Thanks for taking the me to make this video. The tiger, nc750x and tracer 7 are the main contenders for my next bike, I know you don't get the tracer on your side of the pond.
The panniers look great and are cleverly engineered. I think the top case looks good on the bike as well. Pricey, but worth it. It puts the 'touring' in Sport Touring.
Thanks, brother! I have the 12 page instructions but followed your installation guide instead with no problems. I also have the graphite/black Tiger 660 and she does look great with the black bags. Btw, I had no problem fitting a large full face helmet into the pannier.
Thanks for the comment! I do think the helmet brand and accessories attached play a role when fitting into the pannier. It was close for me, but I didn't want to risk damage to the helmet by trying to squeeze it in there.
Thanks for testing XL helmets in this. I'm looking at this bike for my next ride, and was going back and forth between the panniers and the tail case. Hopefully the tailcase is more usable for helmets. Cheers!
I picked up a Tiger 660 this weekend! The Top case does indeed fit a full XL helmet, but not the two advertised. It might with 2 small helmets, or maybe 3/4 helmets. Just thought I'd send this update in case you were still looking at the Top Case. Cheers!
Hi, a fix for the cold start problem is to give the throttle a 1/4 blip during starting. I saw another UA-cam complain of this and suggested it, as my Cbf1000 sulks if I leave it for a couple of weeks and the blip is the fix. He replied the next day and said it works. Still seems a bit poor though.
I haven't really noticed a difference if I give it throttle or not. I almost always need to hit the start button twice. In the video, I purposely held the button for a long time on the first attempt for demonstration purposes but a short first attempt followed by a second button press works for me most of the time. I have also noticed that the quality of fuel makes a slight difference as well.
Had the same panniers on a versys. They came with internal bags which reduced the capacity. Bought a 25litre dry bag that worked much better. Panniers were always waterproof.
You can get all different sizes of dry bags at most outdoor stores, REI - for example. Might be a faster, cheaper, more compact option than the Triumph brand dry bags.
I just purchased a new Tiger 660 today! I have yet to bring it home as they are adding a few things to it. I have a quick question for you though. Did you get those extra lock when you purchased your bike? I have only received 2 keys, a binder with the manual. Also, are the pannier big enough for a laptop and a change of clothing? I am using this bike as a daily commuter to work and so on. Would you suggest these or something else? Thx Joey
Mine came with a spare key and three extra barrel locks inside the binder. These are already matched to the ignition key. The panniers are big enough for a medium sized laptop. I have to remove my 15" Dell from the laptop bag in order to fit it in here. The optional top case would be more than big enough for a large laptop and bag though.
Does the pannier not sit completely on the mount (at time 8:09 in the video). If there is a 2-3mm gap; how does the pannier get support from the mount?
can anyone take the panniers/steal from the bike even if its locked? anyone can easily take it off or uninstall it from the bike when you leave it in parking lots or etc.? just curious
Very nicely done and presented with all the relevant info and details. Great job. Thanks for taking the trouble.

That Tracer 7 looks great! Hope you get to try them all out before making a decision.

Awesome review! I'm waiting for my 660 to arrive and ordered with the panniers so this was very helpful. Cheers!
Thanks, referred to this vid for some clues with the brackets and spacers.
I exclusively used this video to install my panniers. Thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
Thanks! Nice walkthrough of the install and the panniers. Considering stepping up from my Z400 to a Tiger Sport 660 at some point.
Glad it was helpful!
I have seareched some time for a channel that mains the Tiger Sport 660. Great that I've found you. This is almost undoubtedly my next bike. Subbed!
Welcome aboard!
Thanks for the video. Just received my panniers without any instuctions, but you saved my day! Hats off to you, sir 👌💪
Glad it helped. It's awesome to read comments like this one 😀.
Excellent video saved me hours trying to work it out.
Glad it helped

@@KSSTUDIOS You’re welcome! As I add accessories, your videos will continue being my guide. Good lock and keep the rubber side down!

just ordered the panniers for ly Tiger 660 ,

Carl
You mentioned the lock cylinders came with the bike? Were they ordered separately as mine did not come with extras?

The panniers been pretty good in keeping out water on their own. Good point on the reduced capacity with the bags.
Thanks for the video I am comparing this bike and the Kawasaki Versus 650 LT.
The kawa is good but is huge, you're choice really.

Good point. Thanks!
Thanks, this was a huge help.👍🏻

I've XXL Nolan helmet found only panniers big enough use be 40litre boxes.
Hello, please can you tell me what the rough width of both fitted to the bike? Thank you
They look awesome

No, thats the whole point of having lock cylinders and keys. Can't open or remove them when locked
@@DigitalJeremy Oh I see. Thanks for this info. big help
Max recommend speed with the panniers?
Triumph recommends not to exceed 80 mph (130 km/h).
Hi, are the panniers wider than the front of the bike/handlebars
The panniers are very close to the same width as the handlebars. They might be an inch or two wider at most.
Awesome 🔥
Thanks 🔥
Why would you open the panier, take your stuff and go? Why wouldn't you take your pannier and go? They are easily removable right?
You can definitely take the pannier with you if you choose to do so.
Can these be installed on Trident 660?
No, these are designed specifically for the Tiger Sport 660 model only.
do they leak in the rain?
I didn't get any water in them during a bike wash but I wouldn't trust anything valuable in there during a storm. The weather strip isn't very thick.
where did you order from ??

Feedback on the impact of the panniers on handling at highway speeds would be greatly appreciated!
So far, the panniers have been great on the highway. I haven't really noticed a difference in handling with them installed vs riding without them.
you got the small washer on the wrong side. The smallest washer goes on the side of the nut.
Extra cylinders come with the bike? Really?
I think you are wrong on the use of the spacers
Same type of fixing as Kawasaki use.
