IMHO, NOBODY who eats meat should criticize your methods of raising your chickens OR how you dispatch them. They have had a FAR BETTER short life than their neatly packaged supermarket cousins (until the moment of their final demise). Also, why are vegetarians and vegans watching this video after seeing the VERY CLEAR description of content???

Agree 100%! Title & thumbnail are clear…yet they still click & attack. Lol. We’re used to it at this point. Has zero effect on us. We’re still rollin’!

Hi.. I don’t eat red meat from choice- I don’t call myself a veg.- I eat fish and chicken..all because it’s my choice. However… I don’t make comments on how others eat or live their lives… Sure I can’t watch certain things- but that’s me… I can’t watch any kills.. never have been able to. Don’t make comments.. Don’t watch… It’s not your life…it’s theirs..I love this family.. I watch a Canadian who lives on his meat too… I just pass over those parts…. Because their lives are good thoughtful kind lives….. When I look around there is very little kindness going on…

I don't eat meat since 2006, I prefer vegetables and greens, that's my choice!
But I would never dream on commenting or judge anyone else! It's your choice, so if you cannot watch - don't!
And please let this wonderful family do want they want and keep your views to yourself!
Love you guys ❤ You are amazing!

I also was Parkers age when I helped my parents and grandfather help process chickens on the farm and after we finished we had a nice country meal and made homemade ice cream and we talked to each other…( yes we actually looked at each other and talked) and it’s something I remember to this day something we did as a family and I am 67 years old now. Your truly amazing family and really enjoy watching your videos. I just wish Joe was here to help me screen in my back porch.Enjoy your life in Alaska.

We learned how to process chickens from an old timer couple when my kids were in 4H years ago. Best chicken ever and I'd love to do it again. One tip we learned: Put a 5 gal bucket under the cones with a few inches of water in it, and let the blood drip into the buckets. When you're all done, pour that blood water over your garden bed and you've just fertilized your garden. They had the most beautiful irises around from doing this!

You are amazing…processing your own birds is humbling. My grandparents raised 500 birds a year when I grew up. Some went in the freezer, the others were sold. It makes you appreciate where your food comes from. Try your cornbread in a cast iron skillet in the oven…it’s Devine.

That de-featherer works amazing. When I was around 12 (over 50+ years ago) my grandparents bought a dozen chickens and we killed and cleaned them. My grandparents were afraid we wouldn't learn how to do this. I remember it taking forever to pull all the chicken feathers and it was such a mess. Nice set up for making that an easier chore.

I stopped eating chicken many years ago as the crap they pump into chickens to plump them up and to keep them on the supermarket shelves for 2 weeks is not meant for humans consumption. So seeing home reared and butchered chicken is very refreshing knowing where the meat was raised etc.
    Happy (belated) Mother’s Day from the U.K. ❤ 🇬🇧

There is no difference when ya go hunting deer, turkey, etc. Someone is dispatching those animals and it’s great when a kid gets to learn how this is done. Parker is a great kid, and one day he will be grown and then if he decides tht he wants to live tht life then he will have a huge head start. He will have so much knowledge about how things r done. Joe & Tina r great parents, I feel bad for the kids tht never get to live the country life. Keep doing what u guys r doing, 👍🏻🫶🏻🙏

It was great watching Another great video from you folks. I liked how you filmed the Chicken processing so humanely, clean, and with respect to the birds. Been having a cold, and worked while sick, so it has been nice to watch your video on my day off. Keep up the amazing videos.

Tina, you and Joe have such a big slice of heaven on your property! Thank you so much for showing us how it's done when one feeds the family ! The blessings you give your children in exposing them to real life is amazing and so heartwarming! This Wyoming Nana just loves your utube channel and all the knowledge you share.

Kudos to you all for all your hard work and for teaching your children the process of where your food comes from. Anyone who eats meat is part of the death of an animal so they have no right to throw harsh words. Happy Mothers Day!

Wish there had been those de-feather thingies when I was a kid! De-feather and tenderize at the same time! How cool! We had to pluck cause Grandma saved the feathers to make feather beds.
