MUNI LRV's - Church

Shot in a 14-minute period, this is a nearly nonstop almost 11 minutes of MUNI light rail action at Church Station.

@LIRR175: For the 2-car trains at most stations, it will announce the route for each car, thus hearing it twice.
Back when they combined to run up to 4-car trains in the tunnel, outbound trains could be more than one route. So in theory, the announcement for a two-car train consisting of a K and an M would go "Two car 'K' 'M' in -- minutes."

And the 3 and 4-car trains would uncouple at West Portal. Usually into a 1-car K,1-car L or M and a 2-car L or M. Remember those very well.

Janette McClelland For now, I shall let Muni get a break from my camera, until maybe 2017 or 2018. By then, the new trackless trolley fleet, some of the new LRV's, and the first new BART trains will be out and about....

Why are 'L' and 'M' sometimes announced twice and sometimes just once?

LIRR175 because the Arriving train is already explained by the “2 car” part and the coming trains are... actually I don’t know 🤔 but it just sounds better.

@@oof5536 Its just that before,trains used to be 3 or 4 cars.Each car had different destinations so when they reach West portal they would split off.They stopped doing this but i guess never updated the announcements

None of the LRVs rang their bells when they entered the station. Usually the trains do that.

I did get some bell at Forest Hill and at Castro, both this trip and last year as well. Though even then, not all of them rang it....
