Flash Point History you are very imprecise in mapping Hungary, it encompassed the whole Carpathian Basin at that time when Frederick Barbarossa crossed through it. And he never went through Romania, which at that time didn't exist. His route was through Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece and Thrace.
I'm still in confusion about something. Why was Phillip so passive in allowing himself to be suboordinated by Richard when he arrived... What made Richard so obviosly senior? Then after Acre was captured why did Philip leave really? Seems to me he could have stayed and participated, and remained a big contender for powersharing in a recaptured Crudader Kingdom...
Amazing video - Saladin was undoubtedly a brilliant general, but since he never defeated Richard I in any battle, it truly shows what an amazing warrior king Richard truly was. Whilst Muslims like to glorify Saladin, we in the West rarely speak of Richard's accomplishments.
@@nickafanasyev6550 Yes it doesn't fit the bill. Genocide is the attempt to eradicated an ethnic or religious groups. While the prisoner were Muslim, their death was mainly a military decision as the Crusaders could not afford to feed them rather than a attempt to destroy an entire ethno-religious groups.

So tragic that Barbarossa was lost by drowning. If he had lived and could have been united with the Austrians, English, and French etc., there would have been no problem. I had a German friend who recited a German poem to me about a German knight who was with Barbarossa through Turkey and was harassed by Turks firing arrows at him and his armor from behind the rocks.
