You could use a d-tap splitter, rig it to the handle or cage and use it to power the monitor and transmitter, reducing the overall weight and batteries. Great video and thanks for the tips.
one thing you should do is get a longer 15mm rod (just one) so you can put the wireless follow focus on the base plate whilst also serving as one of the rods for the v-mount battery, leave in the rig a bit cleaner and overall size down. i saw someone else talk about all those batteries and thats also a good change for you rig. last thing that would be a cool thing to think about is attaching the wireless transmitter to the back of the monitor(i don't really know if thats possible with your current gear), one more way to have less unnecessary bulk and keeping the rig more compact. just a thought on ways to improve upon your already awesome build! great video man
Great setups! Thanks for post. Can you power the wireless transmitter or remote follow focus motor from the C70 or Ronin so you don't need extra batteries and weight? Also do you think the Ronin RS 2 would be just as good as the Ronin RS 3 for your rig considering they both have the same payload capability?
Unfortunately, the C70 does not have any power outputs. You would need to a V-mount battery to output power to the transmitter and FF motor. And yes, I'm pretty sure you could use the RS2 if it holds the same payload capacity
Yo! Great video! Thank you. Do you get any use out of the Ninja V's recording functions or do you just shoot everything internally? I get virtually no value out of my Ninja V with the C70 and have been wondering if Im missing something. Thank again!
Yeah ngl, I originally bought the for my Canon EOS R to record beefier files for color grading. But I upgraded to the C70 shortly after buying the Ninja V and never used the external recording again lmao. The C70 is already too good 😂
I'm using the SmallRig DJI RS 3 Pro Extended Baseplate: amzn.to/48HimwH It comes with two screws on the bottom, 1 1/4", and 1 3/8". Let me know if that helps!

Yep, I really need to look for a better solution for the reducing the weight of batteries for sure. Thanks for the tip :D

Super appreciate the suggestions! Definitely will take that into consideration to improve the build 😁👍
great video mate! just bought the c70 and will do a similar setup with the leftfield baseplate and a 702 touch. Subscribed!!
Appreciate it man!
great tutorial. you explain your set up pretty simply.
Thanks so much!

That’s a pretty nifty rig 🙂
Thanks man! :D
Any recommendations for the RS 3 base attachment? It only allows one screw to match with my baseplate and my camera shifts when the screw loosens.
