Thanks. I just bought a 1996 Yamaha G14AP. I have been unable to get it into neutral. Can you tell me how to do that? I have zero experience with golf carts but I just complete a marine engine repair class so I know a little about gas engines. Thanks again.
sorry for the delay answering, missed the notification. Your forward and reverse lever is mechanical operated. To find neutral place it i n the middle.
I have a G8 Yamaha gas golf cart and I can't find very many year specific videos on it. I took the choke cable and the carburetor cable off and then forgot to put them back on let it sit for a while and now I don't know where what goes where
I looked at your cables and they looked similar to the g29, On the carburetor cable there should be two connecting spots, the one closest to the engine is the throttle, ther one closest to the front of the carburator should be the choke. To verify this turn the front one and look inside your carburetor and it should close the chamber. The other end of the cable gets attached to your governor on your transmission and there should be another cable coming from the gas pedal to the the governor on the transmission. You can go to www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-yamaha/25073-service-manual-g8-gas-yamaha.html Hope that helps
Hello, just wanted to thank you for all these great videos you have posted they have saved me a lot time. I have a question for you. I recently purchased a 2011 g29. I replaced the rear axle bearings and now I have a small oil leak on the drivers side axle. Is there some kind of seal I should have replaced also?
Yes there is a oil seal you can place in axle tube just before the bearings. Your inside oil seal is bad. But DONT open up the gear box this oil seal will fix your problem. I am at work will send you the part number when I get home. Super easy fix
ok here we go. you need to do one side at a time so you don't lose oil. you need to remove the axle again. clip ring and i use a dent puller with the same nut as the axle nut works great. after pulling the axle out install a oil seal part# 28X42X8 oil seal. the guys at the oil seal place will know these numbers. its about the size of a silver dollar. insert in the axle tube. slowly tap it in, keeping it straight. when you feel it in tight. run silicon around the out side of the oil seal. oil the axle up then replace it. be careful you need to go through 2 oil seal. the new one and the old one on the inside. tap tell bearing seats into place. you will need to check your oil level in the tranny. tranny plug is under your golf bag seat the black one. after you do both sides if needed add oil to the correct level. its when it almost runs out. i hope this helps. if anyone needed part # i have the dealer part catalog and have been working on the drive for about 5 years.
Not enough detail. Clips? What kind? Plate? Details. You need to be closer with your camera.
I just bought a 2010 gas Yamaha Drive! Love it! Thanks for the videos! I learned a few things! Keep up the good work!

Try tightening first or replacing the starter generator belt. I also recommend replacing your starter generator brushes.
