    Very well explained, liked the reasoning behind using hollow elastic down the edge. Many thanks for an informative video.

    Enjoyed watching that again Andy. Works well at Monks lake in Kent where I believe you won a fish o mania qualifier.
    Only thing I do different is the corn you use is£3 a tin, I buy Aldi corn at 40p a tin and get banoffee flavouring at £3 from Amazon which does does many tins.

      An extremely effective bait combined with a flavour that is part of our bait range that a lot of people have confidence in. Andy does also say there are lots of options including cheap(er) Supermarket corn available.

    Hi just wondering how come Andy was fish 11 down the margin

    • @Sonubaits
      @Sonubaits  3 роки тому

      Hi Adam,
      A combination of things really. Firstly, because it is an open water lake there isn't really anywhere the fish can run to and should a fish attempt to run to the middle of the lake a softer elastic will result in less hook pulls or breakages. Also, the average stamp in the lake is between 2.5lb and 4lb with a few 5lb and 6lb bonuses with very few fish much bigger. He could have stepped up another grade to a 13 and may well have done during a match to speed up the time it took to get each fish in. But during a pleasure session there wasn't the need.

    Thank you, great tutorial. Hadn’t thought of hair-rigging corn. Will certainly give it a go in the margins 🥳👍👍

    Curious to know why Andy has that extra elastic at the puller end! Is there a video on why his top kits are set up that way and also great to see using light elastics in those situations.. id be terrified going less than a 13 Dura slip for fish of that stamp hah

    • @Sonubaits
      @Sonubaits  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Jake,
      It's so that he has more elastic and therefore if a fish was to go on a big run he is less likely to be bottomed out and therefore suffer breakages and lost fish. The puller bead allows him to set his elastic at the correct tension and under normal strain it doesn't pull through, however if a fish does pull hard it will slip through the bead to allow for more stretch.

      Hi Sean,
      Andy probably went to use the restroom at some point during the day and forgot to put his bib 'n' brace on for those two clips in the montage. We'll try and remind him next time... 😳

      Or to put it another way.... I am the Witch-finder General and you are accused of necromancy. What the bloody hell would it matter if he disappeared and came back as a girl? He fished, he instructed you as he fished, he did his bit for Sonubaits, and hopefully you were entertained. What on earth do you want? He's not on trial!
