I hear people say it's to expensive but they will pay the same price for a high end tablet. You can get more work done on this it runs Linux, you get the app store and you don't have to pay extra for a keyboard. Without a doubt we'll worth the price. And your getting about 7 years support, but those thousand dollar tablets about 2 or 3 years. Great review.
For a Chrome book this is an excellent choice. It seems to be the best out there since there qppears to be no other to match this at this price range at this time that I am aware of. Display, camera, keyboard, and build are excellent. I guess that the PC version is not that impressive since there are other PCs at its price range which one can compare it to. Excellent review.
My 2017 Pixelbook is still a champ and continues to impress me. I see no reason to upgrade for $1,000 until the HP Dragonfly goes on sale. If this was priced at $700 or so, it'd be an instant buy.
I absolutely love these premium Chromebooks, Although i won't buy one personally, because i don't need a premium device personally, a nice mid range device suits my needs.
Gorgeous bright display, clear 1080p webcam quality as well as the internal mic. I would suspect that Chromebook lovers are not really interested in upgrading their computer so this might not be an issue. The audio quality of the internal speakers of the HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook are very good and yes, perhaps better than the Windows variant but still falls short of the Apple MacBook Pro's audio quality which is fuller in my opinion. Limited port availability and the fact that you cannot upgrade this are Big negatives in my book. But as I said, this might not be an issue for some. Brilliant review Andrew!! 👍😁
Sir Andrew the Magnificent, how do you do! I need help, suggestions for a laptop in the USD1500 range, and my priorities are: -Windows machine -Good build quality -Good battery life I hope the specs included are 16gb ram, 512 gb storage. Doesn't have to be a 2 in 1. Preferably 14" or 15.6". Dont need dedicated graphics. Dont need OLED, FHD will work just fine.
@@mattpecevich3749 chrome unboxing says 8 to 9 hours can be had at 40% brightness... equivalent to roughly 300 nits, at that level. I'm interested in this but still cant bring myself to pay more than $5-$600 for a chromebook, though I really like them.
My problem is that this device has no x-factor even though it's like "perfect" Some devices with x-factor i. Pixel, pixelbook ii. Duet2/3 iii. Samsung Chromebook Pro
It would be amazing as well If they offered this in a 16 inch for like $100 or $125 more I would get it. But ima gonna get this one in White hope to see Asus Create a premium chromebook
Inadequate port selection, no high-end Core i7 CPU option (and don't say that's not needed with Chrome OS... that's simply not true, more powerful and faster is ALWAYS better), and what about the issue of a privacy shutter for the front-facing camera? Despite all the hoopla this machine clearly falls short, it doesn't make the grade as 2023's worthy successor to the Google's Chromebook Pixel line which, sadly, has been phased out. Really unfortunate they've "cheaped out" and are not doing EVERYTHING they could to provide really premium, top-of-the-line hardware for Chrome OS, the fastest and by far most stable mainstream OS on the market today.
Nice to see and hear this review, but one very disappointing thing about Chrome Books now. My daughter uses two ChromeBooks, 15" for local typing and 13" for taking to University. on Intel Pentium and on Arm. Main feature there had to be, when I selected them, Chrome Book has to bee fanless. And they are. Morden version of Chrome books are equipped with fan cooling system, that annoys. Power consumption, possible nose, weight. Ultra performance, on ChromeBooks? doubtfully. These devices are for some very specific cases where performance mostly is not needed but customer has to pay for it.

I'm not an Apple user but I've always thought they got it right with 16 : 10 displays and I'm happy to see more Chromebooks adopting this.

I have been trying to find out when it will be available in the UK. Looks like a great machine. Brilliant review as always Andrew.
Very gorgeous in both colors

SAME! Still a daily user of mine....still freakin love it, too!
I was looking at getting a used pixel book but I was excited for a new one from Google. Unfortunately that got cancelled and this the next best thing
@@fadedcrayon4764 It is the next best thing and I was in the same boat as you. I just wish it were cheaper for being a "Chromebook".
Thank you for your video, you're doing great ! cheers
Thank you too!

To me it looks better than the Dragonfly pro chromebook elite
Great video. Still waiting for the aforementioned review :/
Can someone take care go through a Chromebook Keyboard setup like what does each key do what are the two up keys ?
Can headphones be used with a type C connector?
How does this compare to the elite?
It would be new versions with 15" or 16" in 2023 ?
Andrew, please advise if/how can this be purchased or sent to the UK as so far it is only available on the USA HP website? Thanks!
Not sure unfortunately
Damn Bout time

I have that 1235u in a Samsung(Windows) and battery life is trash with google apps. Looking forward to seeing if they fixed it in the Chromebook.
The verge said battery life was awful on this but I’m hoping they were wrong.

Any reason you didn't show the metrics for this laptop's display, which is something that you normally show?
I don’t have a way to measure it as my colorimeter software is not compatible
I want one so bad

It will be better if you use bezeless monitor like from Tru-Vu or Stealth or others
Can anyone tell me what the name of that game was he was showing?
It was the 3DMark wildlife extreme gaming performance test

13th view😍😍
Why the hell doesn't it have pen support....while it's a touch screen

HP sounded way better.
Too fancy for a ChromeBook to me.
🤡
Not upgradeable = not interested
WTF, no headphone jack
Subscription Care Pack better come with a foot-rub, mani/pedi, and a butler named Alfred. I can't fight crime without HP's pampering.
