In fact, they formed Toto after running into each other so many times at sessions and deciding they should start their own band. Steve Lukather, Jeff Porcaro & Steve Porcaro played on multiple songs on Michael Jackson's Thriller album. They were sought after session musicians. You know many of whom they worked with.
In addition to the albums sold under their band name (40 million), they were prolific session artists playing the music for other artists, including the backing music on Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album. In total, the collective members have been recorded on over 5,000 different albums, selling over 500,000,000 albums.

I love when music videos do a close-up on the guitar solos. Dragonforce does that with Through the Fire and Flames. It's breathtaking to watch Herman Li's fingers travel up and down the highway of his guitar. The other guy is there with him, but I don't remember his name

I was born in '78, I know the song, heard it many times, I have no recollection of it being Toto. Seriously I thought Africa and Rosanna was the only two they were known for. It was also in GTA: San Andres apparently.
