant enough). It would save you way more time than the minute spent walking back.
I appreciate Pilestedt and Shams apparently being the only people in the entire company that's willing to have a frank and civil discussion about issues, but honestly the cultish adherence to realism is a joke. The entire bot front is made up of nothing but magic bullets, you have the entire fiasco about realistic fire being elastic PNGs, and an almost autistic adherence to arbitrary rules. Ultimately, realism is just one tool in order to craft an authentic experience, and there's nothing authentic about weapons being nerfed for the sake of ""realism""" while a handful of rocket devastators shoot more rockets at you than your gun has bullets. Not to mention it's a stupid discussion in the first place when you look at literally any rocket sentry or mech and ask yourself where all the rockets are supposed to fit. There's also the fact that some questions asked were just stupid questions. Penalizing a group of people for a team wipe is just hostile when the team *already* got wiped. You wanna complain about teamkilling chaos divers? Forcing an arbitrary punishment system will just increase the toxicity in the game for absolutely no reason.
After what Pilestet said on discord ("we have cool things to show you but we can't because of stability issues and controversies"), I'm not launching that game again.
"It's your fault we're dealing with balance and stability controversy, so we can't work on other things!" ... who broke the balance and the stability? Then why blame the players? This studio used to be good. Don't know what happened, aside from hiring Kravchenko.
If Skyrim can do all the stuff it does from modders, it's ridiculous that their albeit discontinued engine can't handle more than 4 vehicles on the map. It's just lazy.
So let's talk about mechs for a moment. I am leery of any ability to customize or rearm mechs as it will probably give AH an excuse to maintain this only one vehicle stratagem non-sense. I am a driver-diver from HD1 where I could bring 4 different mech strats or 3 and a tank or APC etc. The entire idea behind the mechs is that they are mass produced line breakers. You drop one in and use it to push through an enemy horde until you run out of ammo. Meanwhile your team gets shit done. Imagine, if you will, that they implement a vehicle re-arm bay stratagem and a player decides to bring it and a mech on a mission taking up two of their 4 strats. Said player gets in mission and calls in their mech only for the drop ship to either shoot the mech attempting to attack enemies as it flies in or drops said mech off on top of the one rock in the entire fucking clearing making it impossible to get in your mech. Congrats, for the next 10 minutes you are down two strats for nothing. (The drop ship does the rock thing often enough that I honestly think it's on purpose at this point.) I would much rather them give us more mech variants and give us back the ability to bring multiple mechs per mission. AH stated that being able to bring two was a "bug" (even though you could bring up to 4 in HD1?) and stated that they fixed it (rather faster than they fixed any other bugs) because it made missions "unstable." This is a wagonful of horseshit. They nerfed it because the "balance" team felt two mechs on 10min cooldowns was OP. My squad would consistently bring 2 mechs each and roleplay a Battletech lance. These were the most stable missions we ever ran. Do keep in mind, AH stated this bullshit reason shortly after then finally fixed the whole calling in too many support strats causing everyone to disconnect if they tried to call one more in because they hard coded a limit. This meant that missions where multiple people brought EAT-17s were pretty much certain for everyone to be kicked at exfil... WHICH WAS A GREAT FEELING. PS: 8 mechs, if everyone brings 2, makes the game unstable? Fucking really? AH you have doubled mob spawns twice over and you seriously think we'll believe that eight whole fucking mechs make the game unstable? This is seriously my biggest problem with HD2 and AH, the "reasons" that they give for the shit that they pull are so stupid a toddler wouldn't believe them. If AH is willing to keep releasing base mech chassis AND give us the ability to bring multiple mechs/vehicles per mission, then I would be all for them giving us mech customization. As mech currently are though, tricking out a mech with customization is pointless because their armor is aluminium foil... So unless AH is willing to give mechs heavy armor like a hulk to prevent chargers from brushing by a mech and destroying it there is not much point to customizing a paper weight with guns.
I’ve called down mechs and had them land well outside the usual area just to drop directly onto the only rock within 10 fucking miles of me. I’ve had this multiple times in one mission. I agree that it’s far too common at this point to just be coincidence. Another weird thing I noticed is that carrying the larva on your back and entering a mech destroys it but not immediately. A couple minutes later though? Toast. No reason it just dies.
