The Home Free 'family' is much bigger than the 5 guys we usually see. Wonderful musicianship to not over power the vocals. And an acoustic bass guitar! Haven't seen one of those in a long time.

Yes, I happened to meet Sebby at a Veterans charity concert Tim, Austin, and friends play at each year shortly after he burned his hand in a kitchen fire. I was concerned when i saw he m that he wouldn't be able to play but he persevered.

I actually remember the original of "My Maria" by B. W. Stevenson in 1973. Always loved this song. I was not familiar with the Brooks & Dunn version. I really loved this performance by Tim & Austin & the other guys. Liked Austin singing in his lower register. I don't think I have ever heard Tim sound so clear & crisp in his upper falsetto range. Who would ever believe that he is a natural bass who can drop down into the basement depths. Wouldn't it be cool to have these guys perform for you at home?

They have been writing partners since at least 2009 when one of the songs they collaborated on, Land of the Free, they co-wrote was completed. In 2021 Home Free recorded Land of the Free, with it being the title track to their summer album that year. They also formed a side-gig band after the success of "My Maria" called Sweet 'n Low, which is also the name of an artificial sweetner here in the states. I think they are going to come out with their 1st album this year, as they have already done some small mini tours together. Sweet 'n Low already have released a cover of one of my all-time favorite country songs, "What's it to you". Check that out guys. If you guys review the song "So Long Dixie" by Home Free, you'll see Chris in that one, as he was one of the co-writers on that song. It's such a pretty & powerfully emotionall song. The lyrics bring back emotions from my childhood when Chance sings his solo part.

Quite a few professional singers have said it is one of the best versions, if not the best version, of the song. Many people get emotional hearing Austin singing the song. Chris Chatham is a close friend of Tim's. He is in the sound booth in Tim's video singing Frankie Valle's songs, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay, where Tim sings all the parts in acapella. Also, Chris filmed Tim's video "Southerner in the Snow" where Tim visits Adam and Home Free's producer Darren Rust at their homes in Minnesota in the winter. You might recognize Darren and his home from Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer. Southerner in the Snow is a funny video with Tim's dry narrative. There is no singing. It shows Adam's daughter in the video. Leejay wants to sound like Tim's bass, but Tim doesn't always sound like a bass singer speaking. Since Tim can sing five octaves, his voice according to him can change from day to day. He can sound like a tenor speaking on some days. He simply wakes up in the morning and his voice varies.
