10 Cars That Are About To Blow Up In Value

  • There’s nothing like that sinking feeling when you see that car you let go of ten years ago for almost nothing crossing an auction block for big money. What goes into a future classic can be hard to pin down. Everyone knows that a special edition of a legacy badge will be a collector’s car with new examples headed straight to an air conditioned garage. But there’s that secret sauce that is a combination of uniqueness and nostalgia. Maybe it’s a car that is just in that sweet spot between a depreciated new car and a future collector like the Porsche 997, C4 Corvette, or the e92 BMW M3. Maybe it’s a car that overshot its target but now has found its place in tuner’s hearts like the Honda S2000 and the Acura Integra Type R. For those who want their car to be a thrill and to be a good investment, the right pick can make the difference. You also get the satisfaction of driving a car that’s increasing in value while everyone else’s cars are rapidly losing value. Plus, you’re in a cool car. Not everyone can be Jay Leno but they can put a car in their garage that will eventually go for more than they bought it for. As long as you pick the right car. Which of these cars stir your fancy? Are there classic cars out there that you think is tragically undervalued? Or some cars that are good investments?

    I bought a 914 73 2L last week, absolutely blessed. 41 year owned, pure beauty, can't believe it. Don't really care if it goes up in value - never selling. Unless a young lad wants it as much as I did in 41 years, then I'll let it go for a bargain - the previous owner loved it, and I wanna preserve that :D

    Bought a 93 c4 Corvette convertible in mint condition a month ago. It's a performance bargain. Fun to drive and tinker with.

      MOST FUN I ever had in a car!

    Just so happened today, that I saw an old Ford Thunderbird on a roll back. Appeared to be a good barn find.

      I've had 2 C5's but have driven a C4. Knowing a lot about Corvettes, you're not missing much other than the 80's nostalgia. The C5 is a VASTLY superior car in literally every way.

    Since I can’t afford an Aston Martin, The MG B-GT would be lovely to own. If I had the space. The S2000 and Miata RF are on my short list, though

    First gen f150 king ranch is at rock bottom. Avoid lariat and xlts unless they are supercrews. Also don't sleep on dakota/Durango RTs. The key is to find low miles and clean conditions. Chevy cobalt SS is another rock bottom proce sports car.

    997…..too late!! It’s already blown up. And actually, 1sr Gen 997s are way more abundant than second gen. The recession of 2008 saw a drop in product because of a drop in sales. So the 2009-2012s are the ones that are harder to come by, at least in 6-speed form. And when you find one, move fast and be prepared to not a premium. Ask me how I know.

    The “nine ninety six” and “nine ninety seven” descriptions of Porsche generations makes me dubious of his advice, whether broadly correct or not. Plus, the 996.2, which is the 996 you have in the video, did NOT share the Boxster’s headlights-It was the 996.1. They changed the shape for the 996.2 (in 2002). Come on man…it’s “nine nine six” and “nine nine seven” if you want to be taken seriously lol-because your list otherwise is broadly accurate!

    • @acooper111982
      @acooper111982 Рік тому +1

      Also, the GT2RS in this video is not a 997-it’s a 992.
      it goes 997.1, 997.2, 991.1, 991.2, 992. This GT2RS came 7(!) years after the last year of the 997