Also robots. And laser/plasma weaponry. And magic stimpacks that heal broken bones, bullet wounds and torn flesh in 1 go. Wonder when will they add tarkov-style surgery kits that you use for 3 minutes each time.
pileshit's words mean literally nothing, im convinced he doesnt actually work at arrowhead anymore, because nothing he has ever said has happened in the game.
Other games apply damage values to weapons and then transfer that damage directly to enemies hit by weapon's projectiles. Arrowhead: let's link damage directly to projectile speed and apply physics to all projectiles BECAUSE BUGS WITH PHYSICS HAPPEN SO RARELY IN GAMES.
11:00 In HD1 there was a support weapon that let you heal fellow helldivers as well as repair emplacements, turrets and vehicles. I'd be stoked to see it return in HD2 for support-style players.
Chaosdivers are not TK'ers - the ones doing that under the name of them are called Doomdivers. Chaosdivers in itself only hate the High Command and don't follow the Major Orders, whilst having their own Orders from their leadership.
literally just boomer bile from left for dead more proof that there are no more original ideas to be made in the world, if you believe in that philosophy
This one is already built into the game, via you going prone into a brush of foliage. It grants an increased stealth stat, amplified by your status, prone giving the best. You can lose bile titans this way too, at least you used to be able to, haven't played in a while.
Because he was on vacation. People shouldn't work in their off time. The real question is who greenlit the change in his absence, because they should be in trouble.
In the end they will come around I'm sure. Even the most hardened mill sim supporter can tell its mess or arcade amd sim and will iron it out. For now though I'm going to stick with earth defense force 6
One free reload 10s duration after picking an ammo box solves the problem they have. It is very much realistic that you would pick up that extra mag/clip/rocket from the ammo box to reload your empty gun instead of leaving it on the ground like our duncedivers are doing now.
This is just false promises. Dude is just wanting to catch flak for the devs that pushed horrible ideas and concepts while not giving punishment to them. Unless they fundamentally change the way they are steering this ship, it isnt going to change. They want mil sim. They released this game thinking it WAS a mil sim. Because they suck at the game. Hate that the world sees it as a horde shooter with neat weapons. They hate our perspective, they want the game to come back to what they want it to be, not what its been perceived and bought as. Im a retired diver until things get reformatted in them.
20:58 this is actually one of the things i prefer in HD1: there is no auto-reinforce, so you have to be ready to punch in a reinforcement for your team if you get wiped (and there's even an achievement for reinforcing a full squad + yourself at the same time by dropping / throwing the reinforce as you die). this made dying mean something, especially since there was no reinforce limit in HD1, just a timer for each player.
I guess I'll put the same comments I had here: "Q. What do you think of this idea? Auto reload on picking up ammo from resupplies? I have to manually reload ammo on my spear/anti tank or primary before picking up supplies to not waste ammo. It filling up my mag would be so cool! [Weapons/Balance] A. We want to keep it grounded. I.e. no magical bullet transferral" This answer is incredibly frustrating. It's not "grounded" that one of my Spear rockets magically vanishes either, so I still need to take 2 ammo boxes with a reload in between to fully reload even with SPM. If both options involve magically moving ammo why not take the one which is less annoying? "Q. What about all weapons instantly loosing 1 damage when the shot leaves the barrel unless you are moving forward? [Weapons/Bugs] A. Yeah, we should round up instead of just round the damage. It's based on the velocity of the projectile. The heavier the projectile the less damage falloff. I think we need weapon upgrades and customization to be able to tailor playstyke for advanced divers" Bear in mind is really won't fix the most glaring problem with this: AT weapons vs Behemoth legs, you'll just need to start moving forward while firing outside of 5m instead of all the time so things become even less consistent. Rounding up is fine, but on top of that warhead weapons should not have dropoff and behemoth front legs need their HP lowered to 600. Their legs have to be one-shotable with AT, since if you have to use 2 rockets you might as well kill them with 2 to the head.
Lots of wonderful ideas that CCO seems to agree with, but I have very little confidence in AH managing to implement them competently. When every addition or even slight modification causes something in the code to break elsewhere (that AH does not notice before patch going live), they will be constantly playing catch-up to even keep the game functioning after new additions. That "test server" is something they absolutely need.
I think him thinking the old eruptor was “too much” shows things aren’t going to change. It wasn’t too much, it was good but required horde clear stratagems to be effective
Lizardmen are a faction in Warhammer Fantasy/Age of Sigmar, 2kpts being a fairly sizable army of anywhere from 90-250 or so individual models depending on the army's point cost values.
