I thought of it when I went through this back on my ZX6. After talking to a few people online the consensus was there could be nuances in fitment and generally steer clear since most/all problems can be solved with pad/rotor/mc on stock callipers (this is the case for sport bikes anyway) other bikes might be a different story.
Have you thought of replacing the callipers for something beefier?
