Do you thin it would be possible to use a y-splitter on the lanc cable to connet a focus motor to the grip (like the chroziel) and also have it connected to the C70?
After watching the video, I was shocked. What a genius idea. Excuse me, if I also bought the handle of fs7, they usually have the extension arm of sony. Can the extension arm be installed on this rabbit cage? I hope to get your reply, thank you.
Sorry, we're not familiar with the extension arms Sony makes - I'd assume there'd be a way of mounting a Rosette adapter to it. We're using this extension arm when we've wanted a bit of extra reach on our shoulder mount or when we've wanted to use the RS2 in underslung mode: geni.us/tilta-rosette-extender
@@outsideinstudio Thank you. I mean, when buying fs7 handle, he usually carries an extension arm, which is a complete set. I want to consult, that is, this complete set. Can it be installed on this c70 rig? Thank you very much for your reply. Thank you
I think you'd have to buy the extension arm separately. We bought our grip brand new, but it came without the arm.

@@outsideinstudio I'm in the same exact situation right now. However, I can't find a rosette adapter for the FS7 grip for the life of me. What did you buy to connect the FS7 grip to a standard rosette? Any recommendations are welcome at this point as my only option is the Sony extension arm, which has a price of 240€ and an unknown lead time :S
I can see you’re using the Tilta cage on the C70, are you also using the arcs Swiss plate that comes with the cage? Is it compatible with the ronin arca swiss plate? I’ve heard not all plates are compatible. Thanks!
Hey! Haven't tried the plate that comes with the cage (although it is compatible) - the tilta extended plate for the rs2 is still sturdier and seems to provide better support
Ah, yeah I don't think retailers stock many of the Smallrig version. You can go with this one, although it's a lot more expensive: geni.us/vocas-fs7-grip
Hey there, we haven't shot on the C100 for a couple of years now, so we wouldn't know. I'd assume the EVF would get in the way of the full range of motion.
It bugs me so much how Canon is not letting their Cinema Line camera work with one of their camera grips. Especially since the Canon grip is so comfortable, for me it’s a lot better to hold than the weirdly shaped Sony grips
Thanks for this. It's issues like this that really make me disdain Canon as a company. Also, it appears all of the rosette adapters are no longer manufactured.
@@joshdiditt Would like to know how true this is before I buy.. Doesn't state anywhere that the canon c70 is compatible with smallrig's wooden handle. Thanks
Oh this is awesome!
Thanks, Jesse!
The Small RIg Rosette wooden grip works. I have it. They say it is not compatible on Amazon but one of the cables works.
Which Smallrig number is that? Thank you a lot!
@@st.laverenz smallrig #3324 - the Panasonic cable that it comes with works with the c70. Just tested it today
@@yesoos sir, which Panisonic cable? the longer one for the BGH1 or the shorter one for the S1and S5?
So perfect, I've been researching grips for so long, and really like the FS7 grip - Had no idea it might even be slightly compatible!! Amazing news!
I LOVE YOU GUYS! Will try my FS5 Grip!
Did the FS5 grip work?
Did you have any luck with the FS5 grip?
I was looking forward to your video post:)
Thanks for watching!
I love your work! I'm glad I found this... I'm not even a Canon user!
Thanks, Lyndon! Hope you found it useful regardless 🙏
Really helpful thanks bro 🙏🏻⚡️
Great video - so clear and useful! If anyone ever tells you that you’re saying button wrong you need to tell them that no, they are wrong! 😂
Happy to hear it was helpful! I didn’t know there was another way to pronounce it? 😅
Sony fs5 grip works wirh the canon c70??

SPICY build.
haha had a bit of help with it 😏
Dude do you know if it would work on fx3/30?!
Great video! Do you happen to know if the FX6 side grip works with the C70?
So far I haven't managed to assign the rocker or any other keys except key 4. Maybe you can show me how to properly program the handle with the C70.
Video states that it can't/hasn't been done
This is great guys! Would love to know the lighting setup for the shots at :30

I wonder if this would work for my R5c? 🤔
Is it suitable for canon eos R too sir?
Is the remote cable detachable from the grip?
Unfortunately, no. The coiled cable is permanently attached.