I'll always say it. We PAYED for a power fantasy hoard shooter. The devs WANT an insantely hard disposable troop simulator. It's like ordering a steak, and getting a burger instead. Same ingredients, but it isnt what you f*cking ordered. It's like the tony stark quote. "i have nothing for you. No trust. Liar.". It's how we're all feeling when AH speaks.

What's got me messed up is the fact that in the beginning, with the "bugs" in the game, it WAS a disposable troop simulator, AND a fantasy horde shooter! It's what I friggin LOVED about the game in the first place! How the HELLDIVERS are in their own cult-like world of a power fantasy, meanwhile, the REALITY, is that they're disposable troops. They didn't need to fuck up their entire game to sell us realism. the realism was kinda already there. The realism of DYING in only a matter of a few hits, but having the firepower to, maybe, fight back.
@@rmhj01 I don't cling to one single loadout, I use multiple to keep the game interesting. The HD2 community has a problem that they only one trick weapons and stratagems that youtubers call S tier then cry when those weapons get nerfed.

To the teamwork question around 6:21 and Pilestedt saying the game makes players want to stick together: It really doesn't, it actually makes more sense to split up, with all the many objectives/POIs/Sample hunting vs the arbitrary time limit, and stealth being easier on your own, the game actually encourages players to split up, to more efficiently use the limited time and stealth, to cover more map faster. While a big firefight is the only reason its helpful to have your allies around for a unified wall of fire, those are mostly avoided in the game presently, leaving the biggest firefight as just the time beginning after the last main objective is completed through to extraction, when everyone regroups typically anyway.
For the people saying that Johan agrees with the community, are you that stupid? Of course he agrees people pay him money to keep saying good things, HE HAS DONE NOTHING.
22:30 1. The Resupply is obviously designed to be for the team, because we are supposed to work as a team? its 4 humans versus hundreds of thousands of aliens. 2. For the rangers who wanna go off on their own, supply pack is ready for you. Yes you lose a stratagem slot but you can go and save time easier. I still would like more mags for certain guns but like, this resupply hate thing is just whining
It’s kinda funny to me that they say „oh no we’re disappointed” or „we’re so stressed because of the negativity” but all know why the negativity is there. Make positive changes to the game and you’ll get positivity. AH should just take what they did with the precision strike in the big buff update and apply it to more weapons and stratagems.
Can't wait for the next "We agrees with the community" post by Pilestedt in late December when the balance team inevitable goes back to their old mentality again.
Definitely disagree with Piles on the "magical bullet transference". If my support weapon and its backpack (where applicable) are completely dry, and I spent my resources on a ship module that says it resupplies max support weapon ammo, my backpack and my gun should be refilled. "Like it says on the box" to put his own words in there.
I'm seeing a lot of comments that are continuing to be skeptic and overall negative even about all this news. I for one and happy to hear all this, and while the nerfs have sucked and been shit, I've tried to remain positive, knowing that likely once the Summer is over and everyone's back to developing the game, good changes are probably going to come. This post just almost confirms that things will be getting better, and I'm excited.
Surely like the past three times they've said the same lol That is why people are sceptical about it. This isn't the first or even second time we've had a statement like this.
True, I understand that, when we were originally getting nothing but nerfs, Johan wasn't around, being CEO. He stepped down to solve the issues directly and did so some extent. Then summer hit, Johan took the time off, leaving those who see nerfs as a viable first option in charge. Now Johan is back, and addressing most of the issues. While I am hopeful that things will get better, I am not expecting sweeping changes that will drastically make the game better, like some big community patch full of buffs. I'm betting that the team's gonna make a bunch of small, steady nerfs as the months come and go, and hopefully with enough of those, the game will feel much better than it does now. It doesn't take one step to walk a mile, it takes a lot afterall.
My suggestion for the rail gun is, even tho it’s damage was glitched and unintentional, bring it back. Reduce its ammo capacity to 5 round. Why? This is why; give it the ability to 2 or 3 shot a titan in the face. 2 shot all tanks in their turrets. 1 shot hulks, chargers, spore chargers. 2 shot behemoth chargers. 1 shot gunships. 1 shot everything else. I think this will put the railgun in its intended role. A hard hitting weapon. HOWEVER, maybe have two versions of the railgun? Like how theirs two machine guns. Give us a light railgun, like we have now and add in a heavy railgun…or rail “cannon” if one will with the intended features I suggested.
