Dragon Tales was a really sweet and calm show
Also, it was MUCH more successful than any of the other preschool shows mentioned, and it's probably the only one that most people watching this would have even heard of.
@dragontales1999 You're absolutely right! I've probably seen most of the series with my own kids from around this time!
@dr.animaction yeah it was huge at one point during the early 2000s. There was a Macy's Thanksgiving Day balloon of Cassie, and it even had three live stage shows.

I like Dilbert comic and cartoon series and I wish that a third season of the serie would happen. 😀👍
The PJ'S is very funny and Eddie Murphy is excellent as the voice of Thurgoode Orenthal Stubbs. 🤣👍
Happy Tree Friends, I do remember seeing this at middle school when someone next to me was watching one of the episodes in computer class.
It was a good laugh and one of the reasons why I made sure to get to the computer room early before the teacher arrived during that time in my life.

Futureama got got a bad time slot because episodes were often cut short or outright preempted because the Cowboys or the Packers would decide to go into overtime
@joshuamountz6891 That, and it came out during the cancel happy period for Fox when every show was getting axed too soon!
Great entry. Chalk me up for Futurama! 1999 has turned out to be a loaded year and there is still part 3 to conclude the year & decade 🎉
@Straightened-Slinky. No doubt there's some great stuff here to close out the decade/millennium!
Futurama is up there with the Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park when it comes to funny animation with an edgy adult humor that was well within it's time during the 90s and early 2000s.
Perhaps the successor to the Simpsons Seasons' 1 to 7 during the time when it was best and unlike the Simpsons, Futurama's demise (cancellation) was perhaps a blessing in disguise as each episode is well worth a watch even to this day.
@TBoneTony Very true, and even the reboots/returns have brought some great episodes!
Still waiting for Futureranma 1/2.
Futureama is brilliant my favorite character is Bender the drunken robot 🤖. 😀👍
Please Save My Earth probably aired on a PBS affiliate in Texas that did a bunch of subbed anime, including Evangelion, Tenchi Muyo and Serial Experiments Lain. I highly recommend the history of Evangelion home video releases video duology by pkmncrystalpepsi for more context. As for the Adult Swim shows, they originally aired on networks like UPN and the WB , but they did poorly there, didn't get their complete runs shown and languished in obscurity until Adult Swim gave them new life

I did watch some of Home Movies when my brother and I started watching Adult Swim in 2001. He liked it more than I did. Futurama is the big one, though I would have been happy if it had ended with The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings.

As for "The Judy Show", one questionable source says it was a compilation of 70 7-minute shorts. With the time period, it may have been part of a larger show or an in-between late at night or super early in the morning. Still researching
I could have sworn I heard of it, but could be Mandela effect.
@@RyanofAndor There was a "The Judy Jetson Show" back in the late 80s that focused on Judy and a couple of girlfriends being a rock band (or so numerous sources state. I don't remember it at all.)
@TenNoZeorymer72 Part of me thought it sounded familiar too, but that was probably either because of the earlier Judy Jetson show or the "Rocking with Judy Jetson" series.
@@dr.animaction Could be that, and given it was the Internet age, any lack of evidence is significant. Not conclusive, but significant.
I only know of the Hippos from the kids section of the video.
I found that to be one of the best ones even if I knew I was way past that target audience.
But if you have younger family members, this is a decent show.
@TBoneTony My own kids watched a lot of these when they were really young, so I actually remember quite a few!
Futurama is my favorite show that Groening has done. I stopped watching The Simpsons around season 5 (while still watching the yearly Halloween episodes), but I devour anything Futurama related. For years I've said "Good news everyone!" when entering a room with my friends. I still watch Family Guy, but it's mostly out of habit at this point. The characters are legitimately the worst people to ever exist (maybe second only to American Dad), and that sort of grates on you over time. Peter does something completely selfish and stupid, everybody gets mad, he apologizes and says he learned a lesson, then reset everything, nobody really learned anything, and do it all again next week. While it can still be pretty funny, like The Simpsons, it's really long in the tooth by now.
@Dorelaxen I do enjoy Family Guy, but like you only in limited doses. Love all things Futurama though!

@@dr.animaction I didn't even realize that there was going to be a part 3 of this year in animation (1999), I thought there was going to be only two parts of 1999 (just like there was for 1995-98). Wow, oh wow!
