Great rundown of the Siegfried. I love how you broke down what to do in the ship and that you have to play more conservative with this unique cruiser. I thought you did an excellent job Vann on the clip of the potato game and then the succession of wins following. Keeping your eye on the map and holding back like you said is going to allow you to push later in a match and catch people off guard. :)
As a majority cruiser player, for me it's the initial position I take and the first few turns and engagements that set the tone for the entire match. Because you can't hide a Siegfried very easily, it becomes even more important to get the opening of the match right. Whether your team has the patience to not melt in the first 4 minutes is what you can't control, though! Thanks for the comment and for watching! I hate the thought of all of the Siegfrieds that are probably rusting in port right now!
I can't wait till we can cross play division in this game, I am the CV player you didn't know you needed. Today I got my first 200k damage in a CV in the Japanese tier 5 carrier. I am averaging 65k plus now. As far as this ship I love your tips. But tbh even my Darkside Massachusetts is being ignored these days because the skill level of CV players are just so lacking the basics of what their role is and how to play it. As always love the videos keep it up!
That is amazing - keep up the good work! I haven't seen anyone post higher than around 85K, so you are obviously working it out. I have some competing priorities right now (travel soccer with my younger daughter and work), but am hoping to start working on carriers soon. I was also waiting for the tier III MM to settle down since I am not planning on skipping ahead. And as for cross play, it will be awesome when we get it! Looking forward to divving up at some point. Thanks for watching and good to hear from you!
Do you love or hate your Siegfried? Do you still own her or did you sell her? How are you supposed to play a ship that isn't really a battleship or a cruiser? Siegfried stands alone in many ways and brings up a lot of interesting questions! And she can be really fun or really frustrating depending on how you try to play her. In this video, we talk about what makes her more challenging than most ships, and how making a few key changes in tactics that can yield some really good results on the whole and make her a valuable ship in your fleet! But be aware, cruiser life comes with plenty of disappointing games, too, because it can be hard to carry a disorganized team in a ship with fragile armor!
Missed out on Siegfried as I was grinding arena at that time, any way do you think much of these tips could pass over to Alaska? My thinking is buffing mostly agility so I do not get caught by the bbs. as much.
I hate that they make you choose between Campaigns and Arena. For Alaska, I run Aiming Systems, Damage Con, Concealment, and Reload for Mods. Norman Scott is my USN cruiser commander for pretty much all of my CA/CL's. He is currently skilled with Beyond Range, Igniter, Armed and Ready, Steer Clear, and Equilibrium of Power (which I sometimes switch out to Refill Station or Fully Packed). So Steer Clear is my commander agility upgrade, basically, because Alaska doesn't have the best handling, for sure! If I start playing her more, I would potentially switch out Damage Con for Propulsion, too. I honestly, don't play a ton of Legendary tier yet, because I am not a fan of the Matchmaking!
I have a full stealth build on mine using AL Graf Spee. I just had a great match where I charged an Iowa in open water from 16km away and got the kill using techniques you showed in this video (and lived). How can I send it to you.
Nice job! You can definitely take down some of the big fish if you are in good 1v1 situations! Someone else just posted about that Commander and build on my Reddit post this afternoon and it sounds like a good one. I am probably going to switch Tennant back to Lemmonier, who was my original inspiration in that slot. If you have the game file, you could post it on the Legends Discussion or Brags on our Discord server (VannKraken Gaming). This should be a valid invite link... discord.gg/MSkSW48j.

I love Siegfried. Most unique cruiser at the tier.
Can have some awesome games in that boat when the conditions are right! Thanks for watching!
Another great video from the vannkraken cooperation
Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment - appreciated, as always!
I have enjoyed the sig. Great content, keep the camera rolling.
Thanks for your feedback and I agree that the more I play her the more I enjoy the ship!