13:44 I highly disagree, maybe if the game wasn't a slogfest grind AND we didn't have caps on our resources, those services wouldn't exist, people stop playing because then there's no incentive to do so aside from getting Super Credits and its never guaranteed to get them on any given mission. Remove the resource cap or make it so high that we'd be able to get everything when we put that work in, cause since launch those resources having a cap is bullshit, I'd rather not waste my time.
A very important thing Chaosdivers are not the ones team killing we are sticking to roleplaying and ignoring major orders thats it. We do not condone any toxic behavior and sabotage of other's games. The one team killing are toxic players who have been team killing long before we existed, and have just co-opted the name to "justify" their behavior. If you see any of the "chaosdivers" please report them. (Message was made by cjthenarwhalking, but it encapsulates the message better then i could)
Talk, nerf, apologize. Talk, nerf, apologize. Talk, nerf, apologize. Who gives a f*** what this dude (Pilestedt) has to say???? Why are you guys still talking to them? Stop playing their game... literally. Stop playing HD2. It's the only language they understand...no...it's the only language they'll ACT on. They've explicitly said this.
they have lost over 90% of their playerbase and continued with the nerfs. I dont think they care about losing players and if they do, they sure as shit dont do a good job at showing it.
I hope your ass gets fired from your miserable 9-5 and then your boss says “you being unemployed is the ONLY way for you to learn what us corporate figures really want” 🤣
@TheCosmicAstro- That 90% was always going to leave. If the 60-80k that appears to be this game's core was to drop to, let's say, 20k relatively quickly, Arrowhead would be fighting for this games life. Giving in to most of what you all been asking for. STOP PLAYING THE GAME.
@MrKickdoh while a good chunk always would have. The amount of loss helldivers has had is unprecedented. No healthy or even moderately healthy game that you could call "successful" has this terrible player retention. ESPECIALLY live service games. Yeah definitely taking a long break from HD2. His speech and follow up updates are reinforcing what he said in his speech. The released game is what I love or even getting close to it would be nice a bit not where it’s currently at.
For the Localization Confusion booster that change would be good for the Solo players, they could make it work off a percentage system which is determined by how many people you have in the squad, so like 50% if it's just one person, 40% for 2, 30% for 3, 20% for a full squad. Same could apply to the Expert Extraction Pilot booster rather than it just knocking 10 seconds off the countdown at extraction, actually give the thing some use.
It doesn't matter they are only going to listen to all the "elites" or their chosen focus group and cater the game around what they want. The people asking for higher difficulties need to shut up and stop using meta weapons

Holy shit, I just realized that I haven’t seen jetpack robots in this update at all..

Arrowhead needs to humble themselves
He says all the right things, but actions speak louder than words, and we have been waiting a long time for these things.
You can barely even kill a charger form the back with the flamer since the hotfix - only the very tip of the tail takes damage now, the large unarmored butt section is just a ghost zone.
I always wanted AH to remove all weapon variants and just make them upgrades. I like the idea of using REC to upgrade weapons.
That’s how it was in the first game. For the most part.

(The drop ship does the rock thing often enough that I honestly think it's on purpose at this point.)
I would much rather them give us more mech variants and give us back the ability to bring multiple mechs per mission.
No magic bullets reloading into your gun because it isn't realistic...
Yet you fight giant bugs....
This is the hill they want ti die on.

In the end they will come around I'm sure. Even the most hardened mill sim supporter can tell its mess or arcade amd sim and will iron it out. For now though I'm going to stick with earth defense force 6
Because this is his first vacation in 8 years and wanted to touch grass and hang out with his family?
Im a retired diver until things get reformatted in them.

this is actually one of the things i prefer in HD1: there is no auto-reinforce, so you have to be ready to punch in a reinforcement for your team if you get wiped (and there's even an achievement for reinforcing a full squad + yourself at the same time by dropping / throwing the reinforce as you die). this made dying mean something, especially since there was no reinforce limit in HD1, just a timer for each player.
I guess I'll put the same comments I had here:
"Q. What do you think of this idea? Auto reload on picking up ammo from resupplies? I have to manually reload ammo on my spear/anti tank or primary before picking up supplies to not waste ammo. It filling up my mag would be so cool! [Weapons/Balance]
A. We want to keep it grounded. I.e. no magical bullet transferral"
This answer is incredibly frustrating.
