IMHO, NOBODY who eats meat should criticize your methods of raising your chickens OR how you dispatch them. They have had a FAR BETTER short life than their neatly packaged supermarket cousins (until the moment of their final demise). Also, why are vegetarians and vegans watching this video after seeing the VERY CLEAR description of content???

Hi.. I don’t eat red meat from choice- I don’t call myself a veg.- I eat fish and chicken..all because it’s my choice. However… I don’t make comments on how others eat or live their lives… Sure I can’t watch certain things- but that’s me… I can’t watch any kills.. never have been able to. Don’t make comments.. Don’t watch… It’s not your life…it’s theirs..I love this family.. I watch a Canadian who lives on his meat too… I just pass over those parts…. Because their lives are good thoughtful kind lives….. When I look around there is very little kindness going on…

I don't eat meat since 2006, I prefer vegetables and greens, that's my choice!
But I would never dream on commenting or judge anyone else! It's your choice, so if you cannot watch - don't!
And please let this wonderful family do want they want and keep your views to yourself!

You are amazing…processing your own birds is humbling. My grandparents raised 500 birds a year when I grew up. Some went in the freezer, the others were sold. It makes you appreciate where your food comes from. Try your cornbread in a cast iron skillet in the oven…it’s Devine.

We learned how to process chickens from an old timer couple when my kids were in 4H years ago. Best chicken ever and I'd love to do it again. One tip we learned: Put a 5 gal bucket under the cones with a few inches of water in it, and let the blood drip into the buckets. When you're all done, pour that blood water over your garden bed and you've just fertilized your garden. They had the most beautiful irises around from doing this!

I agree with u 💯 Tina. I think it’s great how Parker is getting to live, and he’s raised. There is no difference when ya go hunting deer, turkey, etc. Someone is dispatching those animals and it’s great when a kid gets to learn how this is done. Parker is a great kid, and one day he will be grown and then if he decides tht he wants to live tht life then he will have a huge head start. He will have so much knowledge about how things r done. Joe & Tina r great parents, I feel bad for the kids tht never get to live the country life. Keep doing what u guys r doing, 👍🏻🫶🏻🙏

Watching this as I am preparing dinner. Steak and baked potatoes. I eat meat and I have known from a very young age where it comes from. I used to visit my grandparents in IA for 2 weeks out of the summer. They were farmers of cattle, pigs and chickens and had 3 fully stocked ponds on their land.

🌱🌿🌸💕Side note for those who might not already know: The home-grown chickens' feet are also a very healthy beneficial source of nutrition for your dogs, and a wonderful bonus includes a natural way of cleaning their teeth after meals. PS....🙏🏽@Home Free Alaska I love your beautiful dogs!!💖
