The platform here is really long. It looks long enough to have at least 6 open at once and no doors would be blocked

why arent these trains at least 6 cars platforms would hold them all
they used to have 3 car boeing trains but when these trains came they were heavy and if they had a 3 car they would break rails and not couple right so you would have a train that fell off in the tunnel
The Original Plan was to have shorter trains join together at West Portal, and on the outbound trip, break apart into smaller trains. But the scheduling for this was complicated and eventually gotten rid of since as mentioned before, Brenda LRVs can't become 3+ car trains.
Overground train stations only handle up to 2 cars.However,with lighterweight new siemens,3 trains are possible,but would only be used as a shuttle
