    I do the oil drain plug first and then the filter so less oil is left to drip onto the header from the filter.

    I have never taken off the fairing. Losen two allen bolts by your left foot side of bike. Ease your socket in & take off the oil filter.
    Give it a shot! 😊 Saves a ton of time and as your faring gets older the plastics wont crack when u snap them apart.

    I drain the oil first then remove the filter. I used an empty 1 gallon water jug cut to fit under the filter to catch the oil. Not one drop of oil got on my exhaust pipes.

      I did exactly the same thing but with a 2 liter soda bottle. The curvature helped get right under the lip where the filter mates to the engine.

    Is the scratches inside right underneath the oil cap normal ? There’s grooves/cuts in the metal where you fill the oil inside. I have pictures would love more info gsxr 1000 2022 and it has only 300 miles

    Just to confirm you put 3.5 quarts in? My dealer put 3.5 litres in which is more like 3.8 quarts about mid way in sight glass when bikes cold

    I usually get the Motul. Is this oil fine ? Mobil 1 racing 4t for a 2018 GSXR1000? It’s nice to just go into Walmart or soenthing and just get hands on the oil right away.

    • @ACProductions77
      @ACProductions77  Рік тому

      ya you shouldn't be able to move it at all, if you can that means its loose and you need to tighten the bolts.

  • @michelebianchetti3471
    @michelebianchetti3471 Рік тому

    The manual says to tighten the oil filter 2 full turns after the gasket touch, isn't that too tight? Thanks

    • @ACProductions77
      @ACProductions77  Рік тому

      once the gasket touches & you hand tighten as much as you can I wouldn't go past tightening a half turn more with the wrench. as that will too tight and you run the risk of damage when it comes to removing it.

    • @MotoFlows
      @MotoFlows Рік тому

      There is reason for 2 full turns, do it.

    • @King88_8
      @King88_8 11 місяців тому +1

      Would be impossible to do 2 turns.
      Hand tighten and then max 1/4 turn. For years we actually just hand tighten and never ever had an issue
