Big fan Matthew. But I think you need to review your training to take you to the next level. There may be coaches, programmes, athletes and other exercises that get you to the next level.
@@6MondoI don’t think it’s the matter of him doing them I think it’s what he’s doing. Sometimes athletes need new training regime to improve. The truth is that Matthew has plateaued he’s been at the same spot since his first year of college more or less.
Just a word to the wise - don't let anything get in the way of your speed-work. I know everyone's got opinions, you got to figure it out yourself. But running a 15 min cool down is going to detrain your fast twitch, walking around the city, as fun as that may be is tiring your legs out for the next day - taking the edge off your explosiveness. You need every bit of that explosiveness. You profile as a sub 44 guy, I know there are multiple ways to get there, but just be kind to your fast twitch - that's all. Love your stuff! Keep up the good work!
I agree, and I usually advocate for longer efforts for 400 athletes. A 15 minute jog this late in the season doesn't seem ideal but who knows what his coaches are doing
Yo matt I know the pressure to dope is high but dont do it if you havent already brotha. Pray to the most high for success and chant the name of the lord he will make sure you achieve success against even the dirty sprinters. Dont sell your integrity though brotha and you will be rewarded. cheers, Progress not Feature may he who exists within all bless you with fortune if you remained righteous jai shree ram
Are you planning on staying at 400m or were you devoting a season to the 400m with intentions of dropping back down to the 100m, this upcoming season? That'd be quite clever. I think you have unfinished business in the open 100m. In optimal conditions, I think you can crack 9.88 this upcoming season.
Matthew “what’s up ya’ll” Boling
Go Matthew. You got all the natural talent and I know you can be the best. Trust yourself
Love your content! Super positive, entertaining, I can introduce my kids to you (who all run track too)! Great job!
Does altitude affect you at all since you’re in great shape ? Also, what’s your personal best in planking? (Wanna see how it compares to mine)
Good shit bro next season will be fire
Great work on your pacing Matt. You are finishing much stronger now. 💪

For example plyometrics, flexibility.
I think he should look into Clyde Hart's programming for the 400, it seems like he would benefit from that style of training imo
@@hextoken Do you genuinely not think he does plyometrics or stretching?

@@K74t He dropped his open 400m time by 0.33 seconds from last year. He keeps progressing and he'll be medal hunting.
Do weights and treadmill in the off season.
I really wish I could see your race in Copenhagen. I live in southern Sweden:)
love from polaand
