I have over 450 (installed myself) and I use to do it in the bathroom took 5-7 days. Now after 8 months I sit right on the couch. I section my hair in bantu knots & go row by row by touch. No marrying! I can complete them in 2 days with shoulder length high density.

And this is why I gladly hand over $120-150 every 5 weeks for a retie. I can NOT! You hear me!!? HA!! You are amazing at this and so neat. I love watching your process.

@@Gullah_Geechee_Tarot this is true. I started out just living the ceremony of it all. Then, before you know it, as with anything you perform often, it becomes second nature.

Ni Ha You are so right. I loc’d my hair in October. I couldn’t take another session of detangling and twisting. I’m happy with my decision. I went to a loctition because...I would have made a mess out my hair. I love watching microloc videos though. I find them so be so pretty. Good luck to you on your journey!!

Hey, Tay. Have you ever thought of downloading the Iron Webcam app and using your phone and computer to do the reties? It saved me from standing and struggling in a mirror. It was as if I was doing someone else's retie. It was soooo much better than the way I used to do it. I think you will find that it is better than your setup as well. I hereby challenge you! Try it just once and comment me back to let me know what you think. Love the channel. - Until Christ Returns, Lanieda

I just did my first self retie on my Diy micro locs and girl my hands were over it by the end of it. Next time I think I am going to do what you did and do half one day and the other half the next, instead of doing it all in one day. Great video!

There’s a mirror you can get from Lowes that can be screwed into the side wall beside your bathroom mirror. It has an arm that you can pull out. The mirror also pivots. It works perfectly for seeing the back and sides of your hair.

I put tacks in the door(swivel action to see both sides👌🏾)so I could hang my mirror. And clips for days for sectioning off(I learned from accidentally creating some two-headed dragons🥴😆) I was so skeptical about other people in my head cuz I didn’t think they’d be as meticulous as I would. Love your videos. You've done an awesome job installing and maintaining you new locs. I'm considering losing my hair. I was looking at Sister Locs, but my pockets aren't that deep. I've been natural since 2013 and been wearing my hair just wash in goes for the past year. My hair is thinning on the top as I'm menopause and my hormones are in play. I heard the thin Sister locs are a good option, but since I cannot afford those I'm looking at these micro locs. So you've had your locs for 6 month, have they all loced? I saw in your first wash some of the hairline locs came unraveled. Also wondering about using gels or waxes. Do they help hair loc? Please keep the videos of your journey coming. Thanks for inspiring us and keeping us informed!!
