This has been one of my favorite songs since 1973 when (the late) CW Stevenson wrote and sang this classic...it climbed the pop charts to #9. Their cover is an awesome tribute to him & also the 1994 cover by Brooks & Dunn. Tim going high & Austin going low...real fans can & do appreciate that contrast. By the way the Bass guitar player is Chris Marion, the brother-in-law of Tim Foust. Tim's wife is Jenika Marion Foust.

Love this cover. The third singer with guitar is their friend Chris Chatham, keyboards is friend Sebastian I believe and other guy is Tim's brother-in-law. They all sound great together.
Chris Chatham is a 20+yr freind of Tim's and frequent song co-writer (ie Land of the Free) and frequently collaborates with Tim and Austin. On keyboard is Austin's good friend and collaborator Sebastien Douyan and on electric bass is Chris Marion brother of Jenika Marion Foust Tim's beautiful wife who is also musically talented on Violin and has a beautiful voice. I really loved this performance by Tim & Austin & the other guys. Liked Austin singing in his lower register. I don't think I have ever heard Tim sound so clear & crisp in his upper falsetto range. Who would ever believe that he is a natural bass who can drop down into the basement depths. But then as soon as he speaks you can hear his low tone. Wouldn't it be cool to have these guys perform for you at home.

Nice one! Check out Tim singing Can't Help Falling In Love. You'll really hear his range and on that song you can clearly hear he was first formally trained as a tenor until his voice broke. Highly Highly recommend that one. He plays the piano on that, too.

I love Tim's high register. 😀 Someone mentioned in another chat that it's kind of funny to have a bass singing the high part when there are two other high tenors on stage.
I can listen to this over and over on repeat!! Better than the original! This truly shows Tim’s Tenor training, until he grew into his Bass!!

I'll explain it for you. Unless your a tuning fork, you do not produce a true single hertz. It's a mixture of hertz which musicians refer to as over and under tones. Tim hits low, and high with a shallow middle. A spectrogram shows that. Austin's hertz are more closely aligned., prefered in opera or a musical production.
That is the reason Tim will sing in registers some basses can't, however does not sound as "boomy" as basses that do not produce hertz as low as he.
