So many skilled craftsmen. The first guy who was making the pattern for the casting is one of the most skilled craftsman I've ever seen. Very IMPRESSIVE !

These guys never cease to amaze me. I wonder how long these parts last? I've noticed that most of these shops have minimal measuring equipment yet they still make presentable parts with minimal tooling. Kudos!!

50 years ago I worked at Sterling Metals (UK) making cylinder heads and blocks. Today the pattern equipment for a head would be in the region of £300-400k. This vid was amazing - pattern equipment from scratch to make some replacement heads. Not to mention the moulding and core-making skills. Well impressed. Although I did wonder how they were going to make the water jacket core to keep the head from overheating. Answer - don't have one.

the pattern maker guy (dark shiny jkt and grey hat) is really skilled - look at how he uses the tools he has! his ruler is so old and used its corners are round - hes also dressed up so its cold - high up or season??

Perkins AD3 head. These retail for under £150 in the UK (don't ask me to give price in $US if you're too dopey to know what the exchange rate is). These guys are truly exceptional and resourceful craftsmen.

Cómo fue eso ??
creo que la pieza que fundieron y la pieza que maquinaron son diferentes. Cuando armaron el molde de arena, no vi que le pusieran el corazón para la camara de agua, y en la que maquinaron si hay camara de agua.... Cuando estan cepillando, tienen al lado una cabeza muestra. Imagino que esa es una pieza de un taller que fabrica la cabeza en serie.

not long no hardened valve seats in that cylinder head, it will wear out in a few thousand miles running on unleaded.
