Fantastic and thorough review!
Nice video, really useful because I was looking for a budget action camera but I was never satisfied with the stabilization or dynamic range, looking forward for the gopro comparison 😉
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this video! I was looking for really cheap action cameras I won't feel bad about breaking with my extreme weather usage. Thanks for suggesting the V50X as that alternative! I wonder what sensor and processing chip it has. The 4K timelapse mode and dynamic range look perfect for my weather needs.
Glad it was helpful!
Great review, thanks
Amazing video as always
One of my favorite UA-camrs
Wow, thanks!
Video MADE me change my mind!! Thank you, was allllllllmost going to purchase the EK.
waiting for ur review bro finally i got it thanks.
Hope you enjoyed it!
The V50X is fine. Don't know i'd be comfortable paying full price for it but might consider it. Struggles severely in some areas but also does some things well Unlike the EK7000 or Pro.
Only got 3 min in and the V50X was already the clear winner. Thanks
nice comparison, ty!!
Nice. Vedios brother..I really like ur prasenation, and also very useful
Stabilization on the V50x is GREAT. But Picture quality I would DEFINITELY have to go with the EK7000
The EK7000 is clearer and the colors pop more where the V50X is DULL and DARK.
naw the picture quality is way better on the v50x and you can remedy the dull colors in post processing, theres really no point to getting the ek7000
V50X's stabilization is amazing
I was pretty impressed myself!
@@AuthenTech yes but imagesis cropped A LOT, that sucks!!!
Omggg! Thank u Ben!✌🏻✨
I love your videos.
Glad you like them!
Same
The EK7000 PRO looks WAY clearer and brighter, making it easier to see, particularly for uploading to social media. The V50X looks dark, blurry and less impressive, EXCEPT for the electronic stabilization. Based on this video, I would go with the EK7000 PRO over the V50X in a heartbeat. Great video - very helpful.
Waited for this review ! Thankyou so much for it ! What about the other akaso models of v50 like v50elite and all of those ,are they worth comparing?
Possibly! I watched some comparisons and I think I kinda liked the V50X out of those 3, but haven't tested hands-on yet. If there's enough interest..
@@AuthenTech Okay thanks alot sir , keep making such videos 💯
I got my v50x a few weeks ago and the microphone is pretty good! At first I played back a video on the camera itself and the sound was horrible, but I realized it's the speaker NOT the microphone. Playing videos back on my computer proved the microphone works pretty well and I DIDN'T have to turn the volume up much on the computer to hear everything. My only 2 issues are: 1. It sucks in lower light. 2. When I turn the camera on and hit record it will beep but it DOESN'T record. I have to hit record a second time. Once it's been on I can start and stop recording without issue so I can live with this. And you can tell if it's recording by the red blinking light on the screen. One cool thing is it takes the same batteries as my 11-year-old sj4000.
Sj4000 was a really good one men
ok, that is a real review. Thanks buddy.
The stabilization on the V50 X is amazing.
Thats just cropping the image to stabilise it.
The thing about the audio, for these cameras, provided you can get audio with a proper external source, I do not give a flying f about, BUT I can see some people screaming in pain having worse audio with the V50. Not an issue for me, cause, when it comes to audio, to Caesar what is Caesar´s. Rode Wireless Go mics and audio externally. All you want is the shot it provides. I really loved your review and your attitude. Well earnt subscription mate! Keep them coming! Cannot believe you did it all in 10:00 minutes.
I using ek7000 pro right now so much cool and good quality Resulotion for new beginners of blogging. Shout out next vlog from Philippines
what a stabilization of the v50x!! top for the price!!
the ek looked better color wise. but everyone sees color differently i guess!! thanks for the video tho!!!
I'm planning to buy the v50x but from the mic quality I probably need a external mic,do you have a preference that works with the cam well
I see where you’re coming from but I personally think the ek 7000 pro looks better. Even if the color is exaggerated it looks better. The V50 looks like it has a permanent cloudy filter on it and it’s not pretty.
Loved the vid cod you also make a comparetion on the akaso v50 pro?😀
Yea thanks for the request
please please try the external microphone of v50 x and do some different test to it thanks
Thank you very much for the beautiful couplings. Greetings from Morocco
I want a camera I can run either. I'm a faster than average runner. So stabilisation is important tbh. V50X or EK7000?
