My experience with the squares has been very frustrating, They don't maintain a connection to either the twinkly app or apple HomeKit. It can be rectified temporarily by resetting them, but then after being connected for a short bit, they once again become completely non-functional. I'm disappointed because I like the idea in concept, but I cannot figure out why mine don't function properly. I have gone through the steps for reset several times, only to experience the same results each time. I bought 2 5+1 kits. So I have two panels, 18 by 24 LEDs. I'll probably return them both, but I'm bummed because they fit rather nicely. I can get them to run the "default" blue display, which is nice, but I can't have any other functionality with them.
About the same with me too. I bought these to have them to save for when I move soon and I wasn't about to unbox them until I was settled in my new place. I'm glad my curiosity got the better of me and didn't wait any longer before the 30 day refund limit
I love playing with gadgets and new products, and I think the twinkly lights are amazing, instructions suck but I think twinkly developed a great cool product, I have 16 panels and love this lights, I already own Nanoleaf elements and I neaver get tired of them, way to go twinkly.
I keep getting this issue where it doesn’t find any WiFi networks. Or at least that’s what I’m thinking, it just says “Scanning available WiFi networks…” indefinitely. I have 1,000mbps on Eero Pro. I’m stumped and sad /:
I'm thinking about buying them but bestbuy wants 144.00 dollars for 3 of them after tax and 335 after tax for the home kit with the 5 +1 I really want to get them for my room but I will have to save up for them
Reolink would be in the top rung of the DIY ladder and you have to buy their top-end stuff to make it worth it. Alibi is dealer grade and a step above that. Alibi is a much wiser long term investment.
I have the same setup. Anyone knows how to extend to 16 best? If I buy another 2*3, it's 15. Maybe another single controller panel can also work as extension?
You can do 15 per controller square. So the best you can do is place another controller square next to your existing setup. It won’t necessarily be an extension, but you could set the addition square to the same effect. Depending on the effect, it might not be completely in sync.
I wanted to like these but after less than 5 minutes the patterns begin to freeze, half the squares are stuck on one pattern, and the other half of the squares are stuck on another. I already have the Twinky Curtain, I have no real complaints about them but the app itself is frustrating., constantly shutting down and completely disappearing on you. The instruction booklet is so hard to read even a 4X magnifier seems like it has a problem picking up the words. Cord is very small too. Back and forth in email with Twinkly; them wanting me to spend hours more on this with sending reset video process, when i've already tried resetting, deleting and reinstalling, taking apart and back together, and they are acting like I am the first to have issues with the squares
It is strange. They’ve worked flawlessly for me since this video. All my Twinkly stuff has been very reliable. Sorry you’re having such a rough go of it.
Those are very cool! Love the interaction with Theresa!
Nice video, I have a 30 panel set up myself.
Nice! I bet that looks pretty sweet.

Sorry to hear that. I’ve had zero issues. They’ve worked flawlessly since the day I installed them & I use them everyday.

Nice!
i managed to get 14+1 panel second handed from someone online , bought the pack for 160€ , i can't wait to tey them out !
Awesome! Hope you love them!
Instructions are definitely garbage. That is the reason I am here.
Yeah, the instructions are pretty terrible.

Can you link 2 full sets together?

I think you’ll enjoy them once you’re ready. I’m still enjoying them & have since bought more Twinkly products.
What is the total number of squares that can work with one controller?
You can add up to 15 panels on the master panel.
Nice! Seems like a great accent in an office, theater or game room
Perfect for all the above!

can i upload own pics to the twinkly app????
Yes. But it works best if it’s in the form of pixel art.
How does Alibi compare to Reolink for wired cameras? Thanks!
See my other response…
Do you know why there are red dots on mine? It wont show the pictures
On the squares
Sorry, I don’t know.
can it light up a bedroom and replace the bedroom light?
It’s pretty bright, but not quite primary light worthy.
Hey George langabeer I follow your steps from your video mines didn't work I want to know what I did wrong. On mines only five squares have light
Hard to say without seeing what you’ve got going on.
@@GeorgeLangabeer I follow the same layout from your video

I don't get it.. why not buy an extra TV and program it for art.. its the same price.
A TV “programmed for art” can’t do half of what this can do.
Is there always that random stuttering lag when the gif plays?
No there is not. It was just cycling from another effect.
@@GeorgeLangabeer Ajh okay gotcha. Thanks! I just picked up a starter kit. 👏🏼
Nice! You’re welcome!
Great Video! Too expensive!
Thank you! Yeah, they are a little steep.
Seem a little overpriced. I’ll wait for some sort of sale
