@@YEUNGMANCOOKING Thank you, Sir! I wish to receive this free book and buy another cook book you have authored. Will you be kind enough to let me know what I need to do? Thank you.
Hi Will, greetings from India. You made this look delicious and easy to make , especially since Indian dishes can look daunting sometimes with the number of steps. I like how you adapt different world cuisines to your unique style . Your videos are a pleasure to watch.
@ssri1675 The frozen meal comment was unnecessary. Traditional palak paneer has many steps, but this is a faster version is what the person was referring, too.
I made this tonight, following his instructions exactly and it got rave reviews from my family. Definitely making this again. Excellent. BTW, I garnished with roasted cashews and it added a nice touch.
You are the only one I "thumb up" before I even watch the video. I'm doing it WITH CONFIDENCE because you never disappoint. Even my toddler eats what you cook
I am eating this dish as I type. I used a whole container of tofu 1lb (454 g), so used more spinach and spices to adjust to the volume. The only thing I didn't have on hand was fennel seeds and used regular coconut milk, but even with these changes it is really tasty.
I just made this (changing out the avocado oil for your delicious chili oil) and it is just as you described. Glossy delicious and aromatic. Yum-my. I didn’t have enough spinach so I used mustard greens and dandelion greens. It gave it an earthiness that I think you would appreciate. Many thanks for another gorgeous home made dish.
The thing that I’ve always liked about your videos, and who h makes you stand out compared to any other cook online or on tv, is the way you give the description of all the different features of the dish when you taste it at the end, I love the myriad of different adjectives you are able to use ☺️
I want to give you props not only are your recipes delicious and healthy but your professionalism and the way you carry yourself throughout the entire UA-cam video is immaculate. You're doing a great job. Keep it up 😊
As a non-vegan and Mexican myself, I sometimes substitute with meat proteins like chicken or shrimp. I also use different chiles like serranos, or the chili oil from a "salsa macha" instead. In the end, Wil's recipes are a work of art, both in taste and looks that are very adaptable!
I cooked this today and substituted Shallops in place of Garlic, because my teenager can't handle garlic. It is delicious! Better than anything I could ever get in a restaurant. This is sure to become a regular dish in our household. Thank you so much for sharing!!!!
Blanch spinach for 30 seconds in 8 cups water with teaspoon of baking powder to give spinach a brilliant green color. I also use 150 gm spinach and 150 gm kale. I serve it with farro to increase fiber and add some protein.
Wow Will! I just finished making this recipe. I've attempted making Palak a handful of times in the past and have no idea what I was doing wrong, because it was never anywhere close to being this good! All the spices just sing thru the mix in such a nice way. The tomatoes added just the right amount of tangy sweetness to the background, and the chili (I used Serrano), was just the perfect amount of warmth to leave you wanting more. 1 Change I had to make because I forgot to grab coconut cream, was I used regular coconut milk. To get the consistency (in a reasonable time), I took one of our 25.36oz containers of the coconut milk I had on hand and boiled/simmered it down until it looked like the consistency needed.
I usually order this from an Indian restaurant, Came across this video and added my lil twist to it and there was a party in my mouth! My family can't get enough! Thanks for the demonstration
I made this yesterday, the best Palak tofu I eat. I air frier the tofu first for few minutes to dry it out a bit before frying in the oil, the texture at the end was exactly like paneer, a bit chewy like the real think, love it. Thank you for this.
Hi from India, your channel popped up randomly and I am loving the way you cook, so neat and precise. What I love the most is you mentioning the portions of the cooked items. A big shout out to you for that, coz I’ve never seen any cooking channels doing that ❤️
Greetings Will, you rock! I love your voice because it flows so easily with your recipes, it’s so easy to follow you step by step. Thank you for sharing.
Damn - I'm 74 years old & consider myself a good cook - how did I NOT know how to leave the end on the onion when chopping!?!? THANKS!! YOU ROCK!!! ❣️😉
I love watching your beautiful videos! The photography is top notch and your voice is so calming. I made this recipe tonight for dinner. It was delicious!!! It's been added to my saved recipes to make again in the near future. Thank you so much!
Been making it this way for years. Paneer has more texture than flavor, so Tofu easily subs in and is virtually indistinguishable in the final plate. I cut the tofu block into planks about 3/4" thick and lay on baking sheet lined with tea towel, fold over top, place a 2nd sheet on top and weight down. Removing some of the excess water makes space to soak up more sauce.
Thank you, Wil, for this amazing Palak Tofu recipe! As a vegetarian I'm a big fan of the original Palak Paneer. And this is just as good! I used the 365, (Whole Foods brand), firm tofu . As it's almost exactly the same texture of paneer. Fabulous recipe that is now on my meal rotation! 🙏
Thank you again. I have made this recipe many times now and still keep coming back to it. A couple of times I didn't feel like blending the sauce and the meal worked out just fine; just more textures to enjoy.
Omg! Omg!!! You are right, the aroma is out of this world, my neighbors s good smell it!! Lol!! The only thing I did wrong, I add a full can of coconut cream, instead of a cup. (Gonna make this again) Other than that, it was delicious. Thank you for sharing!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Great recipe, one of ny favorites. I like to use frozen spinach though because it is way cheaper, better for storage and doesn't impact the quality... Fresh spinach I usually only use in salads and the like 😊
the greens almost like a curry from scratch, yum. i will try this one for sure, looks amazing and i love almost creamed spinach Stay warm and happy holidays from Montreal Quebec
One of the things i started doing when covid hit - dehydrating greens that were starting to wilt- then i blend them and keep them in a mason jar. Obviously not as good as fresh but they're great to have in the winter when i can't forage for greens.
Will....You've pulled me into the kitchen again!! I had to hook this recipe up, it's simple and as you described it, delicious. I chose to serve it over brown basmati rice, which is a stand alone on its own, in addition to plating it with seared sable fish. You have a gift, keep on inspiring Us. A shot out to you🎉🎉😊
Wow, you certainly don't fail to amaze me. I love spinach and I love tofu. I would have never thought of combining those spices with spinach and tofu. Naan and white rice are some of my fave accompaniments so I'm looking forward to making this recipe of yours. Thanks for sharing!!
I have a frozen meal that I buy myself twice a week. It makes my mouth water thinking about it. I cannot wait to taste this recipe beautifully fresh with so many of my favorite ingredients. Thank you very much for sharing.

