The worst... unironically cheesy... and one of the reasons why the Seattle sound was so welcome and used as a weapon to help show bands like Damn Yankees the exit as far as popular culture. I still can see in my head the nuge making silly Arena rock out faces during an overblown solo to a shity ballad

The best solo ever , my top 5 for sure , is one of Y&T frontman Dave M and his lead guitar layered solo in the song “ Rescue Me “ , live “ was so close to the studio tuned LP track Rescue Me version , but I’ll take either .
I’m going old school here with The Cars left handed legend Elliot Easton on , “you’re all I’ve got tonight “ most definitely a classic and the school trained genius that made the Cars , a lot say Ben Orr ( RIP ) , but without those licks off Ocasek’s writing , the Cars never woulda made it as Ric and Ben were like 30 when they all made it big in 78’ , just my opinion . Thanks

We were assigned to them to help bring them up to strength. Anyway, I was a tank driver and since I was in Delta company, I named my tank "Damn Yankee" (written on the gun tube, and on my driver's hatch) because 1) I liked the band and 2) I thought it would be funny since I was a Maryland boy surrounded by a bunch of Alabamans.

Maybe the volume pot on his Byrdland is stuck on 11.

He needed a wang-bar for the DY stuff. I also love his American flag Les Paul.

It's not John Calender, it's ko-lod-ner, stress on the middle sylable. Damn, it painful to listen to you mispronounce his name time and time again, especially since he was one of the biggest A&R guys in the 80's.

His mispronunciations betray his lack of prior knowledge. This guy is learning all of this stuff from Wikipedia for the first time and cranking out these videos. More power to him for having a successful UA-cam channel, but he is clearly not very knowledgeable about Rock history.

@@godfatherNYC - Right!? He also identified Brad Gillis as Jack Blades in the Night Ranger picture! 😆
Hint: Know whatcha talkin' bout before ya speak it and that way you avoid looking like you don't know yer subject! 😂🤣

I'll echo a previous response, I came to comment the very same thing. It's a little disturbing repeatedly hearing Kalodner's name pronounced like that. Get a little knowledge on what your subject is dude!!

I saw them on a college campus when they were gaining popularity. It was a good concert & I thought they would stay together. Sad that they ended their band.