[Weapons/Bugs]
A. Yeah, we should round up instead of just round the damage. It's based on the velocity of the projectile. The heavier the projectile the less damage falloff. I think we need weapon upgrades and customization to be able to tailor playstyke for advanced divers"
Bear in mind is really won't fix the most glaring problem with this: AT weapons vs Behemoth legs, you'll just need to start moving forward while firing outside of 5m instead of all the time so things become even less consistent. Rounding up is fine, but on top of that warhead weapons should not have dropoff and behemoth front legs need their HP lowered to 600. Their legs have to be one-shotable with AT, since if you have to use 2 rockets you might as well kill them with 2 to the head.
BTW, incendiary breaker still too reliable at killing terminid chaff, we're reducing the ammo per mag by 1/2
Piles is all talk lmao
Crazy to me that misaligned scopes are still a thing in-game. Would have expected it to be fixed within atleast one month.
Spear and DOT : "first time?"
Pretty sure it’s just the scope is over the barrel with the bullet not coming from the scope like most games
*"Old CEO Has a F**king Brain Tumor"*
Lots of wonderful ideas that CCO seems to agree with, but I have very little confidence in AH managing to implement them competently. When every addition or even slight modification causes something in the code to break elsewhere (that AH does not notice before patch going live), they will be constantly playing catch-up to even keep the game functioning after new additions. That "test server" is something they absolutely need.
But of course its limited to dick riders. So they wont get actual feedback.
Just ack ack ack arrowhead so good ack ack ack Alexus is good ack ack
I think him thinking the old eruptor was “too much” shows things aren’t going to change. It wasn’t too much, it was good but required horde clear stratagems to be effective
Dude what
You pointed it at the ground and theres your horde clear strategem 😂
It's still a horde shooter, ya'll just like to complain that your primary weapons don't 1 shot a bile titan or kill a charger in 3 seconds... 🤷🏻♂️
@@keiltiWe're complaining that each meta is held together by chewed gum and scotch tape. Have fun clinging on to your favorite load out for dear life and taking advantage of cheese tactics to win the game buddy 🤷♂️
@@keiltiFunny. None of the primaries ever killed a Bile Titan.
@@rmhj01 I don't cling to one single loadout, I use multiple to keep the game interesting.
The HD2 community has a problem that they only one trick weapons and stratagems that youtubers call S tier then cry when those weapons get nerfed.
Honestly if they removed the Limited Reinforcements, The game would be better. Do It like HD 1, long as 1 person is alive and they got the Ball in their hand, even if they die the whole group comes back down.
"No magical bullet transferal"? then what's the Rocket Devs doing?
Req slips for consumable buffs is a great idea because they are always the fastest to cap out and the most consistent resource
I dont want a shower on the ship, i want a car wash that we go through
To the teamwork question around 6:21 and Pilestedt saying the game makes players want to stick together: It really doesn't, it actually makes more sense to split up, with all the many objectives/POIs/Sample hunting vs the arbitrary time limit, and stealth being easier on your own, the game actually encourages players to split up, to more efficiently use the limited time and stealth, to cover more map faster. While a big firefight is the only reason its helpful to have your allies around for a unified wall of fire, those are mostly avoided in the game presently, leaving the biggest firefight as just the time beginning after the last main objective is completed through to extraction, when everyone regroups typically anyway.
Why is everyone in this comment section forgetting that he was literally on vacation. Mf had 0 input on any of the balancing decisions made
One annoying thing is not being able to see where friends dropped a resupply on the minimap
For the people saying that Johan agrees with the community, are you that stupid?
Of course he agrees people pay him money to keep saying good things, HE HAS DONE NOTHING.
With their track record, I'll believe it when I see it.
22:30
Pilestedt is just the translation for bullshit in muppet show chef.
Bork
Surely like the past three times they've said the same lol
That is why people are sceptical about it.
Old CEO is all talk, the last 5 months have proved that. I'm open to be surprised by good changes, but I'm not holding my breath
My face when all the lobbys ive joined with people who teamkill and kick me on extract are playing the game as intended in the lead devs eyes
:)
7:44 She definitely should be named Steeve, add the option to name the Super Destroyer 'Space Rig', and a new slogan "FOR ROCK AND STONE!".
