i just tested it today and the result is great! but the amount of time exporting to prores422 is like x5 compared to footage which was shot in normal setup (not dual iso) :D
Hi there, great video. I am getting myself a used 700D specifically for installing ML on it and I have a small query, whether to install the latest ML with shutter version or one without it. From the forums I see people mostly using the shutter version from the latest build for the 700D. Also, I would love to know why only the 700D has these two versions and not the EOS M or the 650D, if you could help me with that, it would be great too.
Thanks! I use crop mood because by far it’s the most stable build of ML. Before that I used the most recent Danne’s build, which worked great but still caused me issues in different modes. Hope this helps!
i tried this earlier and i got, what looks like, terrible low bitrate looking video. im shooting in 14bit raw. also. i notice that any dual iso footage i shot is squished when i put it into resolve and i have to stretch it out when doing the final render and export. any suggestions? maybe somethngs going wrong in export?
buddy I set as you did the left and right button for aperture control but they don't work. i tried to switch to up and down and it works. it seems to me left and right buttons are not responsive at all. could you help? thanks
Great video, your channel has help me in my video production projects always ❤ Please I need help from you, am using Canon 60D I want to make inquiries if magic lanterns do work for the canon 60D and how long duration can it record in video mode because I saw tons of comments people saying it doesn’t record for long? Please help me
Thanks! I’m glad the videos have been helpful! With the 60D you can’t achieve long recordings with the builds of Magic Lantern, I don’t think the camera has fast enough read/write speeds. I’d recommend picking an EOS M or a 650D and using the new crop mood build. You can easily get continuous RAW recording with these cameras if you have the SD card storage space. Hope this helps!
Nice video. What for picture profile do u use in Magic lantern? Is all about sd card? Before i use 170mb/s and was not possible to get 4-5k. Is best sd with 200mb/s ???
You need Sandisk Extreme Pro 200/90Mb/s memory card. Memory card over clocking needs to be turned on from the Magic Lantern settings. Sergio Russo and Zeek have good tutorials for this.
Sorry maybe i'm number 2423 but what SD card do u use? And what speed it perform when u record? My is 80mbp/s i saw Russo's perform like 85mbp/s it's huge difference! What u can recommend? 240hz turned on!
Is there no way from MLV App to export DNGs that have the Dual ISO baked in? I tried exporting CinemaDNGs after enabling Dual ISO, but the outputs had the horizontal lines still.
That sucks man. I know why it does that but its really too technical to explain. It is better to adjust any major exposure, highlights, shadows and contrast in the MLV app. Always keep a copy of your orginal footage from the camera so you can go back and adjust things if needed. I would export mutiple scenes, each having different exposers just in case.
First focus then activate dual iso , but if you want to focus pull and run around with the camera you might have a problem with the unclear preview, perhaps use a wide angle lens when you run around using dual iso
Great job on this video. Looking to try dual iso soon.
Fantastic man so easy to set up and use👌Thanks for all your Eos m tutorials 👊🙂
🙏🏽Thanks, Brother Corey, you are The Man!! Best Wishes to you and your Loved Ones.
Thanks, brother!

don't u remember what was the bit depth for car shot? Love it!

Its insane
3:23 how do we know if we're just under the clipping point for our highlight?
Great Work! What build do you use and why? Crop Mood??

So I'm confused. Are we supposed to use ND filters if we are using Dual ISO or will that mess up the results?
Thanks!!!!
You're welcome!
thank you so much 🤗🤍

also i mentioned dual iso bites 1-2mb of card performance thats why its specially interesting
Sandisk extreme pro uhs-I, overclocked 160hz works like a charm 👍
Try different oc values, mine didn't work with 190 or 240
Can i use this camera and magic lantern with external recorder like the atmos ninja v? Thank you
To my knowledge, I don't think you can use an external recorder with ML.

Hi how can i get the newest ML for eos M ?
Thanks for sharing,
But how you make sure you are in focus, the preview not clear!
First focus then activate dual iso , but if you want to focus pull and run around with the camera you might have a problem with the unclear preview, perhaps use a wide angle lens when you run around using dual iso
It's easy to understand.
Is Dual ISO avalibale for all preset?
I believe it is!
Yes! You can use it in all modes and presets.
what lenses that you use for this camera?
...any lens you want!
Yes! You can use so many lenses with this camera! For most of the shots in this video I used the 7artisans 25mm f1.8 and the sigma 18-35mm f1.8
@@reelfilmmaking101 yes, thanks. great shot btw
What cage?
I use the m50 cage for my EOS M, makes handing easier.
это грёбанное iso невозможно настроить. каждый раз нужно выключать мануальный режим чтобы зайти в настройки
