I used to own a 2006 Tacoma, was a great truck, i beat the shit out of it and it never let me down.... i was in the market for a new one but Toyota changed the cab design.. it’s actually smaller. I’m 6’4” 220lbs. I didn’t fit. ... 2019 Tundra 1794 edition.... Love it!! 👍🥰

It took me forever to find a long bed tacoma trd off road in cement, I love it so hard to find literally 4 months of searching, each time one popped up it sold instantly, I bought mine before it was even posted for sale lol

I got my 2020 TRDOR in cement on September. Love my Taco. Is the dual climate control the only difference on the 2021s? I have the led headlights + fogs and tech,
Hey Christian, I know they’ve had the dual climate control for years now. I think they just move it between packages. My 2019 TRDOR doesn’t have it but with a premium package back then I could have gotten it. Thanks for watching.

I prefer the leather seats, but I wish I could get them in an Access Cab. I need a 6' bed but the DC long bed is a little long for my garage. By the way, like McFly, I have a 1985 Xtracab.

Good question PCLC! Tacomas have an odd seating arrangement for taller people. It can be done but from everything I’ve heard it’s takes some getting used to. In the video, the seats were positioned in the middle. So they definitely can provide the leg room. Back seat would be tight for a taller person but then again keep in mind it’s a midsize! Get a tundra or 4Runner if you want narrow but more space. I’m 5.5 and I’m tight in the back. Up front I sit perfectly fine.

Also- Ford said they’ve already stopped taking orders for Rangers, but there is a new model coming out for 2023 that is about the size of the 199X- 2004 Dakotas. Good

Why do the Tacoma still have rear drums...? The Tundra and the 4runner move away from it.
Great question! I saw a few videos on this and the reason is for off roading. Dirt, sand etc can get caught up in disk brakes making a lot of noise and possibly harming them. Drum brakes block that from happening. Engineers at Toyota figured that since these trucks are used on a variety of terrains that they would stick with drum brakes. Yes the manual trans with 5ft bed does have differential lock same as automatic in trd off road and trd pro.
But ya see there’s still one major thing missing on this Pick Up... Adequate Leg Space for the people in the Back Seats
It is a little tight back there! I don’t think any midsize offers adequate leg space in the back. If they do it’s a difference of about an inch or so. Thanks for watching.

Love Tacoma's , I'm on my second one actually and guess what ...my second one is a second gen 2015 and my first one was a 2016 third gen. I have to say I prefer my second gen over the third gen. Here's why , first off that 3.5 liter atkinson cycle engine made its power in all the wrong places for a pickup and sounded very strange . Secondly the transmission was so indecisive with its shifting patterns it actually made me sell the truck(all over the place , especially on the highway) . Needless to say my second gen feels more powerful (more truck like) and it's a 6 spd manual which I like a lot better. The third gen's do look a little better though I'll give it that much.

Newer Tacomas have power adjustable seating. Previously taller people did complain of not fitting well into the Tacoma. Now with the seat change the fit is better. I would test drive one to see how you fit! Thanks for watching!

Toyota needs to fix the seating position in the Tacoma. You sit on the floor, and theres very little adjustment. Nice truck, last forever, but its about the most uncomfortable thing you'll ever drive.
They have made some minor improvements with power adjustable seats in the last few years but the seat is low. Thanks for watching!

I'm buying a 2022, and it looks like in Canada you can't get a DCLB off road Tacoma.
I'll be chatting with the sales rep, but they're only showing ACLB or DCSB with the off road package. Big thing for me is getting the locking rear diff capability, and I feel like I have no choice but to sacrifice something to get that capability🤦♂️

Hey Rick! They have had bad frames in the past that Toyota did replace at no charge but that was on the first generation Tacoma’s. They have made significant improvements to the frame since then and have entirely new frames that resist rusting. Plus one thing that I didn’t mention that was on the window sticker was that Toyota offers a 5 year unlimited mileage corrosion protection warranty. Pretty awesome! I personally drive a Tacoma. No rust! Great frames now. Thanks for watching!
@@GarageGear This past Summer I checked out a used 17 Tacoma and the frame was already rusting so I passed on it. Undercoating or sound deadening are a must on Tacomas. Does the corrosion warranty state that if there is surface rust or rust through is covered?

Miss my 1500's that I ran for 25 years. Have a Ram 2500 6.4 Hemi gas guzzler now that pulls our camper great. That 1500's squatted and swayed from the tongue weight.
