Let's go watch Lucy bond with Brandish, I GUESS."
Oh and too add more piss into the fire , lets rez god serena to be a minion of the undead and lets have him square off gildarts and get completely one shot as he did when he 'fought' Acnologia. i was just speechless at that point. another list to the wasted potential of characters on this anime that pains me so.

Hyberion's power resembles like Gravity Magic despite being called Vampire Magic. Could've been better if his magic constricted the enemy's blood flow since he looks like a vampire hence the gravity-pulling effect and made sense that God Serena was holding his neck in pain. Wolfheim's power kinda resembles Elfman's take-over ability. Nothing special to be honest since Elfman already exists for that ability. I'd expected Jura to hold his own better against God Serena because he was super strong when he was introduced. Warrod himself said that his Tree Magic or something was not suited for combat but it was useful enough to momentarily immobilize God Serena.
I think Hyberion's vampire's magic may work like draining blood = draining oxygen, so target has breathing problem and is holding his neck in this specific gesture. Where/when does it look like gravity magic 4u?

They rushed tge ending so much like natsu defeated two immortals(the most powerful beings) without any scratch and he beat the two in a row. No power ups nothing just with the power of friendship he defeated two immortals in a row.
Natsu didn't defeat Zeref. Their fight took all the magic power out of Zeref that he couldn't move and Mavis ultimately defeated Zeref using their curse of contradiction. Natsu even says something like, "You can handle the rest, right?"
First off, against Zeref the best he did was overpower what amounted to one attack and temporarily incapacitated him, and even that incapacitation was likely more of a mental issue than a physical one. And what did the most amount of work in killing Acnologiaa wasn't Natsu, Fairy Sphere, or any of the other Dragon Slayers, it was him getting sent into that place of nonexistence. A lot of people seem to forget that after he broke out of there, although he had more magical power, he was also so unstable that he body and spirit were separating, and the reason he grabbed the dragon-slayers in the first place was to stabilize himself from dying. What Natsu did when amped was basically the equivalent of doing 1% of Acnologia's HP when Acnologia accidentally tried to block with the arm he no longer had, and was frozen by Fairy Sphere, keep in mind that given Fairy Sphere's temporal displacement it's likely that destabilized him even more, and then that hit was what finally knocked him over the edge and made him fully destabilize. But Acnologia was already dying, and if they had managed to just stay alive and uncaptured for long enough he'd have died anyways.

Irene had more than 400 years of experience and not to mention insane magic power. So how did a tiny girl countered all of her enchantments? The amount of magic and experience Irene had, Wendy shouldn't have been able to counter any of her enchantments. Erza was like a freak of nature. Immune to all attacks with unlimited magic power, destroyed meteorite with all broken bones and also destroyed a full fledged dragon with a sword 🤣

It went from "This is not even close to a winnable fight" to "This isn't a fight anymore because both Erza and Wendy are incapacitated." That should logically be it, right? If Irene wants to keep them alive or continue her goal of enchanting her personality onto Wendy to gain a new body, she should have all the right to do so. Otherwise, from both the protagonists AND the viewer's perspective, the only possible way that situation goes differently is if an external source affects the outcome, e.g. someone like Mest appearing to steal them away, or someone comes to fight Irene in their stead. Now, while I would have some words about that because that tends to be how Fairy Tail does things, it would at least be better. I'm pretty sure her backstory got revealed during this if I remember the episodes correctly, so the angle he had to take was losing the mental fight. And to be honest, I don't even completely fault this fight for it because it had some good ideas! Irene being enraged at the idea that the gen 1 dragon slayers simply just "ignored" the whole dragon seed concept makes sense, it's like living with cancer for 10 years only to find out a treatment was developed but you couldn't access it. Her toying with Erza and playing around with her attacks, then being apathetic towards her existence to mask the fact she doesn't completely want to kill her blood daughter is also pretty solid writing. It's when Irene just basically turns around on that entire set of actions by breaking every bone in her body, THEN summoning a meteor, and only after watching that meteor be destroyed by "plot", THEN offing herself that the entire idea of winning the mental fight just seems absurd.
I'm trying to justify this as best as I can. Warrod himself said his magic wasn't great for combat, Jura earth magic can't affect God Serena with Earth Dragon Slayer magic. So basically it's a 1v2. Right? Like they could have explained that said better to justify God Serena single handedly wiping out the super hyped top Wizard Saints.

