Love paste, nearly all year round and any depth with various textures and flavours, hits every type of carp and practically every fish in the lake will go for it, handy to fish without over feeding the peg when ever im being abit old school with the feed 😂
Especially that method, it needs a name and “the slop shop” would be appropriate, it’s a fish a second when it goes right it’s honestly the most eye opening way of feeding ive seen
Cheers for the content Jay lad! Quick question, as the attraction of the paste or supercrush going in seems to be the indication of the fish being stimulated to feed, why not use a different hook bait, less prone to falling off, an expander, a banded or lassoed bait? Thanks 😊
A banded pellet can be a fantastic hookbait for this method. But on its day or even for certain spells during a day when the fish get used to intercepting the slop feed, a paste hookbait can outperform everything else. That's not to say other hookbaits won't/don't work - they certainly do and paste on the hook definitely won't be for everybody.
I know your using one to one paste. But to make it stiff enough not to use a pole pot would you say it’s better to mix it one part paste to half a part water?
Worth using that as a starting point. Because you're only using a small paste hookbait it clings on very well and therefore it can still be quite soft yet get out without a pot.
"Fishing with less than a fiver's worth of bait," - well yeah, if you're only counting the bag of paste, and already have a bag of crushed expander from a previous session.
I’ve had some great days fishing on commercials using just a loaf of Audi bread 45p blended and mixed with a cup of hemp and water, 2 slices of bread for punch and a tin of Audi corn 50p. Catching Big carp, tench and bream and skimmers on the pole.
Great vidio Jamie I love past fishing will give it a go next time on the bank thanks thight lines
Cracking video as usual Jamie, keep em coming..
Cheers Thomas, we will!

Always add it too the water and you should be good
I thought you had a curry turd in't bait tray by the thumbnail 😮
'Baby poo' is what Jamie likes to call it :')

Mixed up half a bag of paste and 1/3 of a bag of groundbait and had half of that left at the end.
Cannot stand the new pro bring back the old f1
theres no way there is less than a fivers worth of bait there, who you trying to kid ?
Third of crushed expander = £2.66
Third of haze = £1.66
Paste = £3.99
Only used half a bag of paste
1/3 bag groundbait
1/3 Haze
@@Sonubaits still more than a fiver
You need more that 5 quids worth of bait on commercial. even pleasure fishing. 5 quid in winter easy. More like 30 quid in summer
