Only one magic seed can exist within a person, if you were to ask me the seeds is similar to the human heart, blood flows in from one side and flows out on the other side, coming from the body and then flowing out to the body again (If you don't get it, the heart make it so there's oxygen in the blood for the muscles, etc.) fusing it together is like stitching two hearts together, which in the end not having enough room to pump and ended up crushing the heart in the process since it's actually the muscles that pumping the heart with blood. Magic flows into the seeds and come out in that seed magic type, if you were to ask me, Natsu don't need the seeds anymore, except that he won't be able to use demon magic anymore since he didn't have it for long, but i assure you he can still use dragon slayer magic, cause from what i see, the seeds is more like training wheels to help your kid get used to riding the bike, so at this point after years of using Dragon Slayer magic Natsu should be able to naturally form fire dragon slayer magic without much trouble.

This is literally one of the worst scenes in all of anime history. Not only was the entire concept of END thrown down the gutter but the flashback lacked real emotion and human build up.
