I’d been looking at the tent for a while & yes it seemed a interesting style weights don’t mean everything but style & having freedom does so I had to pull the trigger on this. It might even get the wife interested in a few wild camps in the mountains lol fingers crossed 😆
Awesome for the space but definitely a 3 season below the tree line tent for me. When you first lay in it you had the whole mini Dennis Waterman in the huge chair thing going on 😂 I totally agree on the pegs as well, mud adds extra weight and it's a looking out for your gear thing, the 7p's rule.

A lot bigger but there is the weight difference. As I said feels more luxury. Don’t get me wrong the Lanshan is superior in weight and I think there could be room for more improvements to the shell2.
I wonder is 3FUL actually put some thinking into tent designs, or draw something on a napkin, whilst having Sunday dinner at the pub...? What reason/s did they produce this tent? Nice tent, but I can't see any reason not to keep using my Lanny 2 pro.
That’s a cracker 😆 But funny enough I actually rate the tent but this is more of a curve ball towards luxury. Mate it was great to have no inner blowing up against me. It’s a weird one I’ll give ya that. Once you get the perfect setup it’s strong. I’m still debating taking it on a long hike but I just don’t know. But your right I would rather have a Lanshan 2 for a thru hike but but but it just seems like a two person campsite tent that I actually like chilling in.

Yeah squaddy rule through & through. But still debating taking it on the last half of the Pennine way. 🤔

I think the main problem with the shell2 is the staking down of the inner fly it can get a little awkward for connecting everything to the stakes

I’ll take it out at some point in strong winds but that bloody thing called work always gets in the way 😡
