Chorizo & Potato - #2 Canteen Cup Tuesday

- Simple camping meal prep. Chorizo and Potato soup. Minimalist easy to cook in less than half an hour on any sort of bushcraft campfire or alcohol stove such as a Trangia. My Spanish friends approve as, apparently, any combination of chorizo and potato works well.
The ingredients are shelf stable making this suitable for long hikes.
Ingredients
Half a Chorizo
Half a large onion
Clove of garlic
180g tin of potatoes
Stock cube. Chicken or vegetable
Teaspoon of sweet paprika
The measurements of the ingredients is not critical and can be altered to suit. A supermarket chorizo works just as well as the more expensive artisan ones that pop up from time to time. I use tinned potatoes because they are precooked and are firm. A lid from Pringles or similar may fit on larger potato tins converting them into a leak proof container suitable for transporting any rubbish home.
Excellent, looks delicious, good luck with the channel!
Thanks. If you give it a go let me know how you got on.
Thanks for the recommendation

Ótimo vídeo Parabéns muito bom isso
Glad you liked it.
Happy to find you!
Loving your channel. Great ideas. Reckon this one would also work well with a tin of butter beans or similar instead of potatoes, i think ive nade a soup like that before. I just tend to throw anything in when Im cooking 😂
Butterbeans would work I'm sure. Good suggestion. I'll give it a go later in the year when the weather gets a bit cooler.
Thanks for the suggestion and for watching
Would be great if you could list the ingredients in the description!
Thanks for the suggestion. It'll give me something to do on a damp Sunday afternoon like I'm having today.
Great stuff on your channel. Clever stove ideas, and tasty looking meals. What is your chopping board made from? Where can I source carbon felt for the alcohol burners?
btw, big fan of Opinel and Victorinox knives. too!
The chopping board came from a Sea To Summit set I got over a decade ago. It's due for replacement and I've seen something similar in Robert Dyas. A set of thin cutting boards that can easily be cut down to size. I'll post a link if I can find them.
Thanks for watching
Can't find the ones in Robert Dyas but these in IKEA look interesting

I get carbon felt from eBay.