Will I made this last week and it was simply AMAZING! So good. Going to make it again either today or tomorrow! thanks for the great recipe and video!!
This is an awesome recipe! I made it today for a rare Sunday lunch. The only thing I would change is to press the tofu. I had it frozen and thawed, but the extra step of pressing would have helped. This would be an easy weeknight meal, especially if you prep the aromatics ahead of time!
I eat a LOT of tofu and am constantly looking for good recipes. I made this and it is really good. I had it with rice. I did freeze some, and it made it a bit more watery, but it was fine when I reheated it.

Many cuisines have many steps...you can't make dish with one step or two unless it ready frozen meals
@ssri1675 The frozen meal comment was unnecessary. Traditional palak paneer has many steps, but this is a faster version is what the person was referring, too.
Adapt?? Adapted what??? That’s literally how Palak Paneer is made! Are you even from India? Do you even know anything about Indian food?!
@@samiyrah4244
What many more steps are you talking about?? Do list!

Or cottage cheese.

Coming up with good substitutions is part of the fun. 😊

His spinach already looks vibrant green. Do you want it to turn fluo?😂
Do you use baby kale or regular? And how did it turn out?
Thank you for that tip.
Baking powder or baking soda?
Try mustard greens instead of kale.

Even better with mustard greens. Great rendition of a classic dish.
I usually order this from an Indian restaurant, Came across this video and added my lil twist to it and there was a party in my mouth! My family can't get enough! Thanks for the demonstration
🙌🏻🥳 So glad to hear
This is also one of my favorite dishes ever! I have never made it with fennel seeds, however, and will have to try it.
My garden is giving me an abundance of rainbow chard. Will try that.
Great idea! 🙌🏻
@@YEUNGMANCOOKING Worked well with kale but the flavour was off. Used caraway seed not cummin seed.
I made this yesterday, the best Palak tofu I eat. I air frier the tofu first for few minutes to dry it out a bit before frying in the oil, the texture at the end was exactly like paneer, a bit chewy like the real think, love it. Thank you for this.

And the best part? My husband won't touch tofu so it is all for me 😊
I’m neither vegan nor vegetarian, but I love all Will’s recipes.

Tofu is, imo, the best substitute for those of us who r lactose intolerant.
Good paneer should have a creamy dairy flavor.
Thank you, Wil, for this amazing Palak Tofu recipe!

Wow Wil, this looks incredible! It’s on my “to make list” and your 4th cookbook is on my to buy list!
I so appreciate the cook taking a bite, vital! I’m a fan
This is so beautifully filmed that my eyes were watering during the first 3 ingredients! then followed with ooo's and and!...
One of the things i started doing when covid hit - dehydrating greens that were starting to wilt- then i blend them and keep them in a mason jar. Obviously not as good as fresh but they're great to have in the winter when i can't forage for greens.
I thought this was palak paneer. But having the mixture with tofu instead of cheese sounds delightful! ❤
Me too! Actually the cheese one makes me nauseous (dairy thing) sometimes so I’m excited to try this!! ☺️
I have tried palak Tofu but for some reason I prefer palak paneer. 😊
I thought that too. or like saag paneer
I thought this too! 👍
Paneer is not cheese
OUTSTANDING!!! Will, your recipes are THE BEST!! Love you mate!! G'day from Australia!! 🥰
Looks amazing... perhaps for dinner this Sunday.... Yum
I make this for my son, not that he needs his greens disguised but it goes so well with our Indian flatbreads.
what a beautiful video, love the music, love the dish, love it!
Glad you liked it! 😊
I usually make saag/palak chana/chickpeas, but replacing the paneer w/ tofu is a great idea!
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Chickpeas - great idea!!!
This one's a real banger. Keep 'em coming.
Really enjoy watching how you cut everything! Thanks so much for the excellent recipes!
Besides the dish - loved the little plug about the book, done so elegantly! thanks for the recipe - just got the fresh tofu😋

Good job. Simple method. That's a good unpretentious cook. The coconut cream bit will add extra flavour 😊
