I honestly liked zeref. The suspense of his character from the very beginning and why Natsu is one of his creations. I honestly wish Natsu got to know some things about his big brother. 😢
Zeref is one of the better written villains I've seen. His backstory and general motivations are so complex and fascinating. His curse is one of the most compelling storytelling devices out there.

I guess all of his demons were created to point him as the threat that made them so that they could attempt to kill him but it never worked. He hoped that Natsu, his best creation would grant him his wish. Just amazing.
Don't know why people says Zeref is stronger than Natsu! Zeref literally survived this battle only because of happy. Zeref could be a stronger wizard but Natsu,s raw power is insane

the way this power was written was so bad. Either it shouldve been permanent or this shouldve been the last fight before it disappeared, or even if Igneel's assistance was removed it could've at least given him so sort of powerup. Maybe him being END could've been used as a plot-point as to why he either a) retained the power of Igneel or b) the power caused him to exceed his limits permanently. The final arc felt super rushed and it was just too much information given for the short amount of time given. Dude, we could've gotten an entire ARC dedicated to Erza's bloodline alone.
Indeed. The animation upto natsu vs twin dragons was goated af. There were magic circles too. Right after natsu vs twin dragons episode, the anime went on break for a year I think, and returned with updated artstyle but powerpoint animation. Characters looked cool and hotter with new designs but animation quality decreased. Magic circles removed. Everything went downhill from there.
Fr he’s somehow seems even weaker in 100 years quest and I hate that all of a sudden they have a whole guild of wizards who can rival him when really no one should be near or above him except the 5 dragon gods at this point it’s ridiculous
Nah, igneel fought and lost to acnologia during that time, so he was stronger then igneel, even tho nastu got his flame, he still have a time limit on the power, which I don’t think he can beat acnologia in time, and he became more powerful compare to when he fought igneel, so even with the surge of power, he ain’t soloing acnologia at this point in the anime
Igneel is an old dragon, and because he is old, he lost most of his strength after passing through the portal of time, so he decided to teach Natsu dragon slayer magic and enter his body as a plan against Acnologia and give her the last of his strength so that Natsu can defeat him.He awakens the crimson fire, but it will not last with him because Igneel is old and has lost most of his strength
this shouldve been the end plot armor ruined it all that they needed was to delay this interaction but igneel and fire king mode etc was the way to end it besides they could do all the other goofy stuff at the end with acknologia this fight couldve been so pure

Fairy Tail never had good writing, just pqssable and awesome fights + the anime has one of the best soundtracks ever 😅
