Very nice video! I'm confidence with paste fishing in Belgium but your tips to fish with paste in very shallow water improves my knowledge about paste fishing a lot.
Absolutely brilliant episode Joe. I feel a lot more confident about trying to fishing paste. Great detail about mixing, floats to use and bite indication.
Just used the chocolate orange paste for the first time at my local fishery had a brilliant day, going to use the power scopex next hopefully with the same results
Hi Martin, They are usually available from most tackle shops, they are a Korum Blob and they come supplied on wire, the it's just a case of passing your mainline through the loop in the wire and sliding onto your mainline. Just keep it in place with a line stop or Stotz.
You make it look so easy Joe! I spend most of the session worrying about the paste coming off! I’m guessing it’s all about confidence? I’m definitely going to try cutting the float down, fishing over depth with the float led on the surface! What’s the reason for colouring the top of the float black? Is it so you can see indications?
Can you recommend a pole for paste fishing? I was thinking about the Preston Edge Monster Margin 10m Pole Package? Which one is used in this vid? A very good vid btw!
Hi Geoff, Yes for deeper water like where Joe fishes at a top kit plus one. Two No8 just helps the float to sit upright and also reduces the buoyancy of the float slightly so it isn't constantly trying to pull the hook out of the paste. :)
Hi Benjamin, No reason why not, just as Joe advises in this video, feed heavy baits to complement your paste. Hemp being his go to choice. Ideally you want to be fishing it where the bottom is hard and not too silty as this will help with more positive bites.
Joe one of the best at teaching such a calm chilled out attitude fantastic video mate
This channel and the Prestons one are the two best fishing channels on UA-cam. Packed full of good stuff.
Just getting into pole fishing and watched a few videos and got my first pole and these videos help me so much thanks sonubaits

Absolutely brilliant episode Joe. I feel a lot more confident about trying to fishing paste. Great detail about mixing, floats to use and bite indication.

Hi Joe, when fishing down the edge of depth how do you know if the paste is still on if the float is laying flat
thank you joe a very well explained video of my favourite way of fishing, 😎😎👌
hi great video ...what sort of feed would you use if the fishery doesn't allow groundbait or hemp cheers
Nice vid Joe will be having a go next time on bank.
Great again Joe.
HI Joe, you said you were fishing top kit + 1 in front of you. What lengths were you fishing in the left and right margins?
Joe great video a really silly question but I bet others are thinking it too. Do you Just plumb up the Korum Blob like a normal float?
Great vid will defo try the polly ball
Brilliant video Joe. Just one question please. Are you tying hook direct to line or using a hook length ?
First watch great tips and footage super 👍

Mainly if bright conditions colouring black can help yes
Great viewing Joe!
Lovely :) Great video guys !
i want to try this type of fishing i always use method feeder
How much was the total weigh in? I'm interested as this wasn't shown. I'm imagining over 150Ib ?
How do you detect lift bites with the blob?
Can you recommend a pole for paste fishing? I was thinking about the Preston Edge Monster Margin 10m Pole Package?
Which one is used in this vid? A very good vid btw!
I have the 10m edge monster and fish paste in the margins with no problems
2 No 8s take the float down to the bottom of the bristle. Is that where I want it to be before the paste takes in down slightly?
Hi Geoff,
Yes for deeper water like where Joe fishes at a top kit plus one. Two No8 just helps the float to sit upright and also reduces the buoyancy of the float slightly so it isn't constantly trying to pull the hook out of the paste. :)
Awesome as usal
Can paste be frozen and reused
Yes it can :)
@@Sonubaits nice one thanks for your quick reply
thank andy findlay for this one
Why not fish the blob both swims ?
It just skates around a little too much in the slightly deeper water
He did say why
It’s an expensive method that paste fishing. I did catch very well, but… not for everyone.
Can you fish paste in over 6ft of water?
Hi Benjamin,
No reason why not, just as Joe advises in this video, feed heavy baits to complement your paste. Hemp being his go to choice. Ideally you want to be fishing it where the bottom is hard and not too silty as this will help with more positive bites.
@@Sonubaits thanks for getting back to me appreciate it 👌
