    2022 trd pro is 1.5" lift in front and 0.5" in rear. Overall, that is a change of additional 0.5" more in front than the 2021 where it was 1.0" relative to base models. Unchanged lift in rear relative to 2021.

      I can personally agree with you. I drove a 1997 Tacoma 315,000 miles with never a problem. Routine maintenance. I sold my 2008 Tacoma TRD Sport in 2018 with 115,000 miles for half of what it cost new. I currently own a 2021 TRD OR. I liked the 4.0 better in the 2008 but after getting used to it I like the 3.4 just fine. I would be curious to know how many people that complain about the new Tacoma actually own one ?

    So many mixed opinions on this video, first, glad you got a taste of off roading and you did it in one of the best vehicles you can besides a jeep, second I know your reviewing the truck but wished you would’ve shown more from the outside considering this is about the only video you can find of a 22 pro in action, third I wished you had some more experience off roading so some of the feed back would’ve been better, for you this is new so everything seems amazing and great or makes odd sounds vs someone who has done this more can say ya this needed more throttle than what I would’ve expected for this spot or this took it like a champ compared to other vehicles, overall it is a good video and glad you got a taste of what people want a pro for

Both plants use a majority of US and Japan-made parts, with other parts from all over the world. Toyota has the best quality control in the industry; one reason is their uniform assembly process (which is largely robotic). There’s not even a difference in the labor force - plenty of American emigrants working in Baja and Mexican immigrants working in San Antonio.

    I just got done watching this, the Canyon AT4, and Frontier review. It has me looking forward to 2023 models. Sadly Toyota is not redesigning their truck. The powertrain, ride, and cabin of the Tacoma are just not acceptable for my needs. (towing a boat) Thank you for putting this together. Not enough changes to justify selling my 21 for the 22 PRO. I've already upgraded the UCA with SPCs and got the lift I wanted with a Westcott PRO lift. Couldn't have asked for more.
    Got rid of a 2019 Colorado ZR2 diesel that I owned for 2 years and 30k miles for the Tacoma. Best thing I did, that ZR2 was a turd, spent more time in the shop than off-roading.

      Then I would save yourself a LOT of money and get the TRD Off Road or Trail. The TRD Pro is a serious machine, but I took the Tacoma Trail through the same obstacles and it made it just fine. Same with the TRD Off Road, which is like 85% a Pro. They’re all truckish on the road, but those will give you plenty of capability without paying the “Pro” tax. Hope that helps. "Aggressive tires, makes noises"... well I really appreciate seeing a Tacoma TRD Pro in video. I'm just not sure your review can be valid for comparison of old verses new or even to other off road going vehicles because of your lack of any experience with these types of vehicles. Maybe the video should have just been about your first experience off-roading in a Tacoma and labeled that way? A video of how you use the Off-road feature/button's amd outside shots of the truck doing obstacles would have been more informative for those new to a Tacoma TRD Pro

    • @jax1079
      @jax1079  2 роки тому

      True, and I appreciate the feedback, but I imagine that there are quite a few people out there like me who are interested in something like a TRD Pro but don't fully understand the driving experience or capabilities. It's doubtful a recent owner would be interested in updating to the 22, but a first time buyer might want to know what he or she was getting into. That's sort of my perspective. Don’t buy a Toyota truck they are being designed by ex Chrysler engineers. Mike Sweers has destroyed Toyotas quality reputation. Own a 2016 and would never buy another one. Howling rear end, squealing idle pulley, leaking coolant on back side of motor from a plastic transfer pipe which will go bad before 100,000. These are poorly designed trucks. Look cool and that’s it. Hard to see out of. Leaking tri lights above the cab. Squeaking clutch pedal, squeaking suspension. I could go on.
