Honestly, you can't tell which locs were combined. That's just how good your stitch work & grid layout is. Your Locs have grown beautifully over the past 2.5yrs. It's been a joy following you along this journey ❤️

Girl. I think you've got the best kept locs around. Your grid is still super clean and the locs have very little frizz and are so even sized. I could sit and admire the beauty all day. Gorgeous 🥰🥰

Your locs are beautiful! My loctitian mentioned that I had a lot of lint in the back. She said not to worry about it and that I would dye it!! I asked her to dye it but she said, girl, you can do it yourself! I love her. She empowers me to take care of the things that I can myself! She's amazing!

Tay you did a OUTSTANDING job from start til now 🤗 5/8/23 coming soon for 3yrs loc 👏🏾👏🏾. I finally after watching your grid video decided to braidloc my hair starting 4/5 and hope to completed 4/10 start my journey and will be my 23yr anniversary 🤗. I don't know how I got unsubscribed. Your update came just in time as I was lallygagging finishing my retie. As of today (Jan 1) I'm 7 months in and 350ish locs.

That build up in the 2 rows in the back is inevitable.....everybody gets it for some reason....I freaked out when first noticed.....

I LOVE your locs they look so good girl. Scalp looks damn good!! I have small build up as well I try to pick it out 😂and I really focus on it when it’s wash day.
Was it build up or lint that can damage your locs if you’re constantly picking them out?I’ll be careful or just dye it
@@milanwrld it’s product buildup (very little) from not using the right products. For my locs it’s best for me to use water soluble products.

I am combining a few of my super small locs as well. I started with 197... now I think I'm around 192. I am 14 months locd. I plan to combine a few more. I am happy with my decision to combine as well. The new combined locs are thicker and stronger and that is good.

How did you prevent your locs from being lumpy or bunching along the shaft?
I do have lumpy locs. They are not super noticeable tho. I never had an issue with bunching along the shaft but I have seen some bunching on my ends.

Tysm! I usually take 2-3 days. I'll do the back on day(s) 1&2 and the front on day 3 😊

Always love seeing your loc updates :) For the build up, I know some have tried AC bath. Is that something that you may consider?

I’ve been following you for a while! I’m 2 years in DIY microlocs. I made the decision to do my own reties, after 2 years. Nobody will take care of your babies like YOU!! SN are those your real nails?? I do remember seeing a video of you doing your nails. ❤❤

I do not braid and band anymore and I would say I retie every 5 weeks.

Can you interlock the combined loc’s into each other so they appear as one loc?
I n a video:✨Try braiding a large number of loc’s together and add a small perm rod on the end of each braid for curly texture and volume.🎉

Congrats on reaching 2.5. Currently just past 25 months microloc. Its weird cause my locs are started to swell now. Do you have the same response? I still have some twists on my hair. Oh. And happy early birthday

I have build up/lint back there as well and i dye it with a rinse a couple times a year and it works out. Your hair looks great.

Your locs are absolutely beautiful. My microlocs were installed on June 2nd 2020 so we are right around the same length of time in this loc journey. I never see frizz in your locs, PLEASE tell me the secret. Mine are SUPER frizzy especially in the crown of my head and it drives me nuts. Do you use any gels or other products for reties or after washes?
Hey! I really don't do much. I sleep in a bonnet and dry my hair with a microfiber towel or a t-shirt. I still don't use any products in my hair. I only use water to retie.
Your doingba he'll of a good job. If I we're you I wouldn't allow anyone else to touch them..lol they are doing well with your hands. I don't think anyone would do better for your hair.m

Good question. I don't do anything to them. They just haven't closed.
Do you have to ware a bun or pulled back hair do? If so maybe that's why you have a bit of build up..
