Just outside of Death Valley, California, there's a trail that takes you out of the Panamint Valley, up the Argus Range and ultimately to an old tungsten mine known as the Defense Mine. While the trail is for the most part short and easy, there are a few challenging sections along the way that can be a lot of fun if you choose to take them. The biggest obstacle on the trail is known as Waterfall Zero or Zero Fall and, as the name suggests, it's essentially a big dry waterfall made of marble, polished smooth and shaped like a chute. If you're not careful, it's definitely one that can do some real damage. Just past it, there's an optional route to the top known as the Cummings Cutoff and, if you choose to take it, you'll find yourself on a nice length of trail strewn with loose chop and big rocks. In this short video, you'll get to see highlights from a recent run we did up this trail with a total of 8 Jeep JK Wranglers, 6 of which were 4-door Unlimited Rubicon models and 1 of which was a 2-door Sport. We hope you enjoy it. - Авто та транспорт
That was some serious rock and roll! Very impressed that you walked ahead and checked before going in. Smart move!
Death Valley, what a fun place to go Jeeping! You and Cindy are killing it as usual and that mine was bad-ass!
I swear; i get all giddy like a kid in a candy store every time i get a notification you have a new video! its like all i can do NOT to go home from work just to watch it!
A PLUS WORK AS ALWAYS
Watching this video again brings a smile to my face!
LOL!! So glad that you were able to join us on this one
Good attitudes & teamwork, competent wheeling with great footage, and you actually explored the underground workings of your destination! I'll be honest, I'm not into Jeeps or even new rigs in general, but you folks are the real deal. Props to your community!
I got to put this trail on our to do list for sure.looks fun as hell. Don't know how we missed this one.
We did purposefully get another 2012 JK with a 3.6L motor just so that we could be better informed as to what it could do and be familiar with any problems it might have. So far, we love it.
We found this video after making the trip ourselves. I managed to get my stock '85 Toyota pickup on 30's up there by taking the main road, but I almost got caught up on the last section a few times. It's a really great trip that the video does a great justice to! Also hats off to you guys, Zero Fall is slick! Even when I trick my truck out, I don't think it's ever going up that. Thanks for all the videos, I may not be a Jeeper, but it's still a wayallife.
minimack63 cool comment. im so tired of the fued between the different offroad groups. if you wheel it, you deserve respect....period
"I may not be a Jeeper, but it's still a wayallife." I love the way you said that.
Great Video Eddie and Cindy! Stephanie and I had a great time on this run! I almost forgot how tough that trail can be.
Every time I watch your videos, I want to buy a JK - accessorize it and go off roading. Excellent job!
So glad that the two of you were able to join us for this run! :)
I have driven high end race cars on tracks and on roads, but there is nothing more fun than this in vehicle
That Evolution cantilever kit is awesome.
Guys your videos are excellent, can’t stop watching feel like a housewife watching Soap Operas hahahaha.
I did some off-road with my 87 Jeep for several years when I was single but nothing to this caliber.
Now that I’m retiring in 2 years definitely want to get back into it.
It’s like a drug that never left my system.
Hopefully we can hook up even a one time deal it would mean the world to me.
We like the fact that our free, factory fenders bend and tear off as it has proven to prevent body damage. We have seen plenty of Jeeps running tube fenders and even flexible plastic fenders like Xenon's that have done body damage when hit hard. If you want to spend money on something you don't need and risk body damage, it's your Jeep and your choice.
It's a real shame it has to be that way over there. Glad you enjoy our videos.
Looks like a good day on the trail. Just the right pace. Looks like a great bunch of folks to ride with, too.
It really is a fun trail and full of great history
There's always that one guy with one wheel in the air... Ha! Great videos, I've been Jeep guy my entire life, I have a built XJ right now and I've had a TJ, YJ, and a J10 in the past. I'm stoked to watch such excellent driving skills!
Nice video. Good collection of well built jk. Keep up the good times
I think Chrysler should be proud to see people enjoying their vehicles so much.
Beautiful scenery more enjoyable because of the effort required to enjoy it. Great crawling guys :)
You know, there is a better road to the Mine than the one you took. LOL
Nice Video and driving.
LOL!! So glad to hear you like our videos :)
This is really sick. What a energy to do that. Thanks for the videos.Thumbs up.
I really do envy you guys over there. Such unreal trails and the places you get to go and see are amazing, all that history. National Parks & Wildlife Services over here in Australia just believe that the only way to maintain a park is to close it off 100% to the public.
Once again, great video!!!
The EVO Enforcer kit is just a 3" or 4" lift made by EVO MFG. They have the softest most comfortable springs and will give you a great ride on an off pavement.
I love the white rig with the Spyder Locks
Looks great!
Thats what it all about, another great video. We have plently of abandoned mines around Southern Arizona, most of them are very dangerous to enter. Cheers and thanks for your great channel.
You guys are killing me! lol I'm so anxious for the next video series!!!
Coming soon
Great footage, seeing these "Bad Boys", doing what they do best.Would be great to see more of the 2 door footage, and how it compares on some of the more technical stuff.
Once again, I was drawn to "Like" the video before it even started!!
nicely filmed, professionally edited! I enjoyed it a lot!!
Great trip guys! Thanks for sharing!
Man, i've missing these vids of yours ! Yet another excellent video. can't wait for the next one already ! Good job guys =)
Good stuff! You are making my wife and I excited to get back out in the woods! Thanks for these videos. It sure beats reality TV. :)
The run in the beginning of the video is called the "Cummins Cutoff" and the nice bowl you guys went up is known as "Waterfall Zero". I became intimately familiar with this run during the 2011 Panamint Valley Days. I broke both driveshafts and my front passenger side axle shaft about 100 yards from the end where you get back onto the easy way up to the Mine on the dirt road. Now that my CJ7 is back on all 4's again maybe next time your around Ridgecrest I'll try to tag along.
great video!!!! i love how you show the obstacles before you hit them. i think i will start doing that too
Thanks, we're so glad you liked it!
