Beauty is all about perspective, you may not find yourself personally beautiful, but someone out there will fall at their feet for your twinkly brown eyes or your crooked teeth. We are all beautiful, everybody has something beautiful about them, beauty radiates from within and can be seen all over the face.

I wonder if any of the women or girls said anything about what it can do and not just what it looks like.

i think people should STOP using photo shop for magazines, models ,celeb pics, its giving women ,even men, low self esteem I'd love to thank dove on their self esteem project ,comment and like if you agree
same I feel the same way.
They actually want women with low selfsteem. They don't want women who are happy about themselves and who they are. The companies want women who will buy their products. They want women who are insecure about themselves, so they keep buying stuff to look more like the women on magazines, which is impossible because they are not real women (professional makeup and hairstyle, cosmetic surgery, photoshop...). These women will always be unsatisfied trying to be perfect so they will keep buying more and more stuff.
woah... this rang true. I like to answer questions myself when i watch the video and I have to say, it took two minutes to come up with an answer for the first one (the freckles on my nose, even though they are covered up by my glasses) but the second one i was just full of answers (her cheeks, the scar on her nose, her collarbone, her legs, her confidence....) I feel like most people (not just girls) can see the beauty in everything but themselves

really? wow. no one can think of ONE thing about their body that they love? I love my legs and my arms. I love my waist. I love my hands and my shoulders. I mean, i dont love EVERYTHING about my self, but at least i can think of some things i like.
Its almost maybe that they feel its wrong to love yourself almost as if they would be judged by others for loving something about themselves.
Absolutely. Women are taught, and this is a BIG mistake, to be, 'nice', at all costs. One of the things they are taught that 'nice girls' do is to not, 'think too much of themselves'. Anyone who thinks in this way would benefit from Louise Hay videos. Self-love and esteem is NOT to be confused with vanity or arrogance! They are opposites!!

Is it normal to love everything about your own body? I like my legs, my hair, my face, my skin... basically everything and I don't want to sound arrogant.... I think a lot of women out there love their bodies. Dove emphasises on women who are not confident about themselves but that isn't how it really is!
danivip there is nothing wrong with being confident , it's just that a lot of people aren't.
Ohhh that poses another potential ad… it will be a great idea if Dove did an ad showing the progress of someone from a less confident stage to a very confident stage. I feel that we all blossom as time goes by so this ad would be extremely relevant to many people.

we can't see it in ourselves because of Beauty standards, because no matter what we look like there will always be someone who will judge you for the way you look or there will always be somthing you want or feel is a necessity to make you be or feel "beautiful".
I strongly feel that what seems to be termed “rebel” behavior should be termed “realization” behavior. We have to realize that NO, I may not look, sound, or act like what’s considered the “social norm” but I realized that I have my own norm. I am all for seeing people beyond their looks. To talk to people and hear their stories and to ask questions… now that is living. If I could get paid to be a people watcher or a greeter I would. I advise anyone to listen to Christina Aguilera song Beautiful ✨💫

What We DON'T See
I have so much I like about my body.... I've always loved it. (well since becoming an adult. My teen years not as much). But I am still very self conscious about a lot of things, my face mostly. I don't really wish to change my body though. Maybe nice to have larger breasts and sometimes I wish my butt was bigger, even though for my proportions and the shape of both those parts are really nice, but would I enlarge them if I could ? Yes. The biggest issue I have with my body though is that my back is curved, I have a bit of a hunch back, and I have terrible posture and I carry a lot of stress and pain in my upper shoulders / neck because of it. Other than that I love my body !!!!
