- We have some new firmware for MOOD MKII. It's just a bit different, but it's a thing that many of you have asked for: A true recreation of MOOD's classic stretch sound.

Some specifics on all this:
The original MOOD's Stretch mode had a soft, wispy character to it that we couldn't replicate on MOOD MKII (until now!). This update brings that character to MOOD MKII's Classic mode. Everything else about the pedal is the same, including the sound of Stretch mode in MKII mode. So you get both. It's a small change but you know what, it sounds great and I understand why so many of you wanted that sound back.

Light Bright Edition looks great! Much easier for readability to have more contrast of text against contrasting background colour :)
I just ordered one even though I have the purple one just for that reason. Gonna have to sell the purple nurple. Wish my eyes were better but this solves it and I missed out when they did the white one with black contrast writing several months ago

guys. so much love and thanks for working on things - but - it sounds washier a little bit but definitely still not similar to MKI. MKI never ever stuttered or jittered through audio like MKII or MKII.1 do. it was a never ending smooth wash with no sharp transient repeats. just want to communicate that experience. appreciate what you do

mood mk2 is my favorite pedal. I would loooooooove this pedal even more in eurorack format.

I agree with you if it’s in spread how they had it, it is MUCH closer if you use the hidden switch option to make the loop mono. All of that shimmer-y, string-like element comes back.

To me MK2 1.1 sounds very muffled with much less definition in comparison to MK1

Oh that's funny, I checked literally yesterday if there was a firmware update.
i must say i just ordered the new one just because it looks like I can read the print on it below the knobs/switches and on the purple one it blended in too much when standing above it. will have to let my purple one go. the new color way looks great
Help. I cant get the "DFU in FS Mode" option in the Zadig app. *EDIT: Unplug and replug the Mood power adapter while usb is inserted.
By upgrade you mean overwrite? Not sure if I understood
Tried yesterday with all my cables I thought were data capable. Didn't work no matter what I tried. Ordered a new cable. Then I actually read the instructions properly and paid attention to the asterisks. Plug in USB BEFORE power! Works fine! What a pillock! 🤦🏻
P.S. My mood is 2 days old so I've had a good play but not really made any presets, so updsted with no worries. But for future reference: do firmware updates retain all saved presets or effectively factory reset them all?

Lightbright should be the main color way.
The mood MKII design makes it feel like a box for a menstrual product. Which is ok I guess, but not my preference.

!!! There's this particular way I use Stretch for one Plain Speak song, and I could never get MKII to do it - which is ok, like it leaves a little magic for MKI, but I always wondered why Classic mode couldn't pull it off and kept debating whether to ask you guys about it but ultimately never did - and apparently others asked and you answered and now it's very exciting for all of us. Also congrats on the smooth firmware update system, you all continue to inspire.

Yay, finally got my MOOD MK2 to update. The key for me was proper data cable obviously, although I did try using this one last night but the other key to make it work was unplugging power supply and re-plugging it in once usb cable was in and driver thing was opened and then it found it.

Hell yeah! Just as a quick question, how easy would it be to revert back to the old firmware if we prefer it? I think I’m gonna stick with the updated stretch (I had been thinking about picking up a mk1 for that exact reason), but if I ever wanted to change back is that an option?
Thank you I was just about to comment again asking this because I was curious in prep for making a video I was now curious to show maybe both modes of stretch maybe since I have the purple mkII. And is this update stretch sound only in relation in classic mode only? The non- classic stretch still sounding same and this relates to classic mode in mkii only
Extremely easy, we thought people would want the option. Both versions are on the firmware page.
Yep, Classic mode only. So you can actually use both versions in the new V1.1 firmware@@PedalPlayhouse
@@ChaseBlissAudio is it possible to release a firmware version that changes the stretch behavior both for classic and normal mode? It seems this may be useful, because the classic mode introduces many other stuff that user may want to avoid, but still want updated algo.
@OliverEvergreeI understand what you are saying..I'd actually prefer it that way..I'd love the old stretch mode available in the non classic mode because I never go onto classic mode as I prefer the noisefree clock ..but hey it's still cool it's an option and d I'm sure il probably go to classic mode stretch for those great ambient Soundscapes in glorious stereo now...ps:I like the "new" Stretch mode too..

I literally just got my Mood yesterday, so I'm a bit disappointed that I missed out on getting the new design. But I'm loving it so far and look forward to trying the new firmware at least.
If it’s any consolation, I think the original design is way better! On the black one, it looks like an extra “o” in the middle of the word.
I like the light bright edition, but prefer the colours of the original Mk2, so still bought the standard purple version. Although I'll admit the writing is easier to read on the looper channel of light bright.

I'm confused.. what do I choose in the updater when I have an OG Mood MKII? There are two options for "Choose your pedal:"
MOOD MKII v1.0
MOOD MKII v1.1 - NEW
Do I choose what I have or what I want and if I have to choose what I have... how do I know what I have?
Choose the firmware you want to load onto the pedal

just updated my Mood MKII. Thanks for the update. :-)
had to turn the pedal on its side and hold the USB inside it to get it to connect after lots of trial and error. the plug is far from the chassis which is likely why. finally updated

I don't think I heard Joel stutter once, not that that matters or anything but its nice to see him so comfortable in front of the camera. Awesome update! Very much looking forward to a mkii in the future.
