This band started in the late 70's & has been performing for over 40 years now. They mix all types of genres in their sound. They have had some great hits such as "Africa", "Rosanna", "I'll Supply The Love", "Georgy Porgy", "99", "Make Believe", "Stranger In Town", "I'll Be Over You", "Without Your Love", "Stop Loving You", "Pamela" etc.
I was 8yrs when this song came out. My older siblings and cousins were playing this. I fell in love with these guys songs. This songs is one of my favourites ✨🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💜
I love the reaction! Toto is one of the great bands of all time; Master musicians, great vocals, great song writers. Toto did the soundtrack for the movie Dune in 1984 and was the band behind Michael Jackson on the Thriller album. Other great songs: Georgy Porgy Rosanna Africa I'll Supply The Love Girl Goodbye 99 I Won't Hold You Back Hydra St. George and the Dragon Make Believe Lorraine I'll Be Over You Stranger In Town
Toto was and is an extremely tight band where they always were SO amazingly proficient. Saw then a few months ago and they were also amazing. Thanks for the review!!!!
Devin this is THE BAND OF THE LAST 40 YEARS. I have seen them live 7time and adore them. Dive into their music you will be surprised. They have been out there playing Toto and as sessionmusicians for YEARS
Guitarist Steve Lukather is considered one of the best guitarist in history, and besides his work in Toto, is said to be the most prolific session guitarist in history, working with everyone from Chicago to Michael Jackson. In “fun” fact, Eddie Van Halen does the guitar solo on Jackson’s “Beat It”, but the rhythm guitar you hear throughout the song is Lukather.
I had this on a 45 when it was new! This is a song that every time it comes on the radio when I’m driving, I gotta crank it up! And I can attest to the idea that love isn’t always on time! Toto also does “Africa”….I’m sure you’ve heard it…..also “Rosanna”.
Toto is one of my faves and I have always found their message to be On Point. In this instance, that love is what you DO, not what you say you do, or even how being with you makes someone feel. So many people confuse love with how a person makes them feel. Love is a two-way street, and Toto spells that out. Sometimes you have to wait on a love like that to come for you, and in the meantime, God's love is ALWAYS a two-way street.
Hey Devin! Another wonderful band to explore, I love all their songs, meaningful lyrics and you can sit back and chill. "Africa" and Rosanna" both were hits back in 1982. Such a great selection to choose from! 🥰
Devin, we could tell that it was "for real" for you! I loved your facial expressions each time a new crescendo caught you off guard. Talk about an honest reaction. Loved it. TOTO is one of the great ones from the 70's. Enjoy my brother!
My favorite band! Steve Lukather is the amazing guitarist❤ He can do the crazy stuff like play the guitar behind his back🙃 Best line up they ever had...there have been like 15 incarnations. Steve has been in every one. Definitely do more videos. You should watch the live video...the Paris one 1991 I think. Do I Won't Hold You Back. Steve sings it and his guitar solo is just wow!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BAND! I grew up listening to them in the 70’s and 80’s. The range of this singer is incredible! Your next should be I’ll be Over You. Michael McDonald from the Doobie Brothers sang back up and is in the video 💓
I just went to a Toto and Journey concert. The #freedomtour2022. It was an amazing show. Toto was just as great as I remembered them. Fantastic show all the way around.
Your reactions are a joy, brother in Christ! Gotta echo the requests for Africa and Roseanna. You won't regret it! Sadly brothers Jeff and Mike Porcaro have passed, leaving only brother Steve (a Gibb-ly familiar tragedy), with the other members to carry on. Another (?!) great band to explore is Little River Band, Australia based, world famous - and generally acknowledged as under-rated. Alas, their legacy has been tarnished by years-long squabbling, but their brilliance is undeniable. Blessings, bro!