The Yellow 4-door is running about 3.5" of lift with 37" tires and yes, it is a daily driver.
Most of the tires are Toyo MT's and they never look very aired down due to their super thick sidewalls. But, I can assure you that they were running at about 12 psi that day.
im so pumped to see a 2 door jk ripping it up!!
We appreciate it - thank you.
wow! I have watched way to many videos and really enjoyed yours keep m coming.
Thank you
Great video! Love the Jeep life!
Thank you, we're so glad that you like them :)
Your skills and knowledge is truly brilliant, great video :)
We're so glad you enjoyed it :)
Excellent video, wayalife videos are what inspired me to get my first jeep, 93 YJ, now i have a 98 TJ and am looking at a JK in the near future. Hope to wheel with your group one day.
We were all running about 10 psi. Toyo's don't deflect much even at zero psi due to their super thick sidewalls.
commend you folks for KNOWING what you're doing, thinking the trail out, and then not over-driving your equipment. So many vids on youtube are of young fools trying to ruin their stuff--and not getting 1/2 as far.
Love these videos make me wanna buy a Wrangler so bad!! keep it up!! always looking out for new videos!!
Thank you, we're so glad you enjoyed it :)
Amazing driving and film work!
Awesome vid !!
Very nicely done. Pretty soon I will be on my way to the west for some real wheeling. Keep the videos coming
Great Video! Can't wait to get there myself
I went there back in the early 70's with stock Broncos. Went inside the mine and climbed to different levels. Looks like the road there has taken a hit by mother nature several times. Times were different back then.
That's my experience too. My 4 Dr F350 made it to Lookout no problem, then another trip my F250 made it "most of" the way to Defense Mine. We 60's guys hiked the rest of the way w/o canes or crutches, so we were close.
Wow!! Love hearing from our friends in other countries! :)
Thank you, we really appreciate it.
I usually get bore with jeep off road videos but you hooked me in with yours. The music and scene selection really adds to the fun. Your fast paced editing and unusual shots under, over and around the action are really classy. You make pushing the envelope enticing. Thanks for taking all of the time to create your little masterpiece.
+Death Valley Dazed Thank you, we're so glad that you enjoyed it.
This is our other Jeep. We still have our 2007 white one but sold our Sunburst Orange 2009 to get this new 2012 Dozer.
Very nicely done video.
Seems like an awesome trip u did right there, i hope we get some trails like those here in Colombia, keep the good work and be sure i will be following every WAL video.
Big Wave From Cali, Colombia,
Thanks for sharing another GREAT Video! I am always impressed at your trips and camaraderie that you all have together! :o)
Awsome as always!! Loved it when you filmed inside the mine aswell :D Just keep the videos coming!
Dogs + Jeepin = Goodness
another AWESOME video!
Thanks! We're glad you enjoyed it :)
Thank you.
Great video!
Just factory 3.8 and 3.6 v6 motors. Most of us are running EVO long arms and coil overs with 37" tires
that these is videos that I like Good job wayalife
Love the videos! Y'all need to come out east and hit the trials in PA and NC and VA with RVA rockcrawlers!
awesome looks like a blast!!!!!!!
Nice video. You guys out west have it made. In the south all we have is mud holes, and a few private orv parks. Everything else has been shut down by the tree huggers. Nice jeeps.
So awesome! Let's see some Canadian stuff! You have tons of fans north of the border!
Sorry to say this but after watching your Jeeping videos it is really hard to watch any others!!! Incredible video editing, awesome jeep and great times!
Simply PERFECT Video ! thanks
I will vouch for that. My Creepy Crawlers look over inflated with 5psi, but once they hit a rock, they melt around it. The 3ply and 4ply sidewalls are thick.
Thank you
Great video! Thanks!
Thank you
We want to see some more awesome videos!
A few in our group run an Atlas and they love it. We post up runs on our forum.
Seems like the trail grapplers had the best grip on that slippery stone. I like the nitto trail grapplers and toyos a lot just wish they were not so damn heavy a 37" trail grappler or toyo weighs about as much as a 42" MTR K.
Awesome videos as always. However, if it weren't for Adam representing what appears to be the lone 2 door in the group, they wouldn't be half as enjoyable. Good for him showing how a 2 door CAN hang with the Unlimited crowd.
Not from us. The dozer 2-door is a manual and we've always wheeled a manual - our big white JK is a 6-speed. Well, at least it was. We're doing an LS swap and it'll be an automatic when done but, manuals can do this stuff just fine too.
looks like Toyo open country mt's. They seem to work very well, especially when rubbing rocks. great vid like always
I love this channel!!!
LOL!! We'll do our best to get more out soon.
Great vid, as always... I hope you don't mind I made a shift knob for my tj and engraved wayalife on it... Everyone asks me what's wayalife? I laugh and explain, it always comes back to FREEDOM !
Thanks!
That would be great!
awsome flick, quite entertaining, fast paced and fun to watch, keep up the good work. i wish i had a chance to film some 1.1 crawling, but for now ill stick to filming my 1/10 scale rc rigs.
6 min in and great footage.
Thanks :)
thanks man...awsome video btw!
i want a jeep so bad after watching these videos
Film anything, doesn't need to be polished. You always keep it in interesting and I miss your consistent stuff
Like I said, we have always wheeled manuals and love it but, as you've stated, on the rocks, auto is king. Regarding your breather tube issue, a simple extension would have prevented that.
What made you guys think that was a trail? Crazy, but man, now I really want a JEEP!
Good vids!