Great video. Thanks.
Hi ... which of those 2 would you recommend in recording indoor basketball games?
It'll be installed in a tripod TYVM !
Do you recommend V50X for often vlogs and stabilization?
Can you add stabilization editing after??
This video was extremely helpful and made my decision very easy. Thank you.
What did you get?
@@CalebRayBub The V50X. It's great.
@@Mozza85 Awesome! That’s what I ended up getting to.
Any idea which frame will fit v50x camera?
Any camera that is same size as v50x whose frame I can use for v50x?
Sorry, what configuration do you use for the v50x?
What kind of external mic that's portable would be good for the V50x
Is there a big difference between the V50X and the V50Pro? Would like to see a comparison of those two
Will the audio get better to have a microphone attached to V50x? Sorry if this question is dumb.
Great review. I'm looking for a 4k camera for action and underwater for $100. Would you still recommend this today or is there something better?
same me to im looking for one to man for my youtube channel
Is it possible to use an external microphone on the ek7000 pro?
Would you recommend the EK7000 Pro for filming a cricket match from the boundary?
Hi, what is the max resolution and fps in webcam mode?
Wow 2 years ago but wondering if AUTHENTECH will see this.. what would your opinion be on HERO 6 vs V50x?
Do these action cams over heat particularly the v50x
You have to dodge that branch every time! Hah!
Can EK7000 pro waterproof case use in akaso v50x? Very hard to find akaso v50x waterproof in my country :( please reply
I have 2 of the regular 7000s, I need a new camera since I hate to drop my phone again.
What is up with the V50x Audio? Yes please test the MIC
Please do the ausek s9r vs akaso v50x
Does this fit go pro harness ?
Anyone know if you can run an external battery source for the V50X?
TQ bro
Does anyone know there's a way to keep this plugged in for continuous recording? I wanted to do time-lapse videos and didn't want camera dying on me. Or is the answer just getting extra batteries?
Well you never said which one but I do know the ek7000 comes with 2 batteries and with those you should last a few hours which is all you'll need
Did you try turning up the microphone on the Akaso V50 X? I had to do that to mine too hear anyting.
Where's the microphone setting?
What camera of any type have you been most impressed with for low light performance?
The 1-inch sensor on ONE R is really impressive for low light, and smartphones as well, like iPhone 11 Pro and Pixel, they have incredible processing of low-light photography.
The best review for these 2 ty shame v50x doesnt have mic input
yes it does. I have it and I have the external mic for it.
The ek7000 pro.Everybody seems to be saying this camera is great. My experience was something different from file errors to not recording video but displaying it is, in the end it just wouldn't turn on sent it back saved my hard earned cash and got a go pro hero 7 black. The most annoying thing about it was when using stabilisation you can not use timestamp and the battery life is terrible.
I had 2 replacement E7000 Pro's and gave up for a refund. Awful battery and both stopped working fast sadly.
Great video! Wow
Glad you enjoyed it!
V50 is won! But the mic is they have external mic on it.
so no worries about that
Cool video
yes please ext mic for v50x
I bought the V50x and it is not very good. The audio is terrible so the external mic is a must unless you only do silent video. Battery life is bad. Charge it fully, then leave it for two days turned off. Pick it up, start filming and the battery is empty after 2 minutes... The app for transferring your movies to your phone etc. sucks. So, spend some more and you will get a better camera.
does this camera come with a SD card
What about cooau 4k action camera
V50 X's stabilization is better, but EK7000 Pro's audio is a lot better..
How can they get everything else so good, on the V50X except for the audio which is so bad ?
I'm about to order a V50X, and the proper Akaso external microphone for it.
@@calysagora3615how'd the external mic end up sounding?
Does the V50 has selfie stick removal?
basically, the more expensive camera is better than the cheaper one every time
Apeman a80 is the best value for money only 50 pounds, its quality
Please review xiaomi seabird.. 🙏
Thanks for the request. That one is only max FOV: 145° - seems a little narrow for an action camera.. (and I'm guessing it goes more narrow with EIS?)
