Best thing about the 10... ammo is always available. During this crisis, try to go find 9mm defensive loads. I walked in to my LGS and they had nothing but .357SIG & 10mm. Oddball calibers are great for that reason alone. Anyways, love my Glock 20.4
Yup the last 4 times i went to Cabelas for fishing gear and checked their ammo selection the only ones they had besides all the bolt action calibers was 10mm, 357sig, 357mag, and 44mag. Lol
and that is the reason why i purchased a decked out glock 23 converted to .357 sig and also a rock island armory tac ultra fs hc in 10mm during the pandemic 😂😂😂
Love my Glock 10mm’s. All 3 now have Alpha Wolf barrels, McNally triggers, and Ameriglo sights. Really like my Pearce Glock 29 mag extensions too. My Glock 20/40 for woods and 29 for EDC.
I Have plenty of handguns, mainly 9mm. I have a .45 1911 which was my woods gun/ hunting sidearm. There are bears, wild boar and cougars out here, and the 1911 was just too heavy along with all my other gear. Picked up the Glock 29 to take on that role and it’s an awesome piece.
Love my Glock 29 ! I pocket carry it in a Remora sticky holster when wearing cargo shorts, I also have a Vedder leather/ kydex hybrid IWB , I wear it at 4 o’clock position . I installed Ameriglo Spartan night sights and pierce mag extensions on my mags. This is a hand canon that is very accurate! Oh and I own three .357 magnum revolvers, but that g29 is my pocket monster 🤩
Excellent presentation good pointers. The Glock model 29 looks very promissing as an effective practical Wilderness Defense Life Saving Device! As many apex predatorial animals such as Bears,Wild Boars,Coyotes, Wolfs etc. Which are known to target , stalk, hunt and attack hunan beings. No doupt the 10+ round capability of the Glock 29 semiautomatic Pistol. Which as you said is generally allot quicker to replenish then a revolver. Giving you the Defender an edge. Underwood's Hardcast or Lehigh Defense rounds are some of the best the choices a perfect match for this small effective powerhouse. I have written Glock, as many have to strongly suggest that Glock offer a Gen 5 in their models 29/40/20 in 10mm with an optional X model type Lanyard Loop ring. I urge everyone concerned to do so as well. As implementing such would be a Win/ Win for both the customer base and Glock.
@@88sportstalk I know its a 10mm but what Im asking is what do you run as far as manufacturers ammo. Hornady critical duty? Remington Golden Saber ? Buffalo Boar? What do you run in 10mm for a case like that?
I love my full size HK .40S&W but I really really want a G29 10mm Auto because that full size is too much to pack when Elk hunting in the PNW jungles lol!
Thanks 4 the vid! I had bad luck with my 29 traded it away (bought for bear protection on back country mountain hikes, but love my G20. Next glock I get will probably be the G30 gen 4.

I owned a Delta Elite back in the day and it kicked like a mule. I sold it. Bought a G20 gen 4 and it soaks up the recoil. It shoots like a lazer out to 300 yards. It's my Colorado mountain gun. I'm kicking around a G29. Just because. Be well!
Chris Pachnik Hi Chris, I’m on the fence of getting a G20. I have Glocks 19, 19X and Sig P220 45 ACP. I like the way the Sig feels when shooting, there’s no snapping only a flat recoil. Although the Sig is all metal. How does the G20 feel when you shoot it? Thx
John Wick The 220 is my favorite 45. Carried it for 10 years in the winter in Minneapolis. Lol! The G20 kicks like a Glock. Only with 10mm it's more but way more manageable than my Delta elite. I'm a small guy and the 20 doesn't fit my hand but I bought it anyway. I shoot it all the time just to keep myself aquanted with real recoil. I've gotten pretty good with a weapon that doesn't fit my hands. Probably the lightest kicking platform for a 10mm.
@@JohnWick-wm4pd I've shot the G29, and it's a moderate kick, not as snappy like the G30 I've fired, pretty manageable. A little stronger wrist strength and I could reliably double tap I think. I'm no body builder by any means if that helps your frame of reference.
One other thing about 10mm, in an emergency case you can fire .40 S&W as last resort ammo from your Glock pistol, without any other modifications I am told. I have not tried it nor do I plan to, but during times like now when ammo is as scarce as toilet paper it is nice to have another option.
In tribute to Eddie Van Halen I just painted my G29 to look like his frankenstein Guitar. As for protection you can keep that overrated Sig Crown bs ammo. I carry only Underwood.

How many of you know that you can take the Glock G30/30sf 45cal and drop in a 10mm conversion barrel (couple companies make them for ~$150) and have two guns in one?
"Canadian law requires handguns to have a barrel longer than 105mm or 4.134" in order to be legally sold as a "Restricted" firearm." And if we could conceal carry i would go with a G20 gen 4 or G20 sf
So you guys can't conceal carry any firearms? I see you all just lost your ability to own MSRs due to that monster in Nova Scotia. I never understood the punishing of all good legal gun owners for the actions of a criminal. Especially one who stole the gun used from a police officer! Crazy!!!
You’re making one mistake in judgment here. When the FBI came out with the .357magnum “one shot stop” winning caliber based on shootings in 1983, they made that claim with one single bullet design. That was the .357 magnum 125gr semi jacketed hollow point specifically. It was NOT a 180 grain, nor a 110, 135, nor 145 grain .357 magnum. Again it was ONLY the 125 gr SJHP in .357mag. So your 180 is no better, nor worse than say a 9mm 124gr FMJ. They both just poke holes through people and that’s what you DONT want.
@@sparky_-mf2cs You’re right… it also makes an “exit” hole through a human torso. That’s a total “fail.” Any bullet that passes cleanly through is wasted and expelled energy. It’s why the U.S. military has loathed FMJ on the battlefield for decades and decades.
I know you know this, but fiber optic sights are not night sights. In the dark fiber optics don't show up. you will not see your sights at dark. They are good during day light hours only. I think at night in a dark room and someone is in your house and your scared, you most likely wouldn't see your sights, even if you could , and you would, after making sure your target as someone who is there to do you bodily harm. You would just point in direction of threat and start pulling the trigger. Even if you had true night sites. I think you would just look at assailant and point weapon at center of mass and fire until threat stops or you run out of bullets and you wouldn't even see the sights. I'm only guessing what I said but everyone is different.
