- This last segment of 1 euro home in Sambuca is one of the most unique options available. Thought the video's a bit blurry, you can still imagine how this ancient 1 euro home could be repurposed into a beautiful new habitation. It is even a villa with a garden!
If you haven't seen this video • I'm buying a 1 euro ho... you might want to. In it, I share why I am buying in Sambuca, and as part of that, there will be a way for each of you to get involved if you so choose.

Dauvo, I can’t imagine taking these homes on, they look like they will crumble..my gosh lots of work..congrats to who ever has the vision..
A definite challenge! Crumbling is a possibility in many cases. Thanks for your thoughts Terri!
@@DauvO its mach more easier to demolishing this ruins, than repair! Community must pay for somebody who vil get this ruins to renovate, just clean all this garbage can cost a fortune!
These houses were abandoned decades ago. If they don't sell them for 1 Euro (i.e. give them away) they will collapse and be lost forever. It will take a lot of patience and a big wallet to bring these places back. Thank you DauvO for promoting them. Maybe thanks to you a house or two will be saved.
Oh my goodness, the second property is very special!
Oh, I absolutely love Italian architecture! Those ceilings, arches, and doors!!!
Ha ha ha😂. Those RATS,mold, Those Thieves!
I remember this one with the green doors my daughter didn’t film enough of this property, it’s a lot bigger than I thought it was. Very nice! The only things it’s missing for me is a balcony.
The 2nd house has potential for sure if you have time and patience! With the first house - if you are not getting the basement level, then how can you ensure that the building will have strong enough foundations?? I'd be worried. Also, it doesn't look like the basement has been used for a very long time!!
I'm in agreement with you there. I did however just offer on a property where the foundation is actually another owners property. So I guess we'll see how that goes!
Either one of these homes would be great in my opinion-if you could fix the walls and the roof. Anyone who takes these homes on has my admiration.
Wow! That second property is really special and could be amazing!
Beautiful.
Very!
That will need a lot of love
I have 2 homes in Sicily. In Caccamo. I find it so interesting how they "deed" off parts of the buildings...its so crazy. You would not see that here in the states.
Did you fix them? Who is living in them?
@@thakiusmuckfeather1103 I live 8n one part time and the other is not liveable yet.
@@janetholmes3167 I see ok
I hate the thought of anyone buying these, just to rent out to tourists. I would live there, work there, and love it there!
I like your enthusiasm!
Unless there was an option to purchase the basement, I’d have to pass on the first structure. The design of the front doors, garden and characterful nature of the second home made it appealing to me. I don’t know if any structural inspections are done prior to inclusion of a property into the 1€ program or if it is strictly ‘as is’. As with my own purchase I’d have to get an inspection of the structural integrity before taking the plunge. Great potential though! I’d likely use the property both personally and as a holiday rental.
The house i offered on has a that situation where the basement is not part of the property for at least a portion.
Hoping to strike a deal for the missing pieces
Yes, you need a lot of vision for sure.
Would you keep the stone features visible, or cover them ?
I wonder who can live there. It looks like a ghost town. For some reason they have abandoned those properties.
Nice
I felt like i was spelunking in that house
A corner lot like that for €1? Yea buddy!
haha! Corner lots go for a premium after all!
If they offered it with the garage it would be a great Reno, because you would have everything including a parking space which is rare in Sambuca
Truly! That whole cul de sac felt empty enough that you could park where you wanted.. but nothing beats having some personal space
Wow, love the potential of the big property, but that's years of work and 100k of renovations just to bring them to a livable level. Hell, that's a month work of just clearing out the trash.
The second one
I really liked the stone contours in the section with the feeding trough
Can you go back to number 9 and show the rest of the property the rest of the rooms in the other homes that are connected and see whether the one next to it with the prison light door in front is still for sale? I'm looking to buy it for a home for my family for 1 of them and the others with the big backyard would be an airbnb or a boutique hotel... I may have the means necessary to withere is to restore it to its original condition and repurpose some of the areas for Something even more beautiful and I love the stone and I would never get rid of it! It is stunningly beautiful and exactly what I've been looking for :) it is number 9 thank you
Very rude people
Do you know if it was sold?
I need to follow up! I actually met the grandson of the previous owner today though! Just passing in the street.. this guy said.. 'Hey you toured my grandfather's house!'
Hi DauvO, what are the closing cost involve when buying a 1 Euro property?
Hi there. If I’m not wrong you would buy the house for 1€ but you have a limit of time to finish it. It is a great idea but you need to invest a lot of time and money and if you have to deal with the Italian administration than you will need a lot of patience as well.
something I don't understand....where is the garbage from? that last house was full of bags of garbage...but it was modern bags???
The neighbours used it as a dumpster
@Jo has it right. The places I bid on had documents with names that I learned belonged to the neighbor.
Notre dame would be an easier task. interesting but.
Not sure I see 1euro in value.
I totally get ya! Hopefully someone does!
Can you help me the get 1euro house
Who let the dogs out?
haha
@@DauvO Thanks for putting up with my sense of humor…..
1 euro, but then the local construction companies will rip you off on labor and material charges.
Seems like ghosts live in
Mad fools 🤣 🤪 💀
Che buche!! 😢😅 what holen!! 😢😅
I dont like those houses.
I understand. They are pretty rough
These are disasters ,mot houses , who can have so much money to Renovate
these Archeological buildings !?
This is not a property! This is a real disaster! No view at all! No plase for relaxing outdoors!
Except for the garden behind it of course