Hey Devin! Welcome to arguably and collectively the most talented band on earth! You’ve now experienced Hold The Line. Now check out their biggest selling single of all time….Africa. There are also other great hits and deep cuts from this amazing collection of musicians!!! Rosanna I’ll Be Over You Waiting For Your Love I Won’t Hold You Back Without Your Love Pamela Stop Loving You Georgy Porgy 99 Caught In The Balance Cruel I Will Remember ‘Til The End Melanie All Us Boys I’ll Supply The Love Out Of Love
To be able to enjoy these songs as much we do through the experience of someone hearing them, EXPERIENCING them for the first time, gives us a pleasure we never thought we could have, with music as familiar as this. And your unbridled enthusiasm ain't hurting my guy.
Rosanna & Africa are straight BANGERS! Just saw them earlier this month open for Journey and what a fun night that was! 🙌💙 Never have I been so excited to lose my voice at a show! 🤣💯
There's a lot of masterpiece from Toto, which are famous such as Africa, Rosanna, Pamela, Stop Lovin' You, 99, Georgy Porgy, I'll be over you and they are all differents, even if we can recognize the style of the band. But according to me (I'm a huge fan of Toto) there's other masterpiece from them, some songs that are musically absolutely wonderful, amazing! For example Jake to the Bone is incredible, Straight for the Heart has a amazing catchy beat, Can You Hear what i'm sayin show how the musicians are exceptional with a drum part absolutely amazing from Jeff Porcaro and a groove recognizable. How Does it Feels and 2 Hearts are a sort of a balad, idk how to describe but they are very beautiful composition (listen it under the rain .. 🤩). Home of the Brave is still my favorite one, and there's also Holyanna and Last Night which have very recognizable piano parts. The real identity of the band came from the drummer Jeff Porcaro, since he passed away their sound is not the same (even if the songs are still good with S. Phillips at drums) so if you search for others songs wich this impact, you can search into the first album (from the first called 'Toto' to the last with Jeff Porcaro 'Kingdom of Desire' but the compilation 'Toto XX' contain songs with him) Hold the Line is still one of my favorite from Toto it's... indescribable the feelings it give to us...
Mike and Jeff Pocaro the main musicans of Toto are both deceased. This band was so amazing. Such great talents. Rosanna is a great song. The video has a girl in a red dress dancing around but nothing showing and not sexual in nature. Loving all your reacts Devin! Love God, love people!!!
Guess today's generation is sick of the so called music they are throwing out there and going back to real music! Thank you for keeping my generations music alive. Yeah, music starting sucking in the 90s.
Great reaction. This song has been doing this to me for 44 years. "Africa" is probably their best known song, as well as "Rosanna". "Pamela" and "Animal" are also rockin' jams. For more laid-back tunes, check out "I'll Be Over You" and "I Won't Hold You Back". On another topic - I just discovered your channel today. You are terrific. I will be tuning in from now on. I have checked out a LOT of reaction channels, but you have what most of them don't have, a sense of enthusiasm, fun, and wonderment. I love that you bring emotion to it and have an open mind. If I might make a personal request... do "Ghost Love Score" by Nightwish. Every reactor does it. It's kind of a rite of passage for reactors. If you've never heard of this song, or this band, GOOD. Do the live version (in Wacken, Germany), and you will discover what everyone who listens to it does... it's the greatest female vocal performance EVER.
Just seen them last week with Journey and it was the best show I've ever seen. The tightest musicianship I've ever seen. Need to check out their songs....Rosanna, Africa , I won't hold you back, I'll be over you ......and crank it up bruh !!!!!👊
Eddie Van Halen said Toto was the perfect rock band. And the band WAS named after the dog from the movie...hehe And...Steve LU-kather was so good that Michael Jackson had him play on the Thriller album.
The guitarist, Steve Lukather, is a very underrated guitarist. He is also well sought after session player who has played on many records and songs. Including Michael Jackson's Thriller. The lead singer Bobby Kimball has some very strong pipes. After Toto IV he was fired from the band for his increased drug habit that he himself admitted really messed up his life. And when you here him talk, he speaks with a Louisiana drawl. He has since joined Toto on the occasionally tour.
Toto has a very wide discography. Hold The Line is just one of his best-known songs, but not one of their best. It is worth listening to his complete discography to appreciate his enormous talent, any Toto song is well above average in terms of quality.
They are definitely not a one hit wonder 😅. It looks like many great songs have already been mentioned in the comments below. You will enjoy exploring more of their music. Great reaction!
