  • This last segment of 1 euro home in Sambuca is one of the most unique options available. Thought the video's a bit blurry, you can still imagine how this ancient 1 euro home could be repurposed into a beautiful new habitation. It is even a villa with a garden!
    If you haven't seen this video • I'm buying a 1 euro ho... you might want to. In it, I share why I am buying in Sambuca, and as part of that, there will be a way for each of you to get involved if you so choose.

      A definite challenge! Crumbling is a possibility in many cases. Thanks for your thoughts Terri!

      @@DauvO its mach more easier to demolishing this ruins, than repair! Community must pay for somebody who vil get this ruins to renovate, just clean all this garbage can cost a fortune!

    These houses were abandoned decades ago. If they don't sell them for 1 Euro (i.e. give them away) they will collapse and be lost forever. It will take a lot of patience and a big wallet to bring these places back. Thank you DauvO for promoting them. Maybe thanks to you a house or two will be saved.

    I remember this one with the green doors my daughter didn’t film enough of this property, it’s a lot bigger than I thought it was. Very nice! The only things it’s missing for me is a balcony.

    The 2nd house has potential for sure if you have time and patience! With the first house - if you are not getting the basement level, then how can you ensure that the building will have strong enough foundations?? I'd be worried. Also, it doesn't look like the basement has been used for a very long time!!

      I'm in agreement with you there. I did however just offer on a property where the foundation is actually another owners property. So I guess we'll see how that goes!

    Either one of these homes would be great in my opinion-if you could fix the walls and the roof. Anyone who takes these homes on has my admiration.

    I have 2 homes in Sicily. In Caccamo. I find it so interesting how they "deed" off parts of the buildings...its so crazy. You would not see that here in the states.

    Unless there was an option to purchase the basement, I’d have to pass on the first structure. The design of the front doors, garden and characterful nature of the second home made it appealing to me. I don’t know if any structural inspections are done prior to inclusion of a property into the 1€ program or if it is strictly ‘as is’. As with my own purchase I’d have to get an inspection of the structural integrity before taking the plunge. Great potential though! I’d likely use the property both personally and as a holiday rental.

      The house i offered on has a that situation where the basement is not part of the property for at least a portion.
      Hoping to strike a deal for the missing pieces

    If they offered it with the garage it would be a great Reno, because you would have everything including a parking space which is rare in Sambuca

    Wow, love the potential of the big property, but that's years of work and 100k of renovations just to bring them to a livable level. Hell, that's a month work of just clearing out the trash.

    Can you go back to number 9 and show the rest of the property the rest of the rooms in the other homes that are connected and see whether the one next to it with the prison light door in front is still for sale? I'm looking to buy it for a home for my family for 1 of them and the others with the big backyard would be an airbnb or a boutique hotel... I may have the means necessary to withere is to restore it to its original condition and repurpose some of the areas for Something even more beautiful and I love the stone and I would never get rid of it! It is stunningly beautiful and exactly what I've been looking for :) it is number 9 thank you

    • @tinedi1
      @tinedi1 2 роки тому

      Hi there. If I’m not wrong you would buy the house for 1€ but you have a limit of time to finish it. It is a great idea but you need to invest a lot of time and money and if you have to deal with the Italian administration than you will need a lot of patience as well.
