This little guy has 4.2 stars out of 5 on Amazon. It’s a great selling and has a very high customer satisfaction. But can an action camera that is so cheap really shoot good 4k video? Does it really perform as well as a GoPro or a Yi action camera? The Akaso EK7000 really tries but it may fall a little short.

Yes. Exactly. It’s almost a gateway to a better camera. If it never gets used because sucks then It will gather dust. For 70 bucks - whatever. But has already proven to come in handy just to have around.

Sounds like you were going to hate on this no matter what. I bought the Hero 5 Black for £350 quid when it first came out and sent it back, utter trash. I got this for £60 on Amazon ... Is it a GoPro? No .. but it's 60 quid.
I felt like he was comparing a $400 gopro with a $60 camera.

Question. Will this make everything seem far away and slow. I need a different camera. Because I got a dashcam but it makes it seem liks cars are miles away when they're almost hitting me. And like im going way slower then I am. And my dash cam has 170 view. So will this do that to. Since it also has 170 view
Dude it’s $60 haha I bought it and it works great! 12k purchases with 4.5 out of 5 thumbs up for this is thumbs down for go pro
I think you came at this review pretending it to be an expensive camera instead of being only $60. For an extremely inexpensive camera it does very well.

Ok. Dumb question... how do you get it out of the waterproof box? I assume the lens unscrew? I just don't want to break it before I even start.
There's a patch on the top. You push a tab to one side and lift the latch

The quality for a $70.00 camera is not bad at all which is the results of the high ratings on amazon. You’re expectations were too high of an in expensive camera. Of course the quality is not of the GoPro but keep in mind you’re talking about a camera that’s several hundred dollars less. And for $70.00 it’s a great bang for your buck.
Exactly, well written. I'm looking for a good camera, not looking to fork over a ton of Benjamins for an absolutely top of the line camera.
Good honest opinion review. I have used both I have no problem with it , for the money its fine.
They sell truckloads of this camera through Wal-Mart.
No hate meant but its always fun to hear someone that was raised during the touch screen era find pushing buttons on things cumbersome. You should of been around for the VHS era lol Enjoyed the review keep em coming!
I appreciate you thinking I"m that young! I definitely remember my brothers and I getting to bring out the Atari and having to make sure the TV was tuned to channel 3 to get it to work :)

Can you use this as a web cam for live videos?
It does have a micro HDMI port and I saw an answer on the Amazon page saying it was possible. However, I am not able to personally corroborate.
I've bought the V50 Pro few weeks ago, the one I have can't record 4K video for more than 8 seconds (Recording stops after 8 seconds). no issue with other video resolutions. I tried contacting AKASO support team....no reply so far.
is this camera waterproof without the case or only with the case? thanks in advance for the reply

Thanks for taking the time to review this camera. I'm sure for people who think they can get something for nothing, this is very helpful. We have 3 of these cameras. One for each kid to use for vacation or beach days in the summer or whatever. Why? Because it is perfectly adequate and inexpensive. I don't have a $300-400 action camera because I don't need one. We use these cameras once or twice a year. They're lots of fun to take snorkeling or to the bike park. Kid loses one or breaks it? No big deal - it didn't cost that much. The picture and video quality is perfectly fine for some cool memories. I see a lot of reviews on here wanting to compare it to something much more expensive, but it's comparing an apple to an an orange. Once you get past the fact that they're both fruit, the similarities end, but they can both be good in their own right.

Can I fit a mini usb audio adapter to it?
It does have a micro USB port but I'm not sure if it takes audio adapters.

I stopped paying attention to Amazon ratings a long time ago. Most are either fake or ill-informed. I can't tell you how many companies have approached me over the past few years and offered free or discounted products in exchange for five-star Amazon ratings and positive video reviews. It's all a game at this point. Anyway, I found yours to be a nice, honest overview. Thanks.

Now I'm confused. You're saying the Yi is better than the 4-1/2 star rating of the Akaso, but Amazon buyers are giving a Yi an average rating of 2-1/2 stars? Hmmm...🤔

Grant Hubbard dude that sucks sorry you were not able to use it....ironically enough, that's what I got it for..if you look at my channel I use gopros to film myself fishing...I got an additional gopro to add to the other gopro for my underwater shot, however I lost it already lol...so I'm waiting on this one to get in...I tell you what though...go subscribe to my channel #freshwaterwarrior and once it shows up I will tag you in a shout out and get some footage so u can see.
I assume you were going to snorkel with it? It really sucks that you couldn't use it...I've been there my friend...to many times...il def let u know once my footage is up

I know it's kinda crappy but I got the whole kit delivered for 28 bucks eBay. I easily zipped three of the mounts on my 5 inch fpv drones and I am never worried about smashing the thing. The vid quality isn't bad at 1080 and 60fps. Hey man it's a disposa cam!
The Akaso ek 7000 is not a true 4 k sensor camera. I have it and use the 1080 60p for full quality. I swapped out the stupid "Curve the world" lens and it is now a very good action camera. I even modded a Microphone jack on it .

This camera is crap!! Battery lasts two minutes, and casing is blocking sound almost completely. I got it last year, used twice( only worked in room temperature, cause outside in the mountains with about 0 degrees the battery died within few minutes). Now I got GoPro!!!

Pretty useless review comparing items that are clearly very different ? Very unhelpful for anyone interested in action cameras but not equipped with enough $$$ for the inordinately expensive brands.
Do not buy Akaso action cameras.
They are rubbish. You can't use it for long.
They break down easily.
My friend and I bought Akaso action cam from Aliexpress.
Mine broken down within a month and my friend's broke down in a few months as well.
Really annoying style of review...just constant monaning... felt like topping myself..... this is a budget camera and you seem to get huge ton of stuff not to mention a camera that seems to do a good enough job... like others have said youu completely missed the point on this and wasted yor time "reviewing" this.
