Once my brothers and I performed a cruel and sadistic experiment. We cut the head off of a chocolate rabbit, filled it with jelly beans and melted the head back on. PETA went apoplectic.
I've been an avid chocolate bunny hunter for years. And it's videos like this that help me get the right perspective again. I've heard far too many fake chocolate bunny hunting stories and it's good to see real ones. Sometimes we complicate things and need to get back to basics. Paul has really helped me to rethink my whole approach to hunting chocolate bunnies. Thank you sir.
It is always been my experience that this early in the year the foil wrapping on the chocolate bunnies hasn’t really matured yet. The problem is sometimes the foil carries through with the shot into the body of the chocolate bunny. You have to be a little bit careful cleaning them to be sure you get all that foil out. I’m not sure why but it doesn’t seem to be as big a problem later in the year.

I'd recommend you have at LEAST a 45-70 on hand at all times in case you come across oversized Peeps. They get pretty aggressive during the mating season.
My grandfather used to call this hunting with a silver bullet ( or fishing with a silver hook ). He too had mastered the arts of the great outdoors. In those days our coins still were made of silver , and I suddenly realized ; I am getting up there in years myself now at 74. A fine presentation on proper field care and cooking of the ever elusive Chocolate Bunny.
I needed this episode more than I would have expected. My morning's plans ended early due to a mechanical, so I drove home a little depressed. This made up for it. Thanks, Sir Paul.
