Born in 67'. We had a loaded rifle behind the front door of our house. None of us kids even considered taking that gun and using it on people who wronged us. We were taught from an early age what guns are and aren't for. What they aren't for is settling disputes. They're for protecting you and your's.
When I was in high school we kept shotguns in our trucks during hunting season so we could go hunting as soon as school let out. Never once did it cross our minds to use them if we had a dispute. That's what fists were for

Actually, that's where you are wrong. In countries with heavy gun laws. If you get caught with an illegal gun. You go to prison for 5 years. So a lot of criminals rather not get caught with them since the penalty is so high. Also, it becomes really hard to find a gun to buy on the black market. Because the underground gun dealers have to be extremely careful. Because the penalty for getting caught selling guns illegally is 25 years. So what happens is if you manage to find a gun for sale. It will be $5000. So most petty criminals can't even afford that. ANd the one criminals who do carry are high rank drug dealers. For protection during deals. No civilians get killed by those type of guys. Trust me. I've been in that world my entire life.

Yes! Most pickup drivers at my high school, all had gun racks in their truck with rifles in them and ammo in the glove compartment. When I was around 10 years old, someone kept breaking into our house at night while me and my family slept. One time they set a fire. Another time they spray paint threatening messages on the walls such as "the kids look so peaceful in their beds" and "did you enjoy your shower (my mom's name)?". Well my parents were separated and it was just my mom taking care of us at that time but my dad kept a couple of rifles there for us. So my mom sat at the kitchen table with all of the lights off and a rifle in her hands for a few nights. And sure enough they tried to break in again but my mom was ready and shot him as he came through the window. I slept through the whole thing but when I woke up in the morning the police were still at my house and a trail of blood in snow behind my house into the woods was so awesome to see. We were all so stressed leading up to that day. No more break ins after that.

liam symes I’m in my final semester studying Finance. Honestly, I agree that college is a huge waste of time. The 4 years I’ve been here I’d say only about 20% of it is actually valuable and good to know in the real world. You think I’d learn more about stocks and smart investments. Instead, I learn formulas and how to plug numbers into those formulas. It really pisses me off because there is literally a calculator that does it for you. Your teacher let’s you have a cheat sheet, therefore, it’s not like you ever remember any of the shit you learn for the test. College is a scheme for the government to take your money and for jobs to “see if you have mental discipline & can complete “tasks.” Shit the first two years of college was just a review of what you learn in high school.
Lots of people don’t know how to swim, so they stay away from the pool. But when people grab you and throw you in the deep end against your will, people saying “you should have learned to swim” does nothing. I had a pretty sizable network of people who were conservative and there were clubs that catered to conservative students as well. That Piers Morgan interview was partly done at a gun range here in Katy, TX. Ted invited him to shoot a fully automatic machine gun, which is legal to rent on site. I talked to one of the guys that works at that gun range some time later. They said Piers LOVED shooting it. Though, he wouldn't admit it on air.

For example, going to jail sure was an eye opening learning experience. People should learn what the college experience is like, and what jail is like. Mtpimenta some people are just more innovative than others. There are thousands of fields of studies that don’t always involve creating things. School isn’t just about learning how to put a rocket on the moon. It can be about learning in general. You can get a general studies degree and learn some math, some science, some history, and be more knowledgeable overall. Or you can choose to specialize in a skill, e.g. people who invent things or research a specific topic in depth. Educations is never a bad thing, and people who say so are either full of themselves or they couldn’t make it.

Actually only the first part of your statement is true. The second amendment doesn't actually do anything to promise the supply of ammunition, just the right to have a firearm. If you copy the second part of your quote and do a little reverse searching on google there are countless credible fact checking sites that prove it inaccurate.
This means you can use guns to protect yourself from police, judges, prosecutors, etc. The second amendment gives people a way to fight against mass incarceration, but it involves killing police and judges. Truth...I don't sugar coat

Besides informed responsible citizens having weapons on them to protect those who don't, we need parents that will sit down and have actual conversations with their kids. Have relationships with their kids. Tell their troubled kids "it's ok if you need help. There are ways we can help you not feel like this. You don't have to take your frustrations and mental health issues out on other people. Let's work together." But not enough parents, teachers, therapists, friends are willing to hold people accountable. They'd rather bury their head in the sand and pretend everything is fine, but everything is not fine!

I live in Georgia where we can go through Hunters safety in school and could even bring a shotgun to school if it stayed on a gun rack in your truck and you notified the school a day ahead of time. About 30 minutes from me is a town called Kennesaw, Ga where guns were made mandatory for people over 18 that did not have a violent felony. This action made crime drop something like 98%, you can actually google this.
Kennesaw ranks in the top 5 safest places in GA. 4 other Municipalities have since followed their example. Nucla, CO. Nelson, GA. Gun Barrell City, TX Virginia, UT.

Yes they will, but it's about accessibility, whether you can go down to Walmart and buy a semi-automatic assault rifle that can fire 30 rounds a minute with only 5 pounds of pressure to end lives in double digits vs a person who has to buy an illegal weapon by association to carry out an anti-social act. Because the underground gun dealers have to be extremely careful. Because the penalty for getting caught selling guns illegally is 25 years. So what happens is if you manage to find a gun for sale. It will be $5000. So most petty criminals can't even afford that. ANd the one criminals who do carry are high rank drug dealers. For protection during deals. No civilians get killed by those type of guys. Trust me. I've been in that world my entire life.

When I was around 10 years old, someone kept breaking into our house at night while me and my family slept. One time they set a fire. Another time they spray paint threatening messages on the walls such as "the kids look so peaceful in their beds" and "did you enjoy your shower (my mom's name)?". Well my parents were separated and it was just my mom taking care of us at that time but my dad kept a couple of rifles there for us. So my mom sat at the kitchen table with all of the lights off and a rifle in her hands for a few nights. And sure enough they tried to break in again but my mom was ready and shot him as he came through the window. I slept through the whole thing but when I woke up in the morning the police were still at my house and a trail of blood in snow behind my house into the woods was so awesome to see. We were all so stressed leading up to that day. No more break ins after that.

The 4 years I’ve been here I’d say only about 20% of it is actually valuable and good to know in the real world. You think I’d learn more about stocks and smart investments. Instead, I learn formulas and how to plug numbers into those formulas. It really pisses me off because there is literally a calculator that does it for you. Your teacher let’s you have a cheat sheet, therefore, it’s not like you ever remember any of the shit you learn for the test. College is a scheme for the government to take your money and for jobs to “see if you have mental discipline & can complete “tasks.” Shit the first two years of college was just a review of what you learn in high school.

School isn’t just about learning how to put a rocket on the moon. It can be about learning in general.
