- This is the first Episode of several where the Integra Type S gets new Snow tires and racing wheels and we see what is possible in the snow!
This video shows initial impressions of the tires and TEP Teggy's first snow ride!
Last year, for the 2022 winter season, the 2023 Integra Aspec 6MT performed phenomonally! I was blown away at what the limited slip diff system could do. Holy cow, and I was surprised at how it stayed its course!
I've been blown away with the performance of the Bridgestone Blizzak WS90 tires, so curious how these Micheline X-ICE tires will perform. Stay tuned and enjoy!

What is the width of the wheel 7.5J ? The tires are a bit wider for those wheels. They are a bit pinched, that will take away part of the handling of your vehicle on dry/wet roads. 245 40 18 are wider and taller than your vehicle spec. Your right size tires and wheels for winter condition are 18x8J 235 40 18 tires.
@genderlessyoutubefanperson What we chose ended up being perfect for winter driving. Handled like a beast! Handling in Winter tires is already quite different than summers, but width we did 8.5 roughly
@@PlasmadaeDal Those are 8.5J wheels? Those 245 40 18 sure look pinched and on like 8 or 7.5J wheels. Interesting. Maybe the camera angle fooled me.
@@genderlessyoutubefanperson Yeah, the calipers were SUPER close to the rim, but otherwise, they were fantastic. Calipers undamaged as well. Width and the ICE X were superb.
@@PlasmadaeDal I bought 255 45 20 Michelin X-Ice Snow tires and will install them on 20x9J wheels. Those are the minimum wheels and tire width and diameter I can install on my vehicle cos the disks/calipers are massive.
@genderlessyoutubefanperson I hear you! The X Ice are a phenomenal choice. OEM size on Integra Type S is 19", but we went 18 to have a taller sidewall for a more-forgiving ride in the snow. It gave it SUCH a plush ride. Holy moly, talk about Comfort Mode Plus!
Very cool review. If Nokian ever went out of business (hopefully never!), the x-ice would be my winter tire of choice.

@@PlasmadaeDal It's a great car but I do feel it could've been even more powerful, also I miss the touchscreen, & lastly the turning radius is a little unusual with the long hood
@@djsthemetereman Got it! I can't remember, but did you ever have a chance to drive the Integra Type S? It never leaves me wanting, is plenty fast, and a blast. Turning radius seems good.
Hello from Montreal, I maybe be getting a Type S but I would need winter tires. It’s law up here in Quebec until April. I would have to get a set of aftermarket rims and tires like you did. I’m guessing you have 18” rims with spacers with yours tires being 235/50/18. You will generally benefit with a narrower tire with a higher wall in the snow.

Hey there! We didn't go full width, 18.5, so only slightly more narrow, but so far seem to be doing amazing! We did go 18s to have a bigger buffer for potholes, and general unpredictable surface conditions, and I think that is wise.

im highly interested in the type S for a daily, but in Canada, but will probably run studded winters where im located due to heavy snowfall
What kind of heavy snowfall are we talking about? What's the typical snow height on the roads that you're seeing?
In Montreal studded tires are not necessary and there’s some steep hills around me. Snow tires are compulsory here in Quebec …all you need is a good set of winters will do the trick.

Very snug. We'll need to see how they do! About 1/8 from the calipers roughly, so as long as no pebbles get in there and scuff, should be good?