Jarva jar-larva Jarvis Is a male name
well since so much players already gone back to drg, why even bother. Arrowhead missed on crossover with ghostship, thath would be epic...
(Message was made by cjthenarwhalking, but it encapsulates the message better then i could)
please shut up with your larping.
Chaosdivers actively have a strict rule against teamkilling and ban anyone from the community who griefs
Look at destiny, monster hunter world, dead by daylight, etc.
None of these games lose these percentages like this.
And most of them overall actually go up or somewhat go up(dead by daylight/destiny).
And yeah I'm not saying to not stop playing the game.
I'm just saying they obviously don't care
@TheCosmicAstro- You could be right. Who knows. While Sony may not own Arrowhead, they do own the Helldivers IP. Maybe nothing happens until someone at Sony steps in...wouldn't that be ironic.
mech rearms are actually most likely a terrible idea, its putting all your eggs in one basket. if you can maintain your mech the entire mission, then it will be too op (bad outcome)
if youre mechs get destroyed by some bullshit, then you have fucked 2 of your stratagems. (bad outcome)
its a lose lose situation. I really dont know if people have thought this through, and dont get me wrong, i love mechs. i main them.
larva in a jar is always going to be Pickle to me

He's basically in charge he agrees with us but yet he allows these things to continue to happen. I can't really get behind that. When they hopefully balance things and fix it I might come back
Find the only person that thinks they have to get rid of the superior packing so can actually take something else and not with half of their magazines and half of their grenades?
You mean hellpod space optimalization
I still think it should be a ship module upgrade and not a booster.
Thank you. Finally someone said it, the one booster that makes no sense. You have a budget of millions and cant even optimise the hellpod is just dumb
@@akiramurakami3177 Everyone has been saying it from the very beginning, honestly the other half are asking why we pack half of our combat load in the first place, it's not "realistic" at all. It should be removed or completely changed and we just drop with full everything.
We hear you, we understand your concerns, we make mistakes, changes and content are on the way, soon as I get done with this untruthful excuse let's get back to nerfing.
I think Piles is out here catching strays for Alexus, man just got back from his government mandated vacation (Swedish law) and is just non-stop getting assaulted 😢
the community is just brainless. same people that begged for everything to get nerfed are now saying the game is terrible and will never recover.
@@OhDough yeah, I agree. I hate to say it, but they need to give the man some time to work, he had just stepped down from ceo, did one update, and had to go on vacation from my understanding, and in that time, my boy Alexus brought us stinker after stinker. We'll see if anything changes, I'm still waiting for action, but he did a little before he left. We'll see how much he's got in him LOL
I'm surprised nobody asked for a escort Pelican Gunship (not talking about the exploit) or have it patrol a certain area for some time like COD.
Nah. Neat words. I don't believe anything they say. Nothing will improve.
Pilestedt appears to have absolutely no control over the developers. They seem to be ignoring his design document(s). Trust thermocline may be in sight, but it could be out of reach.
Who’s going to care when nobody is here to play it. 51 days but SM2 comes out on September 9th. Its over. Bye bye NoDivers 2.
9:55 theres a simple solution for that.... give us an extra mag for every resupply. so something that has 7 mags total would get 8.
I don't care what he says. Until they go five patches of all Helldivers buffs, I don't believe it.
Yeah definitely taking a long break from HD2. His speech and follow up updates are reinforcing what he said in his speech. The released game is what I love or even getting close to it would be nice a bit not where it’s currently at.
Hey
Hej
HEY!

Hola
11:41 PLEASE a radio backpack that calls in a pelican to hover around for a bit before it recharges like a shield that would be so cool. I miss running with non-weapon stratagems like i did in the first game
I really really hope they do weapon upgrade systrm at least as solid as Hell divers 1. As well design it better but, my hopes are not high for that.
Please defensive walls stratagems to make chokepoints too, that has enough HPs to be useful
Something I noticed with the arc blitzer is if you’re shooting at a medium range, your shot will hit you and you just damage yourself. And with the laser guard dog is it literally just flew away and worked on its own
Tbh, I do not really care much about balance until the technical issues are sorted. I don't get this hate for the balance. Could it be better? Yes. Do I care when the game crashes all the time? No.
Honestly, it has become a case of the boy who cried wolf. Multiple times now its all "We agree!" or "We hear you!" and then they just go and do whatever they were going to do anyway.
I can’t wait for Space Marine 2