Not sure where u take suggestions but would love to hear u react to Credence Clearwater revival Songs:Born on the bayou, Fortunate sun, down on the corner They have many more than that but these are a great start Love your reactions!!!
Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album is really Toto, featuring Michael Jackson.
3:02 "Stop! No, don't." 🤣♥
That song and others from that time are proof that music was better then, than today, no doubt!
I was 8yrs when this song came out. My older siblings and cousins were playing this. I fell in love with these guys songs. This songs is one of my favourites ✨🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💜
Toto-- Hella jam man! These guys can throw it down. So many great songs! Rosanna and Africa are a must.
no they are not .. you're a casual
I love the reaction! Toto is one of the great bands of all time; Master musicians, great vocals, great song writers. Toto did the soundtrack for the movie Dune in 1984 and was the band behind Michael Jackson on the Thriller album.
Other great songs:

Girl Goodbye
99
I Won't Hold You Back
Hydra
St. George and the Dragon
Make Believe
Lorraine
I'll Be Over You
Stranger In Town
Eddie Van Halen played a section of the guitar solo, Steve Lukather the other parts. ( on Just Beat it)
Toto was and is an extremely tight band where they always were SO amazingly proficient. Saw then a few months ago and they were also amazing. Thanks for the review!!!!
Devin this is THE BAND OF THE LAST 40 YEARS. I have seen them live 7time and adore them. Dive into their music you will be surprised. They have been out there playing Toto and as sessionmusicians for YEARS
I love to watch the younger generation listen to 80's music. The 80's churned out some of the best music of any time before and since.
He's also always touring as Ringo's main guitarist. Where he plays Toto songs with Ringo on drums.
Luke plays electric and bass on Beat It. And yes Eddie does the solo.
The reason why I like this gentleman's reactions, is because he tries to connect things to God and love and the right thing. Like me.
I had this on a 45 when it was new!
This is a song that every time it comes on the radio when I’m driving, I gotta crank it up!
And I can attest to the idea that love isn’t always on time!
Toto also does “Africa”….I’m sure you’ve heard it…..also “Rosanna”.
This song is pure gold. I'm 67 and still get to moving when I hear it.
Toto is one of my faves and I have always found their message to be On Point. In this instance, that love is what you DO, not what you say you do, or even how being with you makes someone feel. These guys are top tier! One of my favorite bands ever. Rosanna, Til The End, Africa, Pamela, I Won’t Hold You Back, etc., etc.!
That guitar solo is one of the best in pop music history. And Luke improvised it on the spot. One take.
I BLAST this song in the car whenever it comes on the radio! 💜✌👏
They have a great collection of songs . Africa, Rosanna, I’ll be over you , and so many more . Oh yes also Georgy Porgy 😂😂
Devin, we could tell that it was "for real" for you! I loved your facial expressions each time a new crescendo caught you off guard. Talk about an honest reaction. Loved it. TOTO is one of the great ones from the 70's. Enjoy my brother!
Very talented band, CLASS.
In the 70's, studio musicians would form ready-made groups like Dire Straits and Toto.
As a result, their debut albums were polished.
Hello Devin. first time I got here so early. you seem like a great person and God bless you. my brother in Christ.
Bobby K singing the heck out of this song...amazing!
One of the best singers ever❤🔥 idgaf fight me...
My favorite band! Steve Lukather is the amazing guitarist❤ He can do the crazy stuff like play the guitar behind his back🙃 Best line up they ever had...there have been like 15 incarnations. Grab a dozen Toto discs, point your finger anywhere, come up with a great tune. It’s that simple.
Bobby Kimball was an excellent vocalist!
Great 80s!!!!
They were studio musicians and decided to firm their own band.
God bless you! Love the reactions and your ministry
Rosanna is a great sing
You HAVE to listen to the new DGD single!
Next Toto GIRL GOODBYE Only one other reactor has done that song, but it is a masterpiece. Definitly on par with this one

I would be curious to see your reaction to a sad, brutal song called "Maxine" sung by Sharon O'Neil.