Which makes 29. Then you have other guilds, with people like Sting or Sherria who fought the spriggans, which makes them scale much higher then wizard saints and that's 30+. There's probably a few more I'm missing, but I can't see how saints rank any higher? The only display we see of them is a 4v1 against one spriggan and they jobbed.

It's censored here, but Acnologia literally ripped a chunk out of God Serena, I don't think August knows a spell fast enough to heal him before he would be irreversibly dead. Plus I would guess that Acnologia would rip his head off as well if he tried that.
He only knows every magic there is because he just copies it. He doesn't truly know everything on his own. The only magic that is his was that Ars Magia he tried before dying.
I still can’t get over how much they butchered this arc. In the manga, it’s extremely obvious Acnologia just tore a chunk out of God Serena and he dies in a pool of his blood, compared to here where it doesn’t even compare to the first season where everything was great.
Azuma and August was the closest to ever beat FairyTail but well, Mashima happened and till today no one has been able to beat any of the FairyTail members. What is the point of hyping up the villains and then none of them are capable of actually beating any of them.

Even with the animation aside, this arc suffers the same problem with the 1000 year blood war from Bleach; it's rushed & they made the antagonists too strong to the point the only way for the MC to win is by total plot armour

It's when Irene just basically turns around on that entire set of actions by breaking every bone in her body, THEN summoning a meteor, and only after watching that meteor be destroyed by "plot", THEN offing herself that the entire idea of winning the mental fight just seems absurd.
I'm trying to justify this as best as I can. Warrod himself said his magic wasn't great for combat, Jura earth magic can't affect God Serena with Earth Dragon Slayer magic. So basically it's a 1v2. Right? Like they could have explained that said better to justify God Serena single handedly wiping out the super hyped top Wizard Saints.

@@mayhemark They do rank outside of the top 30 tho... 12 spriggans, Zeref, Acno, 5 dragon gods. That's already 19. Then you have the main team from FT, Jellal, Laxus, Gildarts, that's another 10. Which makes 29. Then you have other guilds, with people like Sting or Sherria who fought the spriggans, which makes them scale much higher then wizard saints and that's 30+. There's probably a few more I'm missing, but I can't see how saints rank any higher? The only display we see of them is a 4v1 against one spriggan and they jobbed.
@@NatePhan that's exactly the case the fight between the ishgar saints was written too bad it made the 4 saints look pathetic...it could've been a lot better...if we were being realistic i still don't see sting beating any of the 4 ishgar gods even with his rogue+minerva boosted strength...shelia too is an iffy one i feel bcos although the 3rf origin boosted her greatly....she was still struggling against dimaria and had it not been for Wendy's enchantments, she could've lost...jellal's recent showings too don't put him that high in a pedestal i feel,he never ranked higher than the saints or was it bcos if his siegrain halved power thingy....i don't even see gajeel and gray beating hyberion in a real fight...no elemental advantages against him...the hype they got was messed up so badddd...and sorry for not clarifying but the top 30 rankigs i was speaking of was pre 100 yrs arc...and the whole point of me replying is how they deserved a better showing and maybe let god serena struggle a bit? Plus I would guess that Acnologia would rip his head off as well if he tried that.

He only knows every magic there is because he just copies it. He doesn't truly know everything on his own. The only magic that is his was that Ars Magia he tried before dying.
I still can’t get over how much they butchered this arc. In the manga, it’s extremely obvious Acnologia just tore a chunk out of God Serena and he dies in a pool of his blood, compared to here where it doesn’t even compare to the first season where everything was great.

This Arc mishandled every single hyped up character in the series. Every single fight was a let down and followed the same formula. New enemy appears, shows his/hers op magic and is kicking fairy tail ass, then out of nowhere fairy tail pulls a power of friendship and defeats the enemy in one hit. Literal kindergaten level writing.
