great tutorial. there is also an AUTO ETTR module inside ML crop mood latest version. I used to have it worked sometimes automatically (havent figured it out 100% thou yet). so much faster Exposure setting than manual
It's actually more than 13 stops of dynamic range (~13.4-13.7 EV) with dual ISO enabled at 100/3200. You can see your real time dynamic range readout vary with your ISO settings if you enable the "Dynamic Range" setting in the"RAW EV Indicator" under the histogram settings in Magic Lantern settings. (recommended with RAW, RGB, Log histogram turned ON).
Like your contents. i have a question please. Do you trust crop mood on paid work? if that's not the case how you use it in your workflow. And i saw you shoot few videos on smartphone too. Do you know Motioncam pro. An app that enable you to shoot raw on android device. if you can use Motioncam pro, would you do a comparaison betwen the raw dng from your phone and the EOS M. Thank you.
@@lumingate Thanks, yes, I already watched it. I am trying Crop mode on EOS M, it is not that easy... I also have a Canon 22mm F2, I try to use manual focus as autofocus behaves weirdly for me and I am new to videography. Appreciate your videos.
Amazing, and the processing of dual iso is really simple through mlv. But i am surprised why modern camera have a cleaner look than the eosm, at identical resolution. Does it come from the sensor?
I had a question mate! Where did you end up buying the actual camera itself? I've been kind've looking around ebay but I'm not really sure if its legit. Thanks!
I don''t know much about the dual ISO feature, but from what I can see from your footages, the shakiness, jittering, blurry details were something you had to compromise, no ?
I always had problems with dual iso on previous releases of ML. Now it looks much better. without this CRAZY flickering issue I had previously. What mode do you use dual iso? It used to be 1080p mode only?
@@lumingate i found nailing the exposure is the key when using dual iso. I would try even overexposure just a tiny bit and recover - this gives less noise in the shadows. But also makes writing speeds stop faster. Don't know why.
@@tuongwall try latest build. the one Week was ravin about :) it worked for me. and yeah flickering sometimes still happen - it occurs in specific situations. usually when you over or underexposure too much i have it usually set to 100/800 iso settings for my Dualiso. try that. the image that comes from this camera will never stop to amaze me. it is kinda.. "matrix cat" thing this whole magic lantern.. it's like a glitch in a camera that is 2012
Does it have a global shutter? I really hate jello. Would like something better than 1080, but don't technically need 4k... Though research has shown that the in between resolutions aren't standard, so you either get a 4k30 with 1080p120, or you can get a 1080p60 camera, which sucks. I was intending on using a 2k-3k or whatever at 30 in order to downscale to 1080 and get better quality, kinda like how you can shoot 10, 12, or 14 bit, but there's no consumer display on the market that does over 10 bit, so you just use it for better gradiations and whatnot. Anyway, disjointed explanation over, do you have any camera recs for me? Looking for something that can do both photos and video, but I'm mostly interested in video, and I'm also very poor. That's why this caught my eye.
@@lumingate Like $400 absolute max at this point. Really just looking to dip my toes into movie-making and B-roll-style professional work and maybe have something for vlogs/lifestyle content.

You showed us the footage comparisons and talked about you getting the DR, but you didn't show us HOW we can do it, the video doesn't explain or go into camera functions and only talked about Neutral mode and having downloaded dual ISO, but if you mentioned Magic Lantern, I missed it, because I went into description to find it. Still, im very confused, I have this camera and its somehow gone on timer mode where it takes at least 10 seconds to take a picture. But im sure, this happens because of touch screens where you accidentally change an option and Ill figure it out, but Ill have to watch another video on what you talked about, to ACTUALLY understand how to do it step by step.

GREAT VIDEO!! how to turn on Dual ISO? Thanks!!!
It's in the first tab of the menu
Gotta try out the dual iso, looks great! Are you working here in a full time position or are you freelancing? I also live in Korea.
Yeah it's an awesome mode for sure. Working full time ATM moment.

Mostly the Canon 22mm F2. I have a video about it!

No that's good nothing to do. That's just the non stabilized sensor shooting hand held.

I tried it in all the different modes. Seems to work fine!

Honestly after seeing colors in comparation to XT4 if feel no more problems with its resolution.
How fuji became so bad with its color sience???