Yo compre la ek 7000 pro en 50dlls jeje entonces creo valio la pena
Hope I could get this in India
i find my ek7000pro absolutly good
New Akaso Brave 7 LE is out of stock already in the US?! :-( was going to order one :-(
I think it's pre-order right now, shipping starts soon. I'm excited to check it out
Do like the V50X better than the V50 Pro?
In most of those shots, the ek7000 had a better looking picture. The stabilisation might be better on the v50 but, personally, the EK picture quality looked better.
i think your confusing what a better picture is with a camera that has more saturation by default.
if you take the footage of the v50X and add a little brightness and saturation on post editing you will get the same image with finer detail.
the better quality of the sensor of the v50x is mostly noticeable when the zoom in on the swans is shown.
I thought the EK looked better too!
@@tuga2112 I think your confusing what a personal opinion is.
v50x is no have a wide angle ??
tell me what simplest model to record video with bokeh effect (not focused background)?
If you want bokeh, not an action cam
@@AuthenTech so which one?
@@whocareswhoiam2day DSLR and Phones only.
price gone up 😳
today I am still using the EK 7000plus
With the latest prices of Osmo Action I think the DJI is the best buy
Osmo Action is pretty cool, but even on sale right now, $259. For $40 more, then there's GoPro 8. I'm waiting for new Osmo Action, maybe v2 will be good
@@AuthenTech in my country the Osmo Action price Is 220 usd and the GoPro8 Is way More expensive.
Which is better?
Ek 7000
I personally think the ek looks sharper
I personally like the ek way better
THE V50X HAS BETTER QUALITY AND STABILIZATION I HOPE I CAN FIND IT ON AMAZON BECAUSE IT IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE APP AT WALMART
For 100 bucks I would go with one of the cube FPV cameras out. Like the caddx, runcam...etc.etc. Maybe you can compare those to the 50 :)
Those are fun too, and I like the small size. I think the average consumer probably wants a touchscreen to preview the shot, playback, change settings, etc
I have the 7 black, why it freezes if I try to do in 240fps?
Buggy software?
AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke
after making the video in 1080p 240fps, and I try to watch it freezes. the gopro is 2 weeks old
Leon Fisher
only in 240 fps freezes, normal works
There’s actually v50 elite for $118 too. Would love to see it. And I’m curious about apeman as well
Ha, they have so many different models, it's like never ending comparisons ;)
ngl v50x is definitely the best in term of balance of money. Plus, they get better firmware support from akaso for some reason. The v50x is definitely akaso's favorite child.
Can I use 128gb SD card in akaso ek7000 pro?
Yes. I have a Samsung 128Gb U3 in mine.
Comparison between v50x and brave 6 plus
Thanks for the request. I'll def consider it
@@AuthenTech Thank you so much
@@AuthenTech with underwater test
Who else feels like GoPro and the v50x is favored when compared to the ek7000
I wish I can afford one of those.
Go ump Luke three baseball games homie
This company is flooding the market with different models. On German Amazon I could only find EK7000 and V50, no Pro or X
Haha, they have a LOT of different models.. gets a bit confusing
7:16 - Am I blind or is the 7000 way better on balanced exposure and WAY better detail. Just look at the lamp and the window frames . This Dude's after the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
what a crok. EK clearly had better picture quality. you could actually see grass instead of just green mush
If you want your head to look wider, get the EK7000 Pro, if you want a skinny head, get the V50X.
im too skinni boi, should I use EK to become wide boi?
Pause at 3:18. Look at the grass. Look at the water later in the video, look at the leaves of the tree. 7:26
The resolution of the EK7000 to ME seems much better than that of the V50. Yes, it's true, 4k is upscaled by the EK7000, the sensor is only 1080p - I own it myself and did the research. But what really matters is the resulting resolution, not the amount of pixels. This is defined more by the lense really.
The one thing that I think the EK7000 does poorly, it seems to have much much much too much of a sharpening filter active. That's why the face looks so weird.
And yes, image stabilization is of course very poor.
Ek7000 is really good for me not sure why ot looks so bad for you
Do they all get super hot?
Neither of them became hot for me in testing
@@AuthenTech that's a plus ! I recently recorded time lapse driving for 30 minutes and when I check gopro8 was over 138F
